Cozy and Charming Beach Getaway on Lovely Lake Michigan

Our Duneland Rentals cottages are located right on the beach in the Indiana Dunes. This delightfully spacious Studio is nestled in the Indiana Dunes and just steps away from magnificent Lake Michigan. The only thing between you and the lake is a lovely sandy beach. There is sleeping for 3. Ample seating in the living area includes a loveseat and a comfortable daybed. The dining room table can be expanded to meet you dining needs or the leaves can be easily hidden away for a more intimate dining experience. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven and 12 cup coffee maker. There are bar stools at the kitchen counter for casual dining or socializing with the chef. All linens (bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes and dish towels) are provided. This is the lower level of a 2 story guest house with a private entrance and no shared spaces. We have 350' of private beach for the exclusive use of our guests. Should you want to venture beyond the beach numerous nearby attractions include hiking, biking, dining, shopping, museums, art galleries, an arboretum, golfing, waterpark, farmers markets, live theatre, movie theatres,skating, bowling and much more.

Beautiful Property

My wife and I rented this property for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. We were so happy with the choice. The property was perfectly located on the beach. It was clean, cozy and quiet. Our host, Susan, was awesome. She was very responsive and caring. We will definitely rent this property again in the future.

Perfect Get-away

This cozy house was perfect for our weekend at Indiana Dunes Park. Susan couldn't have been a better hostess. The place is a little lean on what is provided, had to do a grocery shop for coffee, shampoo and shower soap. But other than that, beautiful view, right on the beach, clean house, great shower. Everything we needed for cooking our meals. We'd love to come stay when it's warmer to enjoy the beach more.

Beach getaway

Studio right on the beach. Perfect for 2 people. You have to go up and down 50 steps or so to get to and from your car. Some are long deck like steps and there is a handrail for most of it. So it could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. We had a great time! We will be back. 😊

Beautiful location!

Excellent location, between both Indiana Dunes parks, & being directly on the beach. Clean & quiet, except for the sound of the lake waves:) Only drawback is the many steps from the parking to the front door, but that's how you get so close to Lake Michigan, so it's worth it!

Great location

We enjoyed being right on the beach with beautiful views and the sound of the waves lulling us to sleep each night. Hosts couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs.

Great Stay

We had a great time staying here for the weekend! Being right on the lake was really nice, even though we visited in the middle of winter. It was close to the Indiana Dunes National Park and State Park, which is where we spent most of our time. Grocery stores were only about ten minutes away. We would come back again!

Quiet get away

Susan was an attentive host and the little one bedroom right on the beach was perfect. Warm and inviting, good water pressure and the sound of the waves and seeing so many stars was just fabulous.

Awesome

This was our 2nd time staying here. There is nothing more to say than this is an awesome place to spend time with the one you love. Sitting out fron watching and listening to the waves as they come up to the beach is the most relaxing, also listing to the waves when going to sleep is very relaxing. We will defiantly be back again.

Cozy clean cabin right on the beach; Can hear the waves crashing all night long; So relaxing. We could hear people staying above us walking around but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Would stay here again.

Perfect beach Bungalow

Great property, equipped with all you need. Very clean and cozy. The location, right on beach is almost magical. Our host was warm and gracious. Would definitely recommend to a couple needing a quiet get away.

Life at the Beach

The rental was very clean and quiet. The beach is private allowing me to enjoy quiet walks. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this property for a single person or couple.

Worth the stay

Susan, the property manager was great to work with. It was great waking up and looking out of the window to see the waves of Lake Michigan. It was a quaint little place. My family really enjoyed the stay. A couple things to watch out for--you have to park off site and there are not lights on the street so have your phone handy to use as a flashlight. Also, there are A LOT of steps you have to walk to get to the house. The steps are very well lit though, it just makes moving in and out a bit burdensome, especially if it's raining. Another thing to watch out for is the last flight of steps, they are taller and more narrow than the others so you really have to watch your footing. Other than those drawbacks, it was a nice place to stay. If I had to do it over, I would stay at the same place.

Girl friend weekend

This little studio is a gem. Be warned, lots of stairs but worth it! Beautiful views of the lake and beach and a simple stroll to the Dunes state park. Plenty of towels and pan for cooking. A quiet little retreat.
