The house was super clean and very nice. The setting is very relaxing. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to unplug from the world.

Unique, spacious, and quiet

This unique almost new home was a perfect getaway spot for my wife and I. Out in the country, but very handy to the lakes. Nicely appointed inside with a spacious deck to look over the peaceful farmhand surrounding it. It was handy to the wonderful Oak Hill/Oak Leaf Cafe, which we visited several times during our stay. I would gladly return here for a future visit to FLX.

June 2026 couples trip

Vacation home had all of the amenities I would expect furniture was comfortable rooms were large and open truly enjoyed our time there if there was anything that I would improve upon would be that the steps were pretty steep so you need to be aware of that and the very first step is a little higher than normal. Location was very nice quiet no view of the lake, however was very secluded and nice place to rest and relax.

Beautiful Escape

We were looking for a quiet retreat from everyday life and this was the perfect choice for us. Just a beautiful space, loved the fairy tale feel of it! Can't wait to stay here again!!!!

The property was excellent on the inside. The outside pictures are misleading since we encountered very high weeds and grass surrounding the property and entrance to the deck. We were instructed to place trash in appropriate bins under the deck which we contacted the rental manager and sent pictures of the weed mess. It gives a very bad appearance to a nice home. The upstairs deck and the inside was perfect and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Living room furniture and bed were very comfortable.

The property was beautiful. Right down the road from PennYan and several stores and restaurants. The open floor plan was not bad for a couple but I would be aware of it if coming here with kids or friends. The stairs are hard to get up for some people, especially the first step is pretty steep.

We loved staying here and the house exceeded our expectations! By staying on the second story, the views are great and makes the space feel even larger, especially with having views every direction. The outdoor seating area was a great bonus - the fire table a wonderful surprise and perfect for fall evenings. The area was quiet (you can hear cars when outside but not bothersome at all!), and the location convenient to get downtown. It was clear that the furnishings and house are taken care of as everything was comfortable and very clean. The location to Oak Leaf down the street was also ideal, where you can grocery shop, get food at the cafe, and they even have a large play area for kids. While this is very close, there is no traffic or additional noise that we found that was being created by being down the street. We will definitely be back!

Almost perfect

I gave this property a five , because it was certainly way better than a four. It is clean and perfect and in great condition. A couple of things that bothered me were. I got a teaser note offering late check out , but in the fine print there was a charge. The management company trying to up sell me . Two the water has a supper smell to it they need to fix that it is a strong odor. I would stay here again .

This place is absolutely amazing! You are literally in the middle of a cornfield — secluded, peaceful, and so quiet. The house itself is spotless and meticulously cared for. Every detail — from the woodwork, counters, trim, and cabinets — was thoughtfully designed, and it shows the moment you walk in.One of our favorite parts was sitting out on the patio by the fire table! This was the most relaxing getaway I could have ever asked for. The location is perfect too: just a 25-minute drive to Watkins Glen, with easy access to Buttermilk Falls, Ithaca, Seneca Lake, and Cayuga Lake. We loved exploring the waterfalls, the lakes, the scenic farms, and all the little fruit and vegetable stands along the way.You must go to Oak Hill Bulk Foods — not once, but multiple times! There was not a single thing we bought that wasn’t amazing, and the prices are fabulous. We actually stocked up on food and even brought some home with us. Having it right next door is such a treat.This was our 29-year anniversary trip, and there was nothing about it that was bad — especially the house. When I was searching, I was comparing regular hotels that cost the same as this entire place, and honestly, there’s no comparison. This house is an incredible value, and the experience is on a completely different level.Highly, highly recommend!
