In general, the location is perfect as it is only a short walk also to the center of Lahaina. We definitely want to visit again!

The room appears as though it has only been superficially cleaned for a very long time (items from previous guests, coffee grounds still in coffee maker, hair everywhere, vents were furry with dust - I wiped some of them down). We tried contacting the unit's property manager, but they never responded. Had it not been for the lack of cleanliness, the room is alright. It is in a nice hotel with friendly front desk staff, conveniently located to everything Lahaina has to offer, and the beach in front of the hotel is nice. We would stay at the same hotel again, but not in the same room.

Great unit, will definitely come back!!

Lahaina Shores was a wonderful place to stay and we look forward to coming back! The property as a whole was beautiful and clean. The pool was certainly used often throughout our stay (we LOVED IT!), the concierge was very helpful, the beach was gorgeous and RIGHT OFF the property, and everything is so conveniently located!! The unit was very well kept and updated. A member of our party has stayed in a variety of units at Lahaina Shores and kept saying how nice this unit was compared to others. The unit was stocked with everything we would need to do dishes, take care of trash, etc. While there is only a bed for two in the unit one member of our group felt uncomfortable sharing a bed so she slept on the couch. She said the couch was comfortable, so if someone in your group does not want to share a bed donā€™t fret! All in all this unit was a great fit for us and made our vacation that much more fun! We would definitely recommend this unit, and the entire Lahaina Shores property, to others!

The small things

Overall the condo was well kept. It is older and you can tell but it is kept in decent shape. The location for walking along Front St is optimal. Walking out of the building and having the beach steps away is amazing. The price is amazing. The pool was over chlorinated which was not great but we were in the ocean and at the beach most of the time. No bar or restaurant at the condo was strange but all within walking distance. Things I would recommend for future tenants or for the owners: -4 forks is just not enough, and all the other cooking utensils are in sad shape. - It would be nice to have a vacuum in the room (we were there for 10 days) -Toilet paper and paper towels. Again staying 10 days a few more rolls would have been nice. -Future tenants, bring or be prepared to buy decent beach chairs, umbrella and ice chest. MOST IMPORTANT- When you close the refrigerator, no matter how softly, the freezer door pops open; so be aware of this.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked this room for getaway. The place was located within a Hyatt Vacation Ownership Property. As for the property, it wasnā€™t on the high end and felt more like a three star property. The property itself need updating. Nothing terrible, just dated. Two quick. Itā€™s about the propriety, there is no restaurant on-site and the underground parking is very tight with a small daily fee not included. As for the room itself, as you approach the door, it looked wormed and needs a paint job. As you walk in, at first glance the room looks nice. Nothing modern but nice. At a closer look, the carpet is worn and stained, the TV is very small, and a small countertop microwave was on the counter despite the over the range one. We quickly found out the range microwave did not work. This included the exhaust fan too. Next, the bed needs replacing. The mattress seems old, very soft and saggy. The bedding was versioned and very worn as well. Clean but worn and not the right size. Speaking of size, the bed is more like a full rather than queen. The bathroom itself seemed updated. Only comment was the towels. Like the bedding, the towels were in bad shape, clean but very old and worn. We also didnā€™t get the right number of towels as indicated in the reservation. We got 4 not 6. As for the kitchen, we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher. There were no cleaning supplies to wipe down counters or cooktop and the limited dish soap. The cooking supplies were also in very bad shape. The pots and pans looked like they came from a yard sale. Utensils were a small mix and match. On a positive note, the location is great and just a short walk into town. The room is located on the 5th floor giving you an elevated view of the mountain side. We made the most our our time. We paid $2k for 5 night or about $400 a night. At that price itā€™s expected to have a more updated room. I really hope the owners take this review as honest feedback and tour

Fantastic location, smaller property that never seemed too busy or loud. Very clean but could use a little love as itā€™s a bit dated. Loved the full kitchen and proximity to Bettyā€™s Cafe and Spankyā€™s bar. Would stay again.

Love this location!

We had stayed at this resort the year before and loved it, but the same room we had wasnā€™t available so we chose this one. Everything about the property is wonderful - amazing beach front, great pool, perfect location. This room was good - I donā€™t have many complaints other than I wish it wasnā€™t set up so much like a ā€œhotelā€ and more of like other Vrbo rooms Iā€™ve had where there are supplies there. There were absolutely no beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkel gear, etc). This was the first Vrbo property Iā€™ve stayed at that did not have these things. Other than that, the place was good!

Good Location

Overall, not bad. Definitely not the cleanest place but we had clorox wipes to clean up. I sent and email and left a voicemail and had to call again for information. I checked out on Monday, today is Thursday and I still don't have answers.

Great location close to everything.

The building is a little tired which could explain why the water was shut off for a bit, the power went out for a bit, and the internet and TV signal were spotty, but some of that could be due to mother nature. Wasnā€™t expecting new but could have been cleaner.

Good once cleaned but dirty when we arrived

Our room was still dirty from the previous vacationers when we arrived after checking in so had to wait for them to clean the room before settling in. Also, they forgot the beach towels that we rented and that took about two days for them to get to us. Once we had everything though, it was a great place to stay. And our friends that stayed in the same place had no problems.

However probably would not book again because of double bed (should be queen size). The room was not finished with cleaning. No sheets or towels and bathroom was not cleaned. After a couple of phone calls, I got hold of the cleaning company they said they were on the way. 2 hours later, they showed up at the condo bldg. They had at least 5 units to finish. I understand being busy, but if they had been upfront with us, we would have gone to dinner or the beach and gotten groceries, and not lost 3 hours of our time in Maui. The battery on the door died and if my husband had not been inside, we would have been locked out for the night, as maintenance was not available until morning. The air conditioner quite the last night.
