Come spend a relaxing week or two barefoot on Double Bay, one of the most beautiful beach in the Bahamas. Right in the middle of a spectacular two mile pink sand beach with great snorkeling, Double Bay Beach House offers privacy and tranquility yet is just 20 minutes from historic Governor's Harbour.

The house is situated about midway down the island, perfect location for day trips north and south.

The estate includes a beautifully appointed 3 bedroom/3 full bath beach front home with living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, patio and garden seating areas. Traditional Bahamian tray ceilings, ceiling fans and split air conditioning throughout the main house ensure your comfort on warm days. High speed internet provided, now through Aliv.

Beautifully landscaped with coconut palms and tropical blooms, Double Bay offers a gracious island vacation.

**If your group is a bit larger and you need an additional bedroom, we have 2 other small units on the same property that are also available to rent. The house gives classic bohemian mansion vibes while maintaining a homey feel. All the amenities you can think of. The best ocean sounds I’ve ever slept to.

Paradise 2025

Senza Nome is expansive - great for three couples. Everything was great. the property is beautiful. The best beach in the world is right in front of you. Enjoyed our coffee and sunrises on the deck every morning. Great snorkeling right in front of the house (during low tide the waves are reduced even with an east wind). Carol was very responsive when we had power and water issues that were quickly resolved.

Eleuthra get-away

We love the house and the beach is beautiful. The only problem we had was that the water pressure in both of the bedroom baths was so weak that they were unusable. This was a small price to pay however for great time we had. We will be back.

This home was everything it said and more. The views of the ocean were breathtaking. The views of the gardens and yard were also breathtaking. House was perfect for our extended family and privacy. The deck down by the ocean was perfection! The views were unmatched! Our only complaint was the lack of water pressure in two of the three showers. It was impossible to wash your hair in two of the showers, which meant everyone was showering in one of the bathrooms. The dryer also was not working, but they opened the other property up and allowed us to take out laundry to that house. Again kind of a hassle, but we still give the property and the location five stars! The host was super quick to respond about the dryer issue. The house and the yard are kept immaculate. Wonderful property!

Double Paradise

Perfect location. The beach is beautiful! The views from the patio and house you can enjoy the sounds and beauty of the water. The home is comfortable and has everything you’d need! Very clean. Quiet and peaceful. A garden with blooming flowers. We will definitely be back to this house.

Amazing again

Great house, great beach

Roomy comfortable house with fantastic views. In addition to a front garden patio, there is a large terrace facing the beach, and a wonderful deck right on it. Two large master bedrooms on either end of the house, and another bedroom. Extremely well-stocked, large kitchen. We've already booked for next year. Love Senza Nome!

Truly Paradise

This was an amazing house!! Directly on oceanfront with amazing views from Master! The house had everything you need and more. The power did go out on us maybe twice but just for like 30 minutes or shorter. If you ever wanted to take a trip to the Bahamas I promise you, you would not regret this house. The gardens and flowers are just fabulous! I can’t say enough good about this property and I am truly grateful we got to stay here.

WOW!!! Amazing Property on an Amazing Beach!!!

This is the place to stay! The pictures do not do it justice! Clean and well taken care of. Everything you need is there so just bring swimming suits! Carol was wonderful and completely helpful on WhatsApp! Beach location is literally postcard and cannot say enough about Double Bay. Location is central. 5 Min from Island Farm and 10 Min to nearest restaurant. 20 Min from Governers Harbor. Have Janet cook for you for an evening- Wonderful woman and Completely worth it! Mr. Tony was a pleasure and takes great care of the property and Gardens- Yes GARDENS. Beautiful property and we WILL BE BACK! Thank you for a beautiful stay in Eleuthera! :)

The good, bad & ugly

The good is that it's a lovely, clean, well equipped villa. Very quiet and private with a fabulous view. Perfect for 2 couples and 2 kids. 2 large master suites with full baths. The housekeeper Clarissa brought couch fritters and cake that was a delicious surprise. This house has everything you could possibly need for a perfect vacation. The bad is that the beds are terribly uncomfortable and the water pressure is very low. The ugly is the terrible condition of this absolutely beautiful beach (Double Bay). Plastics were everywhere. Jagged pieces sticking up out of the sand, large crates, buckets, drink caps etc.. Walking the beach is a adventure in not getting injured. Hard to believe that the owners of these multi million dollar homes have not banded together to clean this mess up. No way I would let kids play on this beach. Fortunately there are many beaches in the area that are clean and safe.

A Perfect Stay!!!

Our group consisted of 6 adults (3 couples) and this home was a great find. It has more than enough room to exist comfortably with 6 adults. The home does have 3 bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms is off of the main living area with only a glass door and shutters. It didn't really offer the privacy needed and we anticipated it wouldn't, based on a deep analysis of the online pics, so we rented the studio above the garage and it was perfect! I highly recommend if you have more than 2 couples that want privacy, rent the studio! There are essentially two master bedrooms on opposite ends of the house. Both have an oceanview, but one has a little better view than the other. The beach in the back of the house (Double Bay) is gorgeous. You just can't find a bad beach on Eleuthra! Sitting on the dock in stark darkness and stargazing was an absolute pleasure. The breeeze and ocean song put us at ease...almost to sleep. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need. There is a mini-fridge in addition to the main fridge, but we didn't need it - one was plenty. The grounds are large and the groundskeeper was pleasant and thankful for any extra food we had. Speaking of food, Clarice's meal was the BEST meal we had during our stay (and we ate at several restaurants). She served us bbq chicken, fried conch, fried grouper filets, spiced up rice and plantains. The amount of food she made for 20/person was insane! We had enough food for 3 meals...not exaggerating! We will definitely rank this home as a top stay on our next visit. Thanks so much for another memorable trip to our favorite island on the planet!

Everything we could have hoped for!

1) Beautiful property! Spacious, functional, well stocked house. Graceful dream beach curves on and on for miles with nary a soul. Perfect mixture of sand, wavy days, calm days and snorkeling the beautiful reefs. 2) Clarice, the local housekeeper is worth her weight in gold. She is responsive, joyful, resourceful and is driven by one purpose: to make her guests' stay as memorable and happy as humanly possible. We would return just to see Clarice again! 3) Lisa, the property manager is incredibly responsive with an extreme sense of urgency. You stay in ANY house on an island exposed to withering sand, wind and waves long enough and something will break or go wrong. When that happens, you want to be renting from Lisa because she will bend over backwards to make things right as quickly as possible and she won't rest until the matter is handled. 4) We always stay on the Atlantic because a) wind cools things down; b) wind keeps the bugs away; c) nice mixture of calm, breakers, and waves. In our experience, the Caribbean side is nice for a few hours but it gets hot, buggy and monotonous. 5) House was perfectly situated in middle of island to allow day trips down South (Cape Eleuthera, Lighthouse Beach, Ocean Hole, Boiling Hole Caves, Plum Creek, etc.) and day trips up North (Gaulding Cay, Rainbow Beach, Queens Baths, Surfer's Beach. Coco di Mama, etc.). It took about 1 hour to get all the way up North and about 1 hour to go all the way to the South. If you stay too far South or North you won't be able to get to the other end in a day. That's why we prefer staying right in the middle. 6) House was perfectly situated to benefit from seclusion - most days there was NO ONE on the huge beach right outside the house - and to be just minutes away from Governor's Harbor - that is our favorite town, clean, picturesque, on a stunning bay, and with great groceries, restaurants etc. Also very near Fish Bone restaurant which we'd never been to and was a surprise how much we loved it! 7) Groceries on Eleuthera have ALWAYS been a huge pain and expense UNTIL we stayed at Senza Nome and went to the organic Island Farm literally 2-3 minutes from the turnoff for the house. People drive 1 hour to come to Island Farm and we could stop by there every day for fresh produce, greens, meats, eggs, freshly baked breads, fruits, drinks, alcohol and prepared foods all very reasonably priced. What a find and convenience! Will come again and again!

First let me just say, this property is in the best location! The views are breathtaking! My family & I stayed in the main house & from every room you have amazing views. The beach was absolutely perfect. We only saw 4 people on the beach the entire time we were there. If you want a beautiful long beach to yourself, definitely book this place. The ocean is quite rough on that beach but we had fun playing in the waves. There is Ten Bay beach around the corner & is very calm, perfect for relaxing in the water. The property itself is huge! Beautifully landscaped. Now the house: The house is set up pretty neat. It has a lot of space to spread out so everyone is not tripping over each other. The layout is like a maze but in a good way. The house has pretty much of the basics of what you would need already there. When we first arrived, the water did not work, which was not a good way to start off your vacation. This was due to another renter leaving the outside water running which broke the pump. It just happened that day & the owners were already on it. Plumber came by & fixed it. I'm not sure if it's in the listing & I missed it but there is no phone in the house. We were really confused on this as there are numerous phones with instructions but they did not work. We just bought a cell phone while there since our service provider did not offer service in The Bahamas. Wifi worked really good except in bedrooms. Clarice is such a sweet lady. She came in one day to clean & cooked us dinner another night. We have (I learned we were not the only ones) adopted a little white cat during our stay. She is the most loveable cat. If you encounter her, please take care of her. We left some cat food there for the next renters. All in all....this place is amazing!

Beautiful location

This was our second visit to Double Bay which is one of the nicest beaches in Eleuthera. You can walk left and right and usually not see another person. As others have commented, Clarice is extremely helpful and make sure to have her cook for you. The four of us ate for days on one meal she prepared. The beds were comfortable as was the AC. The house is a bit dated but didn’t take away from our enjoyment. Unfortunately, there are no lounge chairs or umbrellas for the beach and with no shade on the beach it made for very sunny days. All that was available was 4 deck chairs and beach towels. Better amenities should be provided for a beach house. But all in all our stay was very enjoyable.

It’s all true

Well appointed house on one of the more beautiful beaches on the island. Plenty of privacy yet convenient to grocery stores, gas stations and other beaches. Great communication with the host and Clarice is very helpful. Definitely would stay again when we return to Eleuthra.

Pretty good

The beach is stunning and very private. Great for a long walk. The property the house sits on is very large and has a lot of room to walk around, etc. The house layout is nice and the views are beautiful. But, the house is very tired. Everything feels old and really worn. The ceiling paint is peeling, the appliances are rusted, the slider doors are a real struggle to open and close and most of the furniture is in tough shape. There are also two other smaller homes on the property. I didn't realize they would be rented to other people at the same time or I probably wouldn't have picked this spot. The neighborhood is very quiet and has other nice homes. It is a bit of a drive to get anyplace though. Nothing is very close. The communication with the property manager was excellent. Very fast and questions answered appropriately. The house keeper Clarice was very nice. She made us a local meal for dinner one night and it was excellent. Overall, this property has a lot of potential, but needs a renovation. That said, $400/night is a fair rate for the size of the home and the beautiful beach.

Wonderful vacation at Senza Nome

We stayed in the main house, which is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. There is nothing the kitchen doesn't have! The house, patio, and the deck right on the beach have fabulous views, and the beach is spectacular. Owner and property manager couldn't have been easier to work with,. We've booked for next year already. Thank you!

We'd rather keep it a secret, but...

...this is an extraordinary place to stay! A few years ago we stayed at the Senza Nome cabin next door, and loved it. This time we were coming with friends, so booked this larger house, and loved it again! The beach is right out front, and drop-dead gorgeous. You can go to sleep with the sound of the waves. The house is well equipped and feels like a real home. Clarice (the housekeeper) is attentive and communicative. We ordered dinner from her for the night we arrived, and the leftovers were plentiful--it all lasted us three days. All in all, an exceptional vacation rental. We'll be back!

Our family has been coming to Eleuthera for the past 25 years. My name is Lisa, and in 2014, my parents decided to purchase this house in order to keep visiting the Bahamas regularly and to bring our families together. I currently live in the city of Kitchener, Ontario Canada with my husband and 2 young children. I have loved this island my entire life and visited regularly as my uncle also owns a property on Double Bay. I was ecstatic when we decided to purchase this property and took on the role of managing the VRBO rentals. My family and I visit twice yearly and we love the beach, the quiet and the island charm. My parents also visit the island for 3-4 months of the year, when they are not travelling all over the world for their work. I also have a brother who is married and together they have 2 young children. Our family welcomes you to the Bahamas! We hope that you love it as much as we do.

We selected this home as we loved the property itself with its wide beach frontage, open spaces, crooked palm trees and array of plants. The property also had 3 separate living spaces making it ideal for visitors and guests. We loved the main house as it sprawls along the ocean, giving incredible views in each room. With the additional cottage and studio, it has been an incredible space to host larger groups without compromising your privacy.

The property is situated on Double Bay beach, which in my opinion is the nicest beach on Eleuthera. Since the property is located mid-island, it is an ideal spot to explore both the north and southern parts of the island. Additionally, the road to the property is in relatively good condition and easy to access (as some properties can be challenging to get in and out of).
