The front desk wasnt very helpful but we were provided via email all the info we needed for check-in. The place was dated, but the breathtaking view and good location made up for it.

Great location

Manaha Resort is a great location on Maui. Perfect for whole watching, water recreation, relaxing, and dining out. A shopping center is located within walking (across the main street). We love this place!

A real gem

Although the furnishings are older, they are in good condition and very comfortable. If we ever have the chance go back we hope to stay here again

Location and view

Amazing view. If you can’t see a whale jumping or spraying within 10 seconds you’re probably not looking. Loved the location. Right next to duke’s and the boardwalk along the properties of north kannapali beach.

Another Great Stay at the Mahana

Having stayed at this property three times previously, I can say this property is on par with others we have stayed in. It’s an older building (like many properties on Maui), but in generally good condition. The views are amazing; the location convenient. As others have stated, the carpet is perhaps an odd choice in a sandy environment. The bed is firm, but we both slept well & I have a bad back. We would happily stay here again if we return to Maui.

Perfect Vacation Condo!!

My BF and I stayed for a week in this beautiful Condo at the Mahana. The views are second to none. You honestly feel like you are on a ship, that's how close to the water you are. This condo is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a Keurig for easy coffee!! The location is perfect, right where you want to be. Close to everything, but still quiet. I hope to return someday, and would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a little time in paradise.

Best views on island

This condo unit was fabulous The 11th floor was seriously the best view ever. We would definitely stay here again. The pool / spa were so clean. Overall the condo was good. The lanai was definitely the best feature. Above and beyond views. Saw tons of whales (April 12-19) seals turtles and amazing amazing snorkeling (our first experience) right down the beach within walking distance. Saw sooo many beautiful fish while snorkeling. Loved the privacy of the two buildings. Unit was completely quiet all the time. No nosier neighbors at all. Very peaceful. We loved the beach in front of Mahana because it was basically just to sit on with no people doing any water activities due to the rocks /reef but it was just perfect for our taste due to the inactivity of people on the beach. If you want that then just walk slightly either way and you have the best of both worlds. Well done !! . We will definitely come back to this place. Jim & Ellie H

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mostly Sunny - The location was great for us and the view from the patio was the highlight. We appreciated the ease of check-in as our flight got in late after a 4hr delay in San Jose. A few clouds - Upon arrival we stopped at the nearby grocery and bought coffee, creamer, bread & butter and a number of other 'keep cold' groceries. However, to our surprise the refrigerator wouldn't stay cool. Our food spoiled and despite 2 calls (one which was answered possibly by a teenager; one no answer) and and email to report the issue... we got no replies and no resolution. Thus one of the main advantages of the VRBO (a working kitchen) was rendered basically useless.

Just Okay

The view is nice but the lanai rarely got any sun. We did enjoy watching the turtles. Not really a great beach for swimming. Know now to stay directly in Kaanapali in the future. This condo needs a remodel, it’s very dated. They should remove the carpet entirely & put terrazzo tiles throughout. The fake palm is very dusty, none of that should be in there. It would open up the room without the clutter. I could smell mildew emitting from the shag carpet in the bedroom while sleeping. It needs to go. The cleaners need to vacuum under the bed & furniture. The grout around the tiles in the shower could take some bleach as well as the grout on floors look dirty. The lounge on lanai hadn’t been used in quite awhile & was very dusty dirty shoved in the back corner which was hard to get to because the table is so large. Maybe if the cleaners noticed these things & stayed more than 40 minutes the place would be cleaner. I left as the 2 cleaners started & forgot some items in the pantry. I returned 40 minutes later & they were already gone. That was disappointing. Overall I would not stay here again. It was extremely like hurricane windy sunbathing by the pool lawn area & never let up the entire time we were there. I think it has to do with location & the funneling of wind going through Honokawaii.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: On check-in, staff was extremely rude. Upon going into the unit, the shag rugs were something from the 1970’s, there was an old printer in the corner, extra bed linens thrown into the bedroom closet and the unit needed new furnishings. However, the worst was yet to come. First off, the beach in front of the hotel is non-swimmable because of large underwater rocks. After finding a section of beach in front of another condo complex, we came back to the unit to take showers and were surprised to discover that there was no water to take showers. According to the property management company, the water company turned the water off due to water shortages. However, we checked with other area hotels and were told they had water. The water returned for a couple of hours each day but the water pressure in the shower was NON-EXISTENT. We complained to the management company but they didn’t care, even though someone texted and said we would get a partial refund since we had no water. The facilities are very dated...pool, inside lobby, etc. There is loud construction going on at the property from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with construction materials stacked everywhere. The best part of the unit is the view from the balcony. The turtles swimming in the water and the sunsets were the only plus for this dump that is very cluttered. Don’t waste your time unless you want to take a bath in the ocean.

Wonderful stay

Will definitely be back

We checked this place out since our go to condo was not available and I’m glad it wasn’t. This unit is perfect for the ones who really want to have a relaxing time. The view is amazing, the crashing waves sounds helped us sleep so well. Check in process was easy, a little bit of confusion but easily ironed out. Location is close enough but far enough from the busy hustle and bustle. This will be our go to condo now.

It has a nice sized balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and both a table and a lounge chair. We appreciated having sand chairs and other water gear available. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could need. We found the condo to be very quiet. Access from the parking lot to the condo was very convenient.

Beautiful Sunsets from Lovely Condo

The Mahana is a great place to stay and this condo is nicely furnished. The view is spectacular, breakfast on the balcony each morning and watch the sunset over Molokai each night.
