When you walk through the door it feels as though you just stepped into a issue of Costal Living Magazine!

Enjoy the outdoor living by the fire pit, BBQ and outdoor heat lamp - Step inside to a true beach cottage inspired by all things nautical. This beautiful beach cottage has everything you need. Luxury linens and towels, two televisions, board games, a library of books and magazines and a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen or take a 5 minute drive to one the many restaurants in the area.

7 miles to Half Moon Bay and Ritz Carlton Resort
20 miles to San Francisco International airport
25 miles to San Francisco/Bay Area
48 miles to Santa Cruz

*PLEASE NOTE* We do not have a lock/key box at the house. You will be personally greeted upon check in and check out.

We love this house like it's our own. We have been renting this house for years and everytime we step foot on the property we say, WOW. The place is immaculate, the grounds are gorgeous and Teresa and Glen always pay attention to all the details Big and Small. Lori always greets us with love and a beautiful smile, and gives the same when we depart. Absolutely our favorite vacation spot. The area has so much to offer ( hiking, biking) and Teresa and Glen make it so comfortable with Bikes and all the information needed to really enjoy the area!!

My friends and I had a great stay at Teresa and Glenn's house in Half Moon Bay. The accommodations are very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The place was spotless when we arrived and the check-in process was straightforward. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to everything we needed. We hope to stay there again.

What a delight! Beautifully decorated beach house with all of the amenities needed for our week in HMB. Comfy beds, relaxing living room, and rear patio every morning. We couldn’t ask for a better home for a vacation with our visiting family from China. Highly recommended!!

A magical home away from home!

Everything about the Boxwood House is perfect - the breathtaking curb appeal & gorgeous lamdscaping, the beachwalk-adjacent location, the thoughtfully stocked kitchen/pantry and amenities, the beyond-charming and comfortable decor, and the heartfelt care that is so clearly invested in every detail, making this truly a magical home away from home.

Beautiful, comfortable home

We had a great stay. Home is beautiful inside and out. The online photos don't do it justice. Lovely front and back yard. Comfortable relaxation areas. Home amazingly well stocked with everything you'll need. Good location with close, easy access to coast, restaurants and markets.

Ultimate relaxation

Great property! We stayed for 2 weeks. An amazing place to relax and unwind. Feels like a little oasis tucked away in the neighborhood. House itself is expertly decorated and has everything you would need for the stay and more. The owners truly go above and beyond. Property is a short walk to the beach (<10 mins) and a few good restaurants (15-30 mins). Bikes are provided and there is easy access to miles of beautiful coastline trails.

Nice House

Nice spacious house in a good quiet location within easy walking distance of beach. Well equipped with a lot of attention to detail - eg rugs provided so you can sit outside in the evening. Owner and manager were responsive to queries/issues. Driveway is not flat - our car (Nissan Altima) kept grounding on the drive but you can park on the street. SUV should be OK

Beautifully well presented house

Have just spent a week in Teresa's beautiful home. Wow, what a place. The attention to detail and furnishings were fantastic - my daughter said it was the most comfortable bed she has ever slept in !! Opportunities to have cosy log fires inside and out, and everything you want in a kitchen. The use of their bikes for the (flat) coastal path was also a great touch. You are personally greeted upon check in by a lovely lady called Lorri who took us around the property and was an appreciated touch. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful time here. The house is in a perfect location to explore the area and has everything you need to enjoy the beach nearby. We especially enjoyed going on bike rides along the coastal trail and to get to local restaurants, and the easy walking access to a nearby forest trail. My son did surf camp during our stay here and it turned out that the meet up for camp was just dowh the road from us. Perfect week!

Peaceful retreat

We loved staying at Teresa and Glenn's beautiful beachouse. The house was immaculate, very well stocked and incredibly comfortable. Close access to beaches, trails, stores was so convenient. Staying there rather than the city really felt like a vacation, it was very relaxing. The owners were very responsive and we enjoyed the delicious wine and muffins they kindly left for us. A special mention to Lorri who greeted us, her kindness and generosity truly touched our hearts and made our stay even more special. It was a perfect stay!

Our second home

I can not say enough about the house, Teresa and Glen and of course Lori! The house is immaculate, the accommodations are extremely comfortable and the host go out of their way to make our stay FANTASTIC! We love this house and consider Teresa, Glen and Lori family. Thank you for another great stay at this beautiful house and beautiful area. So much to do and see. Truly Spiritual!

Great coastside stay

The house is in a nice neighborhood a couple blocks from the beach/harbor. Nicely decorated and very pleasant. We visited the coastside and did San Francisco a couple days (only 30 min drive). Communication and setup was great.

Fabulous family stay in Half Moon Bay

We had a wonderful time at Teresa and Glenn's property! The house is exactly as described and so much more. Whether you're looking to enjoy a quiet stay in HMB or use it (as we did) for home base for your Bay Area excursions, this is a wonderful spot, we could have stayed here forever! The house has all the amenities you need, along with some very sweet surprise treats from Teresa and Glenn. They have thought of everything! Lorri was also very gracious while introducing us to the property and checking us out. She made sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the back yard and fire pit as well as cooking together in the kitchen. We always had everything we needed for whatever we wanted to do. It was also the perfect, relaxing spot to land after a full day of exploring San Francisco. So close to the beach and the adorable downtown HMB we found this to be the perfect spot with all the amenities we could ask for - and so much more! Thanks to Teresa, Glenn, and Lorri for helping to make our family trip so amazing!!! We can't wait to come back and stay here again.

Another outstanding stay

My family and I have stayed at this property several times and have been pleased every time. The house is very comfortable and the owners have thought of everything to make guest feel at home from binoculars for bird watching to supplies for s’mores. We look forward to staying again soon!

Beach House Getaway

This was one of the cutest VRBO properties in which we've stayed, and we've stayed in many. We've never had the personal check-in experience that Lori provides. She was so sweet, had some great restaurant recommendations and all the extra goodies she left were just above and beyond the usual amenities. The house itself was in a great location, and made it easy to travel the coast north or south and was a quick drive away from the city, where we attended a concert. Although we were there during the atmospheric river / bomb cyclone event, we built a fire and stayed cozy while watching it rain. The house decor makes it fun to stay indoors and explore all the whimsical details and book collections throughout. Thank you Lori for the care you take and thank you Theresa and Glenn for sharing your home with us. We hope to return some day. Sherri and David Flagstaff, AZ

Our stay at boxwood by the sea was just perfect

From start to finish renting this property was amazing. The house is gorgeous. The owners and Lori were so accommodating and every small touch they did made us feel welcome. 100% would stay on at their property again. It's beautiful and even better than advertised.

This property is set up exactly the way we would want to find a property when we travel. We have given this a lot of thought and touched on just about everything one could want while on vacation. Ironed sheets, fluffy towels, lush bathrobes, fully stocked kitchen, commercial washer and dryer, current magazines, (Teresa's addiction), books, games, movies, music, wine, cheese, coffee and cake!
