Elegantly Appointed Home in the Historic District by Lucky Savannah

Built in 1867, the Mayorā€™s Quarters has three bedrooms and two bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to five Lucky guests. It is the ideal choice if youā€™re looking for the charm of an historic home without sacrificing the convenience of downtown living.

Each room of the home is steeped in relaxed elegance, with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities. Throw back the shutters and let the sunlight stream into the welcoming living room, with original hardwood floors and decorative hearth. Pocket doors lead to the adjacent six-seat dining room, where more stately antiques and period charm abound. A full bathroom with walk in shower is located underneath the stairs. The updated, fully equipped kitchen has everything youā€™ll need, and the adjacent ā€œkeeping roomā€ is a truly special brick-lined enclave with cozy seating for intimate conversations or curling up with a good book. French doors in the kitchen lead out to your spacious and private brick-paved courtyard. Equipped with a gas grill and ample seating, youā€™ll be able to enjoy Savannahā€™s perfect weather dining al fresco.

Upstairs, youā€™ll find three bedrooms are elegantly appointed with rich, dark woods and soothing neutral tones. The full bath upstairs boasts marble tile, his and her pedestal sinks, and a cast iron claw foot tub. The first bedroom has a Queen-size bed, ornamental fireplace and tons of closet space. An oversized second bedroom is quite large for the neighborhood, and has a Queen-size four-poster bed and ample closet space to accommodate longer stays. The third bedroom is charming and cozy, offering a Twin bed, tucked below a window overlooking Lincoln Street.

This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door and in the area. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came to town to show our cousins Savannah for the first time and also to visit my son & daughter in law for her birthday. The property was so charming and had tons of space. The beds were SUPER comfortable and the area was close to everything and quiet. The only negative if I had to give one is that the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom is lacking and the mechanism is difficult to manage. We had no issue using the other shower though.

What a Find

This was property was a great find and could accommodate all four of us and give us space to enjoy ourselves without feeling cramped. Proximity to Forsyth Park which has a great market on Saturday mornings. Savannah is a very walkable city and we parked our car upon arrival on Friday night and did not crank it up until we left Sunday morning. Savannah in the summer time can be the front porch of hell temperature wise, but the house that was built in the late 1800's was cool all weekend. Although it was incredibly warm, we walked everywhere and took breaks. This is an amazing place.

Fantastic location with parking easily accessible right around our front door. Would definitely pick this place again. It was decorated in simple, charming elegance. All amenities provided including plenty of towels/washcloths. Any questions we had Lucky Savannah promptly answered with a simple phone call. This was our first experience with a Lucky Savannah property after using hotels on our visits. We will definitely use them again and this property if available.

Lucky Savannah was great!

We really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately weather was cloudy and rainy so we enjoyed the house even more so we could stay in, have a real kitchen and room to spread out. We are all avid coffee drinkers so a new coffee maker would have been great since issues with one in house. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time. The management company was very friendly and responsive and thank you for this too!!

This place is beautiful. Perfect location. Charming and beautifully decorated. This home is exactly how it looks in the pictures. We did however have an issue. One of my friends woke up with large bites on her face and arm. Thought maybe a mosquito got into her room. It wasnā€™t until the last day while packing and she shook the blankets that she found a couple of bugs in her bed that looked like bed bugs. We took pictures and contacted management. They said they were sending over a tech right away. Thatā€™s fine we are leaving though. We were all concerned now that we were bringing home bed bugs. Contacted management again the next day to be told that their team inspected and didnā€™t find bed bugs but thought it could be carpet Beatles. Look it up. They bite and infest too. They said one might have slipped through and they trusted their team and that was it. I expressed our disappointment that no offer was made for a small reimbursement as a token. Wasnā€™t asking for full reimbursement. Maybe 200 as you do pay premium price for this lovely property. Nothing was offered. I thought long and hard about this review because I donā€™t want to give impression that this home was dirty and not up to par but I felt it important to give our experience to let others know. Again beautiful home great location, comfortable beds and well stocked. However once home we have left our suitcases in our garages, washed everything twice in hot water and sprayed everything. Not how we wanted it to end

Sisters Trip 2024

Stayed for 4 glorious days. Property is nicely located to park, restaurants and even a Kroger all within walking distance! The outdoor space is nice and relaxing and the home is roomy and decorated to make you feel like you are in the old time era with all the modern conveniences.

Also, the hot water for the upstairs shower was not working which was frustrating to pay so much and not have hot water. Great location and walking distance to everything! Itā€™s a beautiful home and stocked with everything you could need. The leasing company was quick to assist at check-in when our door code didnā€™t work, which is great! The only thing we didnā€™t care for was the home lacked comfortable seating and the showers were both tricky to use due to age of home and plumbing setup. I love that they kept with the historic feel when decorating but it just wasnā€™t comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. We did however love the courtyard area.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home. There were some problems. Needs to be sprayed for bugs. We had to remove some pretty big live bugs on the first floor while we were there. Also the twin bed upstairs needs a new mattress. Very uncomfortable. The biggest thing we were not happy about was the owner has most of the cabinets in the kitchen locked up so they can not be used. zero space provided for panty area. We had to store our groceries on the counter tops. This makes for a messy kitchen during our stay. The house itself and the furniture is all nice (except the twin bed). If the owner wants to rent out their house, please provide pantry space in the kitchen or don't rent out your house! Lincoln street is much busier and nosier than we had anticipated. We love Savannah and come at least 3 times a year. I would not stay in the this home again

Review of Lucky Savanah property

Overall great place, spacious, high ceilings, nice patio in back, good location with a little safe walk up to River St and down to Starland District. And 5 minutes to Forsyth. Plenty of cookware and other household amenities. The mattress on the bed in the mini bedroom needs replacement.
