Location is paramount in this exquisite 4BD/4BA Pottery Barn-inspired home, perfectly positioned for summer adventures. Our new photos now show our new deck and all remodeled bathrooms!

Exciting update! The Homewood Bound house is now equipped with air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable during those hot summer days.

Rental of the Homewood Bound House also grants access to McKinney Shores HOA private beach and pier, just a short 5 minute stroll away. Just down the road, you will find Obexer's Boat Company with launch ramp, boat charters and jet ski rentals, and West Shore Sports with rentals for stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes.

Explore the scenic bike path leading north to Fire Sign for breakfast and lunch, Sunnyside, or Tahoe City; or you can head south to Sugar Pine State Beach. Don't feel like going out? Stay home and enjoy cornhole, horseshoes, ping-pong, or barbecue on the deck in the wooded backyard.

First Floor
Inside the main floor features an inviting open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and expansive windows.

Entertain effortlessly, with doors leading to the new sprawling back deck overlooking the serene backyard, complete with a hot tub, ping-pong table, corn hole and horseshoes.

The fully-equipped, kitchen has all the amenities, including a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, double oven, gas cooktop, microwave, and bar seating for four.

Relax in the cozy living area with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace and ample seating, complemented by a 72-inch flatscreen TV.

The bunkroom on the main level sleeps 4 with a flat screen TV to entertain the kids and an adjacent remodeled full bathroom.

The second bedroom, on the opposite side of the house from the Kid's room, invites privacy and a restful night’s sleep in the comfy California king size bed and provides convenience with an adjacent full bathroom.

A roomy laundry room with front loading washer/dryer, wine refrigerator and folding area completes the downstairs layout.

Second Floor
Upstairs, two private bedrooms each featuring sumptuous California king-size beds and ensuite newly remodeled bathrooms, ensure privacy and comfort for all guests.

Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, Sonos speaker with phone app access, cable and Smart TV, and high-speed wireless internet.

Great home that is decorated beautifully. Large bedroom each with a private bathroom with heated floors. The kitchen & family room was great for dinner gatherings. Outdoor deck,BBQ hot-tub set up was awesome. The beach & dock are a quick walk. We will be back next summer for sure.

Great house!

Perfect house for our three generations! 9 people. Beautiful house, very comfortable, everything we needed & more! Three king rooms with en suites & the grandkids loved the bunk room with their own bathroom. Centrally located. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent communication with property management and owners. Highly recommend.

Fabulous

We loved our stay at Homeward Bound. This is clearly a loved home,very welcoming and well cared for,with all the amenities. 4 fabulous bathrooms, as well as 4 bedrooms, 1 of the bedrooms has 4 great bunk beds for kids. There is a large laundry room, Great backyard area, as well as the front. Plenty of room for all of us! Perfect location,convenient ,but quiet. Joanne, the property manager was wonderful and attentive to any needs or questions we may have had.

Great Week in Homewood

Our whole family (6 adults and 4 children) really enjoyed our stay at Homeward Bound. The house is very nicely appointed and in like-new condition. We prepared most of meals there and appreciated the large dining table and the excellent kitchen, dishes, appliances, etc. We took advantage of the private beach every day and also enjoyed the deck and spa area. Highly recommended!

great family vacation

we had a 3 generation family reunion here...kids loved the bunkroom, also the spa, games, tee-pee (we brought a tarp to cover it) and especially the nearby HOA beach. Three couples had privacy and quiet in other 3 bedrooms. Great location on bike path, walk to West Shore Cafe, close to Sugar Pine SP and Meeks Bay.

Very comfortable vacation rental in great location on West Shore

This home has everything needed in a kitchen with high end appliances, sharp knives, plenty of utensils etc for a large group. The jacuzzi is a nice addition but the temp is difficult to lower. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and clean. The beds and bedding are higher end and very comfortable. The bathrooms are stocked with plenty of nice towels, hand soap and toilet paper. The kitchen has absolutely no storage. If you plan on bringing food etc. the only option is the laundry room counter for storage. If you bring bikes in the summer or skis in the winter there is no access to the garage or additional storage (pantry, garage and certain cupboards are locked and can’t be used). You have to leave everything in your car or bring it inside the front door. This also includes coolers. There is no place to keep them except the back deck where the bears will find them even if they only have drinks in them. We stay in tahoe luxury properties every 4th of July in West Shore and this is the first home with no storage or garage options. Joanne is an excellent and prompt communicator. There seems to be neighbor’s that don’t like this home being a rental and complain about noise. Our group was apparently too loud playing corn hole in the backyard at 7pm on the 4th of July. We were also asked to move a truck that was blocking our own driveway. Ridiculous! If you have a boat at Homewood Marina, this is a perfect location. You can easily walk to Obexer’s and Homewood. The bike trail is right out your front door. The upstairs bedrooms can get very warm in the summer. One room has a ceiling fan but there are no plug in fans in either room. The washer and dryer are very nice. There are Meyer’s soap products everywhere which is great. The fire pit is awesome. They have thought of every detail except storage to make your stay easy and comfortable. This street is labeled no parking after May 1 on the opposite side of the street. No one enforces it so this street is used for large truck and boat trailer parking. The TV is huge and has an incredible picture. The instructions on how everything in the house operates are clear and easy to implement. The house is tastefully decorated and from the photos throughout the home you can tell that a lot of great family memories have been shared here.

Excellent home!

We were in Tahoe for our daughters wedding the home was clean and spacious with an open kitchen, four bedroom and four full bathrooms - tons of space. The fire pit and above ground spa was an additional plus. We would recommend this property to our friends and would stay at this home again.

Warm, welcoming, and gorgeous!

We absolutely LOVED this home! It was the perfect space for us to relax, cook, eat have fun and be together! The open floor plan of the first floor was perfect for us all to gather and enjoy each other. And when the kids had to go to sleep, they would retreat to the adorable kids' room where they all slept in the 4 bunks! It was like a continuation of their party! All of the beds are SO COMFORTABLE! Like sleeping on clouds! The kitchen was perfectly equipped with great cooking supplies and serving platters which was perfect for our home cooked Thanksgiving dinner. We felt right at home! Finally, Joanne, was a great host! She left a basket full of supplies to make s'mores for the kids and a bottle of wine for the adults. She made sure we had her contact info and suggested we reach out with any questions. Such a nice touch! We hope to be back to this beautiful home soon!

Excellent location, Quality home w/ high-End Amenities

Joanne was excellent in her description & communication w/ us prior to arrival. The home showed even better than the photos. The entire house is very well appointed w/ well appointed furniture, bedding & kitchen amenities. Location is a 10 & the back yard was a welcome respite after hours at the lake. The Perfect Tahoe House

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this house (Homewood Bound). We love it. The layout is ideal -- 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, so everybody gets a private bathroom. The house is fabulously located -- 5 minute walk to the homeowners beach; 5 minute walk to the market and water sports (i.e. wake boarding, jet skiing, water skiing, etc.). The house is very well appointed; extremely cozy living room; outdoor deck for barbecuing; large jacuzzi spa; ping pong; horse shoe pit; etc. 2 bedrooms upstairs where the adults sleep; 2 bedrooms downstairs where the kids hang out, so everybody has plenty of privacy. I can't recommend this property more highly.

Beautiful, spacious house in PERFECT location!

This is our second time staying at Homeward Bound and plan to rent it again in the future. The house is perfect for our family of 6 and my sister-in-law's family of 5. It is clean, well equipped and cute!! We cooked and spent most of our time on the lovely deck while the kids played ping pong or ran around the yard. Our favorite thing is being on the walking/bike path and so close to Obexer's for our boat (also great coffee and general store) and West Shore Rentals for bikes. Both about a 5 minute walk! Joanne, the rental manager, is very responsive to all questions and needs and is also very nice! In my opinion West Shore is the best shore and Homeward Bound is the best rental I have found so far in many years of visits to Tahoe.

Fantastic Stay

We had a fabulous two week stay in this home. The layout was functional and fun (we have two small children). The house was up to date with nice amenities. Our kids loved playing in the backyard. The location is great. We walked down the bike path to get coffee in Homewood every morning. And the management (Joanne) was wonderful to work with as well. Highly recommend it!

Fabulous home

We cannot recommend this home highly enough. We have spent years coming to the West Shore of Tahoe and this home is the best. Wonderful layout; beautifully appointed with fabulous amenities; great location within walking distance of all water sports and private beach and dock, great dining options. This house has everything!!!

Vacation Week in Tahoe

Beautiful property!! We enjoyed the beautifully decorated and well maintained home so much, it was sometimes difficult to get the family to go outside !! Everyone loved the hot tub, and the kitchen was so well appointed that we were able to enjoy a few delicious dinners "in". We definitely plan to rent this property again!!

Fantastic! – Just like home.

This was our first rental that actually felt like home. The home is perfectly situated in Homewood with access to the beach/pier, marina facilities, restaurants and store – you never need to jump in your car. Large backyard, suited great for family fun. Looking forward to our next trip!
