There is nothing like the charm and location of Balboa Island. This lovely front house was totally renovated this year while preserving the feel of the original structure. It is located on the sunny side of the street with a very large patio, including a BBQ, dining and sitting areas. There are new windows, wood floors and drywall throughout. A large opening skylight in the stairway brightens the whole house. The living room has a working gas fireplace and surround sound speakers that extend to the patio. Furnished with all new comfy beds, linens and furniture. Large flat screen TVS in living room and all bedrooms. Master suite with newly added master bath and king bed with sitting area. Second bedroom with King bed, and third bedroom with 2 double trundles and twin beds below, when beds are all being used, the room is all bed, but can sleep 4 teenagers or 4-6 children. All new, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, that is perfect for cooking and entertaining. Three paddle boards, five adult and 2 childrens bikes, 3 kayak, razors, a baby pool, and beach chairs, umbrellas are ready for your use. All linens and towels included. Washer/dryer and parking for one car in garage, also an outdoor shower. We have furnished this house for our use, as well as our guests, so hope you will enjoy!! The pictures were taken prior to window coverings which add greatly to the feel of the house.

Sheila was a wonderful host! Location was fantastic, and the house was equipped with everything that we needed (and more) for our stay. Beds were super comfortable and the house was very clean and well kept. Communication and check in process was easy, check out was as well. We truly had a lovely time!

Picturesque Beach House

We had a lovely stay the weekend before Thanksgiving with our 6 and 8 year olds. House was well stocked and the owner was kind enough to meet us here when we arrived to show us around. Beautiful house in excellent location near all Balboa Island has to offer. We would definitely come back again!!

A beautiful home.l! Equipped for everything you might need or desire!... plus it is a wonderful location close to shopping, the Balboa ferry, & the mainland amenities (terrific restaurants). We had the best time! I would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful Beach Home

This beautiful home is the perfect Balboa getaway. Just steps from the sand. Everything was super clean. Home came with bikes, paddle boards and everything you need for a perfect day at the beach.

Thanksgiving

We loved this house and location. There was plenty of space for our group and an amazing location - close to shopping/dining on Marine, just a few houses away from the water - but private as you are not right on the water. The kitchen was stocked as well! It was an overall great experience!

Beautiful home close to Southbay front with lots to do

This house was the best house I've rented on the island. It had two car garage with four kayaks, three excellent paddle boards, and bikes for all ages. Beautiful front patio with tons of outdoor seating which was ideal for covid friendly visiting. I loved it!

Beautiful and comfortable home

We really enjoyed our extended weekend in Balboa! The house is the perfect walking distance to just about everything and has a bonus of parking in the garage! The host has planned for every activity and provided bikes, paddle boards, beach chairs and even a kiddie pool for my two year old daughter! The interior of the house is beautifully decorated with comfy furniture and beds and entertainment options in every room! We were even entertained on a rainy, gloomy night! I can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful, Clean, Perfect Home for Our Long Weekend!

We stayed 4 nights at Sheila's home and couldn't have been happier! We had 2 couples, one 2-year-old and 2 additional adults and the house was perfect for our group. The beds are VERY comfortable - I am 35 weeks pregnant and slept great! We used the kayak, paddle boards, baby pool, beach chairs, beach towels and sand toys that were provided every day. Our toddler loved the short walk to the bay to play in the sand and watch the boats. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the main street with all the shops and restaurants. We appreciated how clean the rooms and kitchen were! Would definitely rent again!

SUPERB in every way!!

We just got back from a 4 night stay in this gorgeous home... it's truly a "home"....so cozy! My sister and I spent hours combing the properties for the perfect place to bring my 88 yr old dad who lives in Chicago. This was far and away the most beautiful: top of the line renovation, just a few steps from the beach (and a bench that overlooks the harbor) as well as just a couple of blocks from town. The owners couldn't have been nicer and more thoughtful with the amenities provided. They were always available for questions ( we weren't familiar with the area) We just loved the island! People couldn't have been friendlier and so much to do in and around the area! It was such a successful trip, we hope to return soon!

The BEST home to rent on Balboa Island!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this home! My goal was to find the perfect home to have a pre-wedding girls getaway for my daughter and family and I found it! From beginning to end Sheila made our time at her home awesome. She offered fantastic referrals for an afternoon at the spa and local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the fun toys that came with her home - the bicycles (so great, we used them every day), beach chairs, beach umbrella and kayaks! We were just steps away from the beach and enjoyed taking the bikes on the ferry over to Newport where we rode along the strand. And the home! - so cute, so comfortable, so beautifully renovated and so CLEAN! Sheila even made sure to offer a crib knowing that my 2 month old granddaughter was part of our girls weekend as well! The ambiance of the home was so appreciated and the front porch was the perfect outdoor space to relax. I was already looking at my calendar before we left to see when I can come back again !
