Water's Edge Retreat On Gore Creek.

Our lovely townhome is conveniently located in West Vail on the bus line just minutes from Vail Mountain. Water's Edge is located on Gore Creek with a mountain view behind it for a totally private mountain experience. The Master bedroom is on the third level and has a king bed and bathroom en suite. There is a bedroom with a king bed and a third one with two sets of bunk beds (perfect for kids) on the second level as well as a full bathroom. The main floor includes a large entry area, laundry, kitchen, dining room, living room and outdoor deck as well as an attached one car garage. The deck includes a Wolf grill that is available year round for your enjoyment. Family owned for over 20 years, Water's Edge is now available for rental! You will arrive to a fully stocked home. Help yourself to a cup of tea or cocoa or an Advil for those sore muscles after a long day skiing. Use what you need and leave something for the next guest. Enjoy a puzzle or a game or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Casa del Sol has one of the most beautiful pools in the Vail Valley and it is heated year round for your enjoyment. The hot tub is also there for warming up after a chilly day on the mountain. While a car can be convenient, it is not necessary. The bus picks up at the end of the complex parking lot for a short ride to world class skiing. You can also walk to the full service grocery store and various restaurants.

Fantastic Property

This VRBO property was a fantastic find! The space was roomy and beautiful, with a perfect location that made our stay even better. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch, and the owner was incredibly caring and professional. We’d absolutely rent this place again!

Amazing condo in Vail!

Susan‘s condo is an amazing location and it’s a great property for groups. There was plenty of room for all of our family and friends, and it was well laid out. This has been one of my favorite places to stay in Vail! We hope to be back.

A Wonderful Ski Chalet Experience!

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic ski chalet, and we can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm and comfort of this home away from home. The location of the chalet just next to a Vail bus stop is very convenient to get to the slopes without needing to use the car. The interior of the chalet was tastefully decorated and had a cozy yet modern feel. The living area was spacious and provided ample seating for everyone in our group. We especially loved the fireplace, which added a touch of warmth and ambiance during the evenings. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed, ensuring a good night's sleep after an exhilarating day on the slopes. One of the highlights of our stay was the well-equipped kitchen. It had everything we needed to prepare our own meals, which was not only convenient but also allowed us to save some money. The dining area was perfect for enjoying meals together and sharing stories from our skiing adventures. Throughout our stay, the owner was incredibly attentive and responsive to our needs. Any questions or concerns we had were promptly addressed, making us feel well taken care of. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable ski vacation. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Cozy Townhome with easy access to the slopes and essentials

We stayed here over spring break with several teenage boys. We enjoyed the easy access to the slopes in the morning and the hot tub/pool in the afternoon evenings. There was easy access to grocery shopping and quick bites as well as easy access to the shuttle lines to get around. We caught the tail end of a Colorado storm on the way out and the host was super thoughtful and gracious to make sure we made it out of the mountains safely. I would definite consider coming back again if we find our way back to Vail!

Perfect ski retreat

The location was perfect for skiing at Vail and at Beaver Creek. Free shuttles to both ski resorts right outside the door. Inside we had access to everything we needed! Beautiful location nestled in the mountains with a gurgling creek in the back yard and lots of snow! Hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. We LOVED the fireplace too! Perfect place for a family vacation. Just the right amount of space for everyone in our family! Thank you!

Awesome Vacation

We had absolutely perfect week at this property. Condo is well positioned and just steps away from the ski bus. The owner is wonderful and took time to provide all the necessary information well in advance of our stay. She greeted us with a gift basket and a condo stocked with all the necessary essentials. We will be back soon.

West Vail Delight

This property was well cared for and provided great functionality for our family, with easy access to community spa & indoor /outdoor pool. Bus to town 100 yards away. Owner was highly responsive and made check in and check out a breeze. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot for a fun weekend at Vail.

Very nice place perfect for a few friends to enjoy a weekend of snowboarding. Super convenient for enjoying Vail, just a short shuttle ride to get on the lifts. Thanks for sharing this great home.

Wonderful in every way!

I resist writing reviews because my expectations always seem too high and are rarely met - however in this case, I can honestly say this experience far exceeded my expectations in every way! The home is located ideally in West Vail - easy access to both Vail and Beaver. The inside the home is so inviting with a wonderful fireplace and absolutely gorgeous views of Gore Creek right out your living room sliders. The 3 level layout is ideal for families, the home is immaculate and incredibly well appointed with the highest quality furnishings, kitchen items and accessories throughout - including real down comforters and thick, plush bath towels :) The owners have stocked this home with everything you need, right down to supplying the Advil and hand warmers that you never have enough of! The added benefit of the shared hot tub and heated pool was a real treat! I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was... in every way.

Vail home near Lionshead - wonderful time

Great place to rent. Host was very nice and easily reachable by email/vrbo (quick replies). Home was beautiful, clean. Directions and notes (word document) was easy to follow, and lots of great information was given. Would come back to this place if we ever come back to Vail.

Great place to stay in Vail

We had a great stay at this property. It was perfect for our group of 4 ladies. The place was very clean and comfortable. And it's located right next to a lovely creek which you look out onto. It's right next to the bus stop so easy to get to the village or to the ski lifts. Also we could get to Safeway to do shopping in a 5 minute drive. The heating is good with many different thermostats throughout the unit and there's a nice gas fireplace in the large lounge area. There's also a wonderful hot tub that's great after a day of skiing a short walk in the complex. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Condo; Great Location

The condo is immauclately clean and nicely decorated. They had all of the amenities for guests; video games, board games, fire place, videos and more. Communication with the owner was very easy and responsive. The property is close to ski lifts, grocery stores, and restaurants which are all on the bus route. Be sure you check the bus times on Google so that you don't have to wait too long at the bus stop which is very near the unit. The outdoor heated pool and indoor hottub was a great hit for the kids and adults.. We look forward to staying in this unit again.

Best property we’ve seen!

Our family of 6 has stayed at many rentals all over the country, and this one blew us away! Everything you could possibly need, super comfortable beds, and great location. Susan was great at communicating instructions. We would 100% stay here again.

Excellent property, excellent host!

My family and I visited Water’s Edge the week after Christmas and had the best stay! The host, Susan, was very attentive and friendly, giving excellent tips and pointers. When we arrived, the property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, well-stocked, and so spacious. The garage was great, as it kept our vehicle cleared off and we didn’t have to scrape ice or snow from it each day (Susan also provided windshield wiper fluid, which was so thoughtful because you really need it if you’re traveling on the interstate!)! The house has new carpet and cozy furnishings, and pretty much everything you need for a relaxing stay. Having a few pantry items was so helpful, so be sure to check in and look around before going to the store! We were pleasantly surprised by everything Susan had available to us. The location is good, and for ski guests, we highly recommend the shuttle to the Cascade lift. The Cascade lift is for “downloading” on the way off the mountain, as trails going back down were not open when we were there. After a long day of skiing, the pool and hot tub were a welcome treat! My kids really enjoyed swimming outside in the snow! Overall, we loved our stay at Water’s Edge and would love to return. Thank you so much, Susan!!

Beautiful Vacation Home

Stunning location and warm loving home

We loved loved the property and care that was put into stocking from toilet paper, coffee, warm blankets. The bedroom and pantry fully stocked. Across from grocery store we loved our time.

So great

Such a great spot for a family ski weekend. Unit has everything thing we needed for family dinners, playing games, watching movies and relaxing after a day on the slopes. Bus to vail is right outside the complex. Definitely recommend!

Very Convenient

Plenty of room for 3 couples. The owner responds quickly and is very helpful, Nicely decorated. Terrific fireplace. The condo had a well stocked kitchen with appliances, cookware, spices, dish soap, paper towels and essentials. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Easy parking.

Roomy, clean, perfect location, and a great host

We stayed at Water's Edge during our annual ski trip in late January. Check in process was a breeze. We were shocked at how much room the condo had. There was even a neat little entertainment area upstairs between the bedrooms. Everything we needed on the trip was available in the condo. The host was extremely responsive and very thoughtful. The internet was a bit spotty, but a ski trip isn't the time to be hanging out on our phones anyways. As far as location, Water's Edge couldn't be beat. It was a 2 minute walk to the bus stop which takes you right into Vail village with multiple lift stops on the way. The nearest grocery store was a 5 minute drive away. Theres a creek running right through the backyard which was serene after a big snow. There was ample parking out front, a spot right in front of the garage, and plenty of storage in the garage for skis and equipment. We'll will ABSOLUTELY stay at Water's Edge next time we're in Vail if it is available.

Our family lives in Denver and Water's Edge has been our Vail "Home Away from Home" since 2000. We love Casa del Sol and its unique location and feel blessed that we own a tiny piece of paradise which has remained so special and unspoiled for all of these years. The kids are grown and have busy lives so we began renting on VRBO in 2017 to share our home with others. Most of our guests have stayed before with some returning every year!

Casa del Sol is special as it is the only place that we have found that overlooks Gore Creek but without any houses or highways on the other side. Water's Edge is closest to the Creek so you really do enjoy a special Retreat at Gore Creek. We use the grill on the deck year round and are always amused by the deer, racoons and other critters that stop by to see what we are cooking.

We have a started a small library so take one or leave one. The kitchen is also complete with spices, condiments, paper products and other items to use so you don't have to run to the store for all the basics when you arrive. Casa del Sol has one of the most beautiful pools in the Vail valley and we keep it heated year round. The hot tub is also there for warming up after a chilly day on the mountain. While a car can be convenient, it is not necessary. The bus picks up at the end of the complex parking lot for a short ride to world class skiing.
