It is directly on the bike/walking path into town and a 5 minute walk to park/playgrounds. Year-round heated pool and jacuzzi.

This splendid property is appointed to provide all the comforts of home while ensuring a world class skiing and mountain resort experience. It contains a fully furnished kitchen, flat screen TV's in the living room, upstairs study area and master bedroom, and a gas fireplace with blower to quickly warm up the home on those cold winter nights. Also included is high speed WiFi, DVD player, washer/dryer, hair dryers in each bathroom and attached 1 car garage with two additional free parking spaces.

The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking beautiful Gore Creek, which is just steps from the home's outside deck.

Guests will love the luxurious common area with its heated pool open year round, large firepit, and swim-through feature from the pool to the indoor jacuzzi and shower/dressing rooms.

Warmer weather activities include an on-site tennis/pickleball court and basketball hoop, fantastic fly fishing right in the backyard in Gore Creek, great mountain hiking and biking trails also suitable for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, and a number of beautiful mountain golf courses nearby.

Loved staying here! This place had everything we needed. Incredibly well stocked kitchen. Safeway is just a couple minutes away, so it was easy to get all the provisions we needed to avoid the crowded restaurants durning peak season and cook amazing meals in house. Super cozy townhouse, there were 8 of us in our group and it never felt crowded. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. Parking was no problem. Loved the nightly visits to the hot tub! Access to Vail Village via shuttle was very simple. It’s a little less convenient than staying in the village, but I enjoyed the peace and quiet of being a little ways away. I would absolutely stay here again

Perfect Stay

Spacious townhouse with everything we needed for our trip. Fully stocked kitchen, 3 full baths, and comfy sitting area. The bus stop was very close by too. We had a great time.

Incredibly welcoming. Convenient to everything — short and easy bus ride to the slope, grocery close by, easy access to 70. Comfort is everywhere. Beautiful setting. Lots of privacy. So grateful we found this lovely home.

Very Nice Property

Stayed here Christmas week with another family. Unit is plenty big and a very short walk to the Village transportation stop. Unit owner was also very responsive to our questions.

Very comfortable home; well maintained; lots of amenities. Good wifi and TV service. Fully stocked kitchen and home generally. Good communication from the owner and a real value for Vail.

Vail Ski Trip

We had an excellent time at this place! It is spacious, quiet, has every amenity we could have asked for, and is a quick (three minutes by car) trip to the Cascade lift (another four minutes and you're at Lionshead). We have been skiing at Vail for years and this is, hands-down, the best place we've stayed. Owners and property manager are very responsive, as well. Highly, highly recommend!

We just spent 4 nights here with our son and a couple of his friends. Thank you for such a homey and accommodating experience! The place is welcoming, clean and well equipped. Lovely locale and home

This home is full of nice touches, spices, useful food items, appliances, and a wonderfully outfitted kitchen. The master bedroom looks out over the babbling brook -- and the balcony is nice for a quick or leisurely chat and drink. The living room with vaulted ceilings and pretty fireplace that blows warm heat into the room is another special touch. The Bus to Vail is super convenient... and access to the garage is great. Thanks for sharing your home.

Great Property, Convenient, Clean and spacious

Our family of four vacationed here for winter break 2016. Great space, and enough room for more people if one wanted. The condo was in great shape, well appointed, comfortable and clean. Van (owner) was very flexible in arrangements and great to work with. Location is close to Vail and convenient to the highway. We drove to the area each day, though the shuttle bus is very convenient. Close to grocery and liquor store. Highly recommended .. . We have already booked our first repeat HomeAway location to ski here in Feb 2017.

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second stay this year but we’ve been coming here for years. We love Van’s house. It’s so comfortable and cozy, decorated beautifully, with everything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked, bathrooms have lots of extras (daughter needed bandaids for a snowboard boot blister and there was a whole package), beds are very comfortable, and love the entryway for getting dressed and undressed from a full day on the slopes. Easy access to the bus stop and a quick 2 minute ride to/from Cascade Village. We didn’t have a car last trip due to some last minute flight delays/changes and we didn’t miss it. Easy to walk or bike to the grocery store.

Over exceeded all expectations

My family and I stayed for about 5 days at this property, and it was the most beautiful time. We landed early and messaged the host about an early check in time and they were so nice about letting get there early. The house was clean extremely comfy. When we got there, the curtain was tiny bit broken and I sent a picture to the host and they sent a property manager within minutes to fix it. The host responded so quickly. The master bedroom has a beautiful overlook of the creek in the back. The beds were all so comfortable and the bathrooms were extremely clean. My dad and sister and brother in law brought their trout fishing rods and we’re able to fly fish in the creek as well. We will be booking here again! Such a great home for vacation.

Christmas 2024 family vacation

My husband and I, plus our 5 kids (ages 15, 14, 13, 10, and 8) spent our annual Christmas vacation at this property from December 22-27. Our kids absolutely LOVED the property and it was perfect for the 7 of us with our two big boys sleeping on the bunk bed, the two little boys sleeping on the pull-out couch, our daughter sleeping in the bedroom with the queen bed, and my husband and I in the master bedroom. Having three bathrooms was great with how many people we had, the house is fully stocked with almost anything you need other than food and toothbrushes, there is a washer and dryer so we were able to leave with almost all of our clothes washed, and the location is perfect! The view from the back of the house is gorgeous with a creek running right by and lots of space and snow for our kids and us to play and have a snowball fight! Van was extremely easy to get ahold of if needed and he was so kind! Thank you again for sharing your home with us and we will DEFINITELY recommend your property to others!

Great first time ski trip to Vail:

We've been going to either Breck, Copper and Winter Park for many years. After taking a day trip to Vail last year, we thought we'd ski the week there this year. Our stay at Van and Sandy's reminded me of how most VRBO rentals used to be. We felt like invited guests to their home versus just renting a condo from some rental corporation. Their condo is just a very short drive to Lion's Head Village where you can take the Eagle Bahn Gondola or Born Free Lift to start your ski day at Vail. It's also less than 20 minutes to Beaver Creek where we skied one day. The condo exceeded our expectations. The kitchen is well stocked. Thumbs up from everyone on how the beds slept. Three full baths. The view out the back is wonderful with Gore Creek babbling just 50 yards behind you. Sitting down in the great room watching TV with the family in front of the fireplace was the perfect way to end each day of skiing. We would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay! This place is perfect for a ski trip to Vail. Cascade lift is a mile away and Lionshead is only five minutes. Quiet—you would not know anyone else is even in the complex. All the amenities you’ll need to take care of a family. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for a large family.

Best condo for skiers who cook!

I’ve rented many properties over the years, and this one wins hands down for the best-equipped kitchen. The knives were SHARP (so rare), the plates were plentiful, and the spices were abundant. I really appreciated this kitchen which also had the most amazing view of Gore Creek. Be super careful of the stovetop knobs - they are easy to accidentally hit and turn on. The beds were very comfortable after a long day of skiing. The hot tub in the clubhouse was SO nice as well, and very clean. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Ski Vacation

Unit is very nicely appointed. Tasteful & comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. I am always happy to see a Weber grill. This unit has one. Beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the community hot tub. It is kept at 104 degrees or more! It was a clean environment. We had no reason to contact the Property Manager.

Great location and host

This VRBO was a great price and in a great location. Very close to rental shops, grocery stores, and a few restaurants, while being a short shuttle ride to the various bases at Vail. The host was very responsive and accommodating as well which made it a great overall experience.

My wife Sandy and I purchased this property when we were living overseas in Southeast Asia, which we were fortunate enough to do for 12 years. She would come back to the US for home leave in the summers, and needed a place for her and our two kids to relax and call home rather than bouncing from place to place around the country.

Vail and Casa del Sol were perfect for that. This place has everything we could ask for in terms of summer activities, the autumn colors are magnificent with weekend markets and Oktoberfest activities, and of course the winter experience speaks for itself.

We are now back in the States living in Houston, and our kids are grown (40 and 37), but we all love coming back to our wonderful second home in the mountains at Casa Del Sol.
