Luxury Villa with large pool close to Florence

Superb Villa with luxury finishing situated on the hills that surround the city of Florence, just a few kilometers from the city centre. The Villa can accommodate up to 10 people and offers to its guests 4 bedrooms furnished in Tuscan style and equipped with all modern amenities.

All rooms are air conditioned and have private bathrooms.

The property is divided into a main building with 3 bedrooms, large lounge with dining area and kitchen and 3 bathrooms and an annex with living room with double sofa bed, a bedroom with private bathroom and another kitchen;

On the ground floor there is also a dining room which overlooks the rear garden of the villa where the owners, who live with their very nice dog in a portion of the Villa, organize sometimes lunches and dinners.

The outdoor space of the Villa offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and ensures as well to enjoy the landscaped garden and the large swimming pool equipped with sun beds, deckchairs and umbrellas.

One of the owners of the Villa is a professional chef and she organizes tipical Tuscan dinners for their guests/welcome dinners. It is also possible to organize private wine tasting directly at the Villa with local renowned wine producers, a superb experience that mix the best Tuscany wines with delicious tastings prepared from the owner chef.

We had a wonderful stay. Fonsy and Enzo were excellent hosts and are very nice people. Fonsy cooked dinner for us every evening and breakfast every morning of our stay, and everything was so delicious!! The property and the views are beautiful. Communication was easy before and during our stay. We were there in October so the pool was closed as it was too cold. Location was perfect for day trips to Montepulciano, Siena, San Gimignano and Lucca. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return again.

The accommodation was perfect for our 3 generation family group. We loved the quiet location of this historic home. The views from the apartment are stunning. The flower filled gardens are beautiful and we all enjoyed the pool and shady seating areas around it.Fonzy and Enzo are excellent welcoming hosts and we would definitely recommend having some of Fonzyā€™s delicious dinners.The villa is accessed by a long and bumpy track but it is well worth taking it to stay in this beautiful holiday home.Thank you Fonzy and Enzo!

The property was absolutely incredible! The grounds are gorgeous, and the views from every room in the villa are just breathtaking. Itā€™s so peaceful and relaxing, you wonā€™t find anywhere else like it. When we walked through the gates, we were instantly transported to a place of calm and tranquility. Checking in with Fonzi and Enzo was a breeze - they were the most friendly and helpful people. Theyā€™re now like family to us! Fonzi was an absolute pro at communicating, and let me tell you, the Tuscan meals she cooked for our family were absolutely delicious - they were all buonissimo! The house was perfect, and the location couldnā€™t be better. Weā€™ll definitely be back in a heartbeat! We miss you, Fonzi and Enzo! Arrivederci.

Magical!!!!

Il Faeto is truly a magical villa!!! The views are absolutely breathtaking, the home and property immaculately maintained, and the rooms warm and comforting with plenty of space for our party of family and friends. However it is Fonsy and Enzo who really made our stay magical and welcomed us like family from the moment we arrived. Fonsyā€™s meals were spectacular and far superior to anywhere else we ate!!! Nous pensions avoir rĆ©servĆ© une maison individuelle en Toscane tel que le laisser comprendre la dĆ©signation sur Abritel. ArrivĆ©s sur place, quā€™elle nā€™a pas Ć©tĆ© notre surprise de dĆ©couvrir que lā€™Ć©tablissement est en fait un bed & breakfast, organisĆ© comme telā€¦ ƀ lā€™accueil sur place notre Ā«Ā hĆ“teĀ Ā» nous demande de payer 350 de frais de mĆ©nage 250 pour lā€™Ć©lectricitĆ© ! bien sĆ»r les taxes de sĆ©jour,. Alors quā€™Ć  aucun moment lā€™annonce ne orecise que ces frais sont Ć  payer sur place ! En prenant avis auprĆØs dā€™Abritel la plate-forme nous indique que cela anormal et quā€™il ne faut surtout rien payer.. PassĆ© ce premier couac, Fanzy la propriĆ©taire nous montre les espaces dā€™herbergement en multipliant des recommandations dĆ©placĆ©es vis Ć  vis de personnes dont lā€™Ć¢ge est compris entre 55 et 62 ans ! Nous avions lā€™impression dā€™ĆŖtres des enfants Ć©cervelĆ©s. Tout au long de notre sĆ©jour, nous avons Ć©tĆ© surveillĆ©s, rappelĆ©s Ć  lā€™ordre , nous ne pouvions pas laisser un serviette sur un transat sans que celle ci disparaisse par enchantement. La communication avec la propriĆ©taire a Ć©tĆ© houleuse car nos jetions lĆ  pour passer des vacances et elle Ć©tait lĆ  pour optimiser son business en louant de serviettes de piscine Ć  12 lā€™unitĆ©ā€¦Le lieu est balisĆ© avec des pancartes comme on pourrait le trouver dans un hĆ“tel : rĆ©ception, flĆØche vers lā€™a piscine, etc.Si vous voulez louer une maison individuelle, passez votre chemin. Si vous cherchez une chambre en B&B alors cela peut faire le job.

Beautiful, historic villa with a fantastic view of the valley below. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and entertaining as well. The icing on the cake was Fonsi's providing breakfast and cooking dinners as requested. Her chef skills were more than we could ask for.

Dream come true stay

This villa is spectacular. Panoramic views are breathtaking. The villa is beautiful and perfectly maintained. The pool was great. Best of all the hosts live there as well. They are wonderful people. So helpful and friendly. Fonsy is a Fantastic chef who prepared outstanding meals for our family. Our stay was perfect. I had dreamed of renting a villa for many years. This was even better than I could have dreamed. Definitely recommend Il Faeto to live your Tuscan dream. Our three generations of family all agree.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

This was our second stay at Il Faeto, a beautiful property located in the hills south of Florence overlooking a wonderful valley below. The temperature is cooler than Florence and the pool is very relaxing with many sun shelters around the pool deck. The property is superbly maintained and beautiful. Prior to arriving we had made several dinner reservations in Florence and a few of the villages but after having dinner prepared by the host (Fonzi) our first evening we scrapped all those plans and chose to eat at the house around 8pm each night. The food was beyond amazing. It was terrific to discuss with her each morning what she would prepare. Then we all ate the same outstanding meal and enjoyed nice wine. It was so much better than going to a restaurant. We stayed at the house a few days but when we travelled into Florence or out to the villages, it was great to know dinner would be ready at 8pm. We also enjoyed her breakfast a few mornings during our week long stay. Also, you want to ask her about basil.

A beautiful Tuscan stay!

Fonzi and Enzo are the most delightful hosts! We had a wonderful stay- it was out of a dream! We ate every breakfast and dinner every day while on property. The home was immaculate and plenty of space - we didnā€™t use all the space available. We will be back!

Paradise on the hill

The property is stunning and the warmth of Enzo and Fonzy was incredible. We had 11 family and friends stay on the property comfortably. The rooms are lovely and everyone was happy with their space. We arranged for a welcome dinner and breakfast that was delicious. The hospitality was special. After we were able to go the market and make food from our kitchen. This was a nice convenience. We were able to come and go easily from the property with our rental cars. Rental cars are a must as the drive into town is long. The local store is limited but the neighboring store was plentiful. The drive to other locations was easy: Florence, Luca, Pisa We would love to return in the summer and experience this wonderful location then!

Like no other

Our family of 8 feels so incredibly lucky to have found Il Faeto and the two amazing people who own the house, Fonsi and Enzo. We came here after a 5 day stay in Rome and it was like entering a private oasis in another world. The property is located high up a hill in the country side, about 45 minutes outside of Florence. And the drive to the property is breathtaking. When we arrived, we were greeted by Fonsi and Enzo, who live on the property. Meeting them was like meeting family. Their warmth and kindness could be felt the moment we stepped out of the car. Based on the reviews, we arranged with Tommaso, their excellent property manager, to have dinner cooked the first night at the house. I was able to coordinate dietary restrictions/needs for myself and others in the group which Fonsi payed close attention to. When we arrived to the dining room, the table was set as if we walked into a private restaurant. After the first course of the 4 course mealā€¦spaghetti with Fonsiā€™s homemade tomato sauce, we made the decision to eat there every night and breakfast every morning. Best decision of the trip. Better than any restaurant food we had and Fonsi will coordinate every course of the menu to your liking. You will leave dreaming of her food. It is THAT good. Fonsi and Enzo took care of us like family and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I wish I could write more. We will cherish the time we had with them at Il Faeto. It was truly spectacular and perfect.

Tuscany Villa with a Beautiful View!

We were party of 8 friends taking a trip to Italy and this villa met all our requirements when making the decision on choosing a villa. Where do I begin....1st of all the views from the villa are breath taking and that's exactly what we were looking for. It overlook the valley exactly like the pictures posted.It was incredible to wake up in the mornings and to look out your window. The villa was clean and very comfortable for our party. We loved the beds! My husband has a bad back and thought the bed was perfect! The next best thing was Fonzi and Enzo. They were such gracious hosts! So nice, helpful and fun to talk to and hear about their lives in Italy. But the best part is Fonzi's cooking! She is an amazing chef who cooked us several dinners and made us breakfast. The dinners were better than any restaurant we ate at in Florence. The location is perfect. The drive to Florence was only 40 minutes and we also visited Siena and Volterra. I would highly recommend the villa it doesn't get any better than this! I would like to say thank you to Fonzi and Enzo for making our vacation spectacular!

Amazing Villa and experience

Wonderful place to stay while exploring the Tuscany region. Villa is quietly tucked away about 25 min to Florence. 4 charming bedrooms with private bathrooms in 1400 year old Villa. Nicely updated but with old world charm. Owners live on property which is such a gift. Owner was former Chef in Florence and prepares amazing dinners and breakfasts upon request! Best meals we had on our trip, and engaging with owners was a gift. Their history of the Villa, their charm, humor and care of our friends and family was heartwarming. Explored Tuscan region during the day and would relax at Villa every evening. Best travel experience in all our years of traveling. Thank you Il Faeto and our hosts Fonzi and Enzo!

Very nice host, but not a Villa - it is a Bed and Breakfast.

Overall the host were very nice and helpful. View from property was great. The description of the property leads you to think this is a private Villa, however, it is a bed and breakfast with host living onsite in property. 1) Beds were very uncomfortable. 2) Extra fees for cleaning and electric (Air Conditioning) 3) Rules for Pool make it unusable. Extremely complicated rules and not worth the effort. If you want a regular bed and breakfast experience, this is an ok place. The beds need to be replaced with something that is not as hard as a rock. If host are charging extra for AC (electric), then you should let the guest manage the controls instead of having them tell us to turn down or turn off. Last night of stay, the AC did not work.

Remarkable Tuscany country house

This 5 Star Bed and Breakfast exceeded our expectations! Staying at Fonzy and Enzoā€™s Tuscany Farm House created not only a vacation of a lifetime, but it allowed us to immerse ourselves into Italian customs and traditions. Not only is the place exactly as shown in the pictures, but it is immaculate! In addition, Fonsy is a world class chef who surprised us with gourmet meals every night! We read many reviews prior to booking, but we never imagined her talent in the kitchen and the hospitality of her and her husband Enzo would exceed anything we imagined! Truly a paradise! If you are visiting the Tuscany area check out Fonzy and Enzo's place!

Il Faeto - Paradise in the hills of Tuscany

We were in Italy celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren. The stay at Il Faeto was perfect. Fonsy and Enzo took wonderful care of us. Fonsy made fabulous meals (breakfast and dinner) - the best food we have ever eaten in Italy! We also took a cooking class with Fonsy. The views are spectacular and the grounds of the house including the pool and gardens are magnificent. Fonsy and Enzo live in one of the three apartments in the villa - the other two apartments were perfect for our large family. There are plenty of areas to gather outside during the day and in the evening. The road to the house is a little daunting at first - but there is hardly any traffic so there was never a problem and we quickly got use to it. Be sure to follow the signs to "Il Faeto"! All of us we so sad to leave this beautiful place and hope to return!

Like the title says - this place was absolute heaven. Due, in no small part to the lovely hosts - Fonzy & Enzo! Location - tucked away in the Chianti countryside. An easy drive from Florence (~35min). Easy access to several wineries, Pisa, Luca, Siena, etc. Accommodation - just as advertised. Clean, comfortable, cozy. You really feel like youā€™re at home. Food - this was by far above expectations! Fonzy and Enzo used to own a cafe in Florence and Fonzyā€™s culinary talents are put to use here. She was great about accommodating our dietary restrictions, creating lovely means and asking us what we like/donā€™t like to figure out meal planning. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast there every single day! Restaurant quality food in the comfort of a home - what more can you ask for! Iā€™m still thinking about Fonzyā€™s lasagna. Hosts - Fonzy and Enzo are simply lovely people. Nurturing, caring, great stories, etc. and their cat was just adorable! You definitely wonā€™t regret staying here and enjoying the food and hospitality. Absolutely worth it!

Tuscany Heaven

Like the title says - this place was absolute heaven. Due, in no small part to the lovely hosts - Fonzy & Enzo! Location - tucked away in the Chianti countryside. Most amazing stay

We rented this beautiful villa for 4 days. Traveling as a family, there were 6 adults and 3 children. The grounds and house are impeccable, the views are stunning and the property was more than adequate to comfortably fit all of us. But the absolute best part of the visit was getting to meet Fonzi and Enzo. They are what every host should aspire to be. Welcoming, attentive, and immediately making us feel comfortable. And letā€™s not mention the amazing food. We had arranged for a welcome dinner and breakfast the next day to be cooked by Fonzi but quickly decided to have ALL breakfasts and dinners in the villa. The food is absolutely amazing. And the cooking lesson we did with Fonzi was enjoyed by everyone. The memories we have from this stay will last a lifetime. My only regret is that we did not do our entire Italian vacation at this villa.

A trip of a lifetime!

Il Faeto is a one of a kind property, and is a must stay if you are visiting Tuscany. The hosts, Fonsi, Enzo, and the cat Gino are incredibly hospitable, and made our stay a memorable one. The beautiful property is well maintained, with scenic views. Fonsi prepared breakfast & dinner for us, and I'm confident enough to say it was our best food in Italy, and deservant of a michelin star. If you are heading to Florence, and want to enjoy the countryside with the best wine, food, and views, please consdering Il Faeto.

Family vacation

We stayed fir a week. The views from the house are spectacular and the house is lovely. The hosts, Fonsi and Enzo, treated us like family with great food, conversation, and help with anything we might need. The location is great 40-80 min from Florence, Siena and lucca. We couldnā€™t ask for a better vacation! Thank you!!

Prachtig vakantieverblijf naast Florence!

Villa life at its best

There are truly not enough words to describe how amazing and wonderful it was to spend 12 days at Il Faeto. The property is amazing with breath-taking views, a refreshing pool and living quarters that make you feel right at home. The location is perfect, about 12 miles from the city center of Florence which makes for an easy drive into town, and close to many other of the must-see Tuscan towns and wineries. But, by far, what made this stay so incredible is the care and feeding (literally!) by Fonzi and Enzo. It only took our first night's welcome dinner to decide the best ever decision was going to be to eat at the villa every night, and we were treated to the most amazing, authentically Tuscan, culinary experiences. We stayed at the villa with 8 people, two families of four, and couldn't have wished for anything more or better. Top notch, all the way around.
