Welcome to KaMilo 111, where your Big Island Vacation truly begins! Enter the door to this beautifully furnished home and you will immediately feel the wear and tear of your long journey here begin to melt away, as you open up the 15 foot pocket doors and step onto your lanai and gaze out at the lush green landscaping that surrounds what you will call home for the next week (or three?).

3 spacious bedrooms, each with their own High Definition TVs and comfortable beds await the weary traveler, enticing you to relax and settle in for a quick nap before hitting the beach.

The gourmet chef's kitchen begs for some fresh island fish or grass-fed local beef to be cooked for the whole family, while the lounge-style outdoor seating area is the perfect place to unwind with a mai tai after a long hard day at the beach.

Great Location ! Very tired interior/Finishes

Location is great but this property is obviously up for sale as the amenities are very tired. House is well worn along with the bedding,cushions, beach chairs ,bikes,kitchen itensils. I would stay here again after it sells as this owner has lost touch for whatever reason on the property. Property management contact was a highlight and responsive.

Wonderful location but needs updating

We stay in Mauna Lani every year for Thanksgiving and the location is incredible. There's plenty to do nearby, wonderful restaurants and beaches. This property itself needs a bit of a refresh. The main living room couch is stained and missing nearly all of its buttons, the outdoor furniture is all stained (we put towels down to sit on them) and the carpets are all stained. They also show photos of a golf cart in the garage and that is not included. The rate is a little on the medium/higher side so we were hoping for it to feel a little nicer. The property manager was easy to communicate with and the check in/out was super easy.

Condo condition

The condo was not maintained at all It was not very clean. Outside furniture was so stained that we put towels on it. One dish towel and one dish cloth and we were there for 1and 1/2 months. Lots of issues. Food in the refrigerator. We only had one key. Tv had to be repaired and the AC. I would not recommend this condo.

Great Location, Beautiful House

We just checked out of KaMilo 111 and already miss it! This gated community is one of the best we’ve stayed at here in Mauna Lani! The house is conveniently located just inside the gate, not too far from the pool. If we needed groceries or snacks, we could run right down to Foodland. In the evenings, we’d catch the sunset at nearby Holoholokai Beach/Petroglyph Park. If you’re one that likes to hang out at the pool or gym, you’re in luck because this community has really great options! There are 2 pools (quiet pool for adults and a separate family pool) and a hot tub, as well as a really large gym with great equipment! We had 2 couples and 2 kids staying in the house and it fit everyone very comfortably. The layout was perfect because each family could have their own half of the house. It came with beach gear, a golf cart (loved this!), and a lovely lanai where we got to hang out in the evenings. And the kitchen came fully stocked with everything we could have needed. Another big plus was how easy it was to communicate with the property manager, Kai. He was always just a text or phone call away if we needed him. Overall, we loved our stay at this property, and would stay here again. Hopefully everyone else loves their stay here just as much as we did!

Property was spot on as listed. House was beautiful. Couple of small issues taken care of quickly, except tv which we didn’t really care much about. Communication with Kai was great!! Beds were comfortable but pillows need to be replaced, really flat.

Amazing property

Our family loved this home and the surrounding area. The home was super clean, the air conditioning was amazing, the beds were great, the kitchen is perfect, Kai was easy to contact as needed to answer questions, and the gated community is immaculate. The backyard lanai is peaceful and has a beautiful view of the nearby golf course. The community pool and exercise room is within walking distance and both are super clean and beautiful. I would not hesitate to rebook this property. We had an amazing experience.

Nice place, nice amenities, a bit worn out,

The condo floor plan, location, development were wonderful. We were disappointed by the wear and tear. Broken blinds, broken lightbulbs, a refrigerator shelf that fell off and broke a bunch of eggs. Broken glass dining table covered by a placemat. Very stained outdoor furniture. A water stain on the kitchen floor. Wet sheets on one of the beds. The property manager was very responsive, but many of these issues couldn’t be fixed. We’ve never seen so much damage to a Mauna Lani rental over the 15 years renting around here.

Beautiful Location and Great Floorplan

Wonderful Vacation

Beautiful place and excellent location. Would highly recommend Golf cart was very useful. Easy access to great beaches. Kitchen had all of the amenities we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Family fun

A great place for a family stay: close to beaches, pool, and grocery; good shopping and restaurants not too far. Best of all for our mixed age group was the use of the house snorkeling equipment and sand play items. Bikes, golf cart and paddle board are also available. The neighborhood and shared pool areas are beautifully maintained, the house and kitchen have everything one could possibly want.

Cozy and Well Equipped Home

This was not only our first trip to the Big Island but also using VRBO so naturally, we were a little anxious about the unknown. We had read previous reviews and with the early responsiveness from Kai on our inquiries, we opted to rent this home and are SO glad we did! The home offers all the basic amenities and then some between a very well equipped kitchen and nice selection of beach toys. The house was very clean, beds were comfy and provided ample towels and linens. Location wise, it’s a convenient ride to the private beach club (which is amazing particularly if you have little ones you’re traveling with) as well as local shops/restaurants. Kai was also kind enough to extend our checkout to accommodate a late flight (day between rentals so this might not always be feasible) but the gesture was very much appreciated as it allowed for an extra family day in the water. The kids were a little disappointed that the golf cart was not available for use but it would have been more of a perk, didn’t inconvenience us one bit. The construction next door is pretty substantial as they’re building a new unit but we never had any type of noise disturbance. Overall, this was a perfect family getaway with beautiful views and relaxing accommodations - we will definitely be returning!

Lovely spot in Kamilo

Perfect for our family of 4 during Christmas Week

Our family of 4 (ages 50, 48, 25, and 21) had a wonderful stay at this fantastic rental from Dec 22 - 31. The Christmas week on the Big Island is a really busy time at all of the restaurants, beaches, and hotels. What a perfect way to enjoy the big island and escape to a great home away from home for our family time! The golf view is fantastic, so much that we ended up playing golf on Christmas Day. The home is situated on the North course of Mauna Lani. We walked to the Fairmount for dinner and Brown's. The shopping center is right down the street. The kitchen is a chef's paradise. We loved the community pool, although the heater was out of service so the water was a little cool and had a nice "cool" tub, versus "hot" tub. The cold water was great for swimming laps. The owner's stocked this house with so many extras. We loved the location and the house. The beach club was great, a little crowded for Christmas, but we did see whales from the overlook which was a bonus. The snorkeling was excellent at the beach club. Our family loved Hapuna Beach which was about 3 miles away....even though it was crowded everyone had a spot and it didn't feel overcrowded.. Hope we can rent again real soon! Mahalo, Kai and James for the management and to the owners who made their piece of paradise a rental option!

Troy and Cecilia were born and raised in Anchorage Alaska, however Hawaii is their second home. They have visited and vacationed in Hawaii for over 40 years and have finally found the perfect location and realized a life long dream of having a second residence there. Kona is the perfect getaway from the long cold Alaska winters: many times a 100 degree difference for only a 5 hour non stop flight makes it very appealing.

Kamilo has all the benefits Hawaii has to offer in one resort. We were adamant to have a view from our residence and were lucky enough to get one of the few units with a full unobstructed view of the golf course from our private lanai. Having the beach less than a ½ mile away is the other key to the location of our unit, 4 miles of white sand beach is a blessing to have just a short walk or golf cart ride away. Combine the view, the beach, a 2 acre recreational area with 2 swimming pools and a state of the art workout facility and you have a complete package with something for everyone. Kamilo has restaurants, shopping and a grocery store within a mile of the unit so everything you want and need is at your fingertips.

Built in 2013, this is a newer unit with new and upgraded amenities and appliances. Everything is top shelf and upgraded from the appliances to the ceiling treatments to accent the vaulted ceilings, wall coverings and new window treatments. The pocket doors open the living area to the lanai making it a pleasurable indoor / outdoor environment to enjoy the cool tropical breeze and golf course vistas. The new construction is state of the art with one common wall that is sound protected you would think it is a single family house. We have furnished the home with amenities equal to the level of quality of our upscale home, to make it comfortable, pleasurable and relaxing. Included in the rental is the use of the garage, bicycles, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach toys /towels etc.. Enjoy your vacation!
