Emerald #285 Ocean and Pool View

The unit is a second floor corner studio which gets the morning sun on the lanai - a great place to have your breakfast and protection from the sun in the heat of the day. As it is on the second floor you can leave the doors wide open at night to let in the breeze and sound of the waves.

The bed is a King Size Tempur-Pedic.

The lanai over looks the main swimming pool and has a view of the ocean.
MKV was designed and built before the age of the mega resorts. The majority of the property consists of 2 story condos with plenty of green space between buildings. The homeowners association has worked for decades to improve the grounds with a wide variety of trees, flowering plants, gardens and landscape features. This also means the beach has fewer people especially due to the Kaanapali Golf Course to the south and private residences to the north.

NOTE: There is a $35/night facility fee payable to the front desk at check-in. This is to cover WiFi, Parking, Gym, Towels, etc.
Christmas booking - 7 night minimum.

Relaxing and Amazing!

This condo is the spectacular, the owners have given a great deal of thought to what is needed in the condo and there is nothing missing. We had a much needed relaxing vacation. Enjoying the sun and fun of the Kaanapali beach. We can't wait to come back again.

Beautiful location

Amazing Anniversary

This was our 35th anniversary trip! We’ve always stayed at the Marriott on our previous trips. I’m so glad we found this amazing studio! It’s perfect. The owners have taken every expense to make sure that your experience is exceptional! Nothing was overlooked. They even gave us information about where to shop, snorkel, eat and hike! They were committed to making our trip amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

We loved the property, and this unit was awesome! We sat on the lanai every morning with our coffee and breakfast, and laptops. You have a great view of the ocean. We did, when we weren't out, use it for other meals too! We received a text from what we assumed was the property management, and asked about towels...we never received a response, which was odd. We went to the front desk and they did help us locate the laundry room (we don't have a problem washing our own towels LOL). We would highly recommend this unit!

Really nice unit steps from the pool and beach. Also very close (5 min walk) to an awesome snorkeling spot. We loved everything about it!

Perfect Hawaiian Holiday

An older complex that has been redone, our unit had a wonderful Hawaiian feel with many tropical touches. The mature landscaping really accentuated the south seas feel of the property, and there was always plenty of room at the pool. (No “towel games” before dawn to get a chair.) The on-site restaurant was super reasonable and GREAT! We had a small mix-up at the beginning of the stay, but it was handled professionally and smoothly. Overall, we have ZERO complaints about this stay and would highly recommend this property!!

Great stay on Kaanapali Beach!

My husband and I have stayed on Kaanapali Beach, Maui many times - too many to count! We have stayed alone together as well as with children. This time it was just the two of us, and we decided that a large single with kitchen would be adequate. We were very pleased with this unit! The owners have furnished/stocked this unit with everything you could want; from kitchen supplies to beach chairs/umbrella to towels. It really feels like you are staying in a place that the owners use. Many times a VRBO barely meets minimum requirements - not the case with this unit! It wasn't the cheapest in terms of price, but it seemed fair considering the amenities. We reluctantly returned home yesterday, but look forward to returning! Thank you Dana and Carmen!!!

This vacation converted me to use VRBO

First time using a VRBO service. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. We booked it last minute and the owners were very accommodating and helpful, although we didn’t utilize them, they made it clear they were ready and available to answer any and all questions and solve any problems if we had them. . The condo has been beautifully updated. The condo and facility has everything you need to make your vacation wonderful. Fully stocked kitchen, books, snorkel gear and beach chairs. Beautifully kept grounds and pool. Decent resturant and bar on the beach. It was an exceptional place to spend a week of our time. We ate breakfast on our lanai and watched whales almost every morning, we played on the beach which is five minutes from the condo, we spent a lot of time at the pool with our son just enjoying the sun. It was an exceptional vacation all around.

We loved everything about this property, from our morning coffee on the lanai looking at the ocean to evening sunsets at the beach. The owners were extremely accommodating and very helpful in recommending their favorite things to do. The on line description was very accurate and the location was excellent. Great location, very clean and everything that is needed for your stay is stocked well, having easy access to the trail and the Castaway Café ( one of our favorites ) was great ! Would definitely stay in this room again, we had to reschedule our arrival date due to Hurricane Lane and Dana was so easy and flexible. Highly recommend !!

Lovely condo with everything you need

Loved our 7 night stay here. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the bed is large and super comfy. Enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony in the mornings and cocktails in the evening as the sun went down. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much.

This is a very well appointed and beautifully decorated condo. The location is outstanding. It has a beautiful ocean view and is nicely tucked away for privacy. The nicest studio we have found at Maui Kaanapali Villas. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We had been going to MKV for 35 years and loved it so much we finally bought a studio in the Banyan Building in 2011. Just when we were comfortable we bought #285 and sold our first one. We want a comfortable place that we can spend the winters where you don't have to plug in the car block heater.

One of the best beaches in the world is steps away.
MKV has an atmosphere that is far more relaxed than any of the other hotels. It is easy to mingle with others or find a quiet place to relax. Our favorite place is on a chaise under the palm trees overlooking the ocean after our morning walk on the beach. We take binoculars for whale watching and a book.

Our annual 'to do' list includes:
A boat dive to Lanai and lots of shore dives. One hour walk every morning.
A spectacular drive with a picnic lunch to the rugged north coast.
Mountain biking directly up hill from MKV - a real thigh burner.
Happy hour at Sansei Seafood at the Kapalua Golf course.
.....everything else is optional.
