Great location, terrific stay

Our family group of 11 had a terrific stay! Loved the beach right across the street, and proximity to so many great spots all around the Leelenau. Look forward to coming back!

perfect place for group or family

My friends and I really enjoyed this place. There is plenty of sleeping space and private rooms/areas for couples or families with kids if needed. Great space to hang out in doors or out. Backyard has nice patio and the beach area across the street is perfect for hanging out. Definitely recommend!

Suttons Bay Getaway

After spending many years vacationing in the Sutton's Bay/Leelanau area and taking several summers off due to kids schedules - we were so glad to be back and this was the perfect house in a perfect location. There were 4 adults and 6 teens and we had plenty of space. The beach was perfect and location was great! We will be back.

Awesome.

Awesome location. Lots of room at the house! We had everything we needed and Dr. Was very easy to get ahold of if we had questions . We do wish there was a outside fire pit in the back yard. There was one at the beach but it was to cold to sit at the beach when we went. (Beach is right across the street and he has a very cool set up down there.) Thank you for letting us stay !

Tranquility accomplished!!

I was traveling with a painting group of six women and Thomas' home provided a private space for each of them with plenty of gathering spaces to enjoy each other's company. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking, even when you have more than one cook!! Sutton's Bay shopping and dining is within comfortable walking distance and the beach front is secluded and charming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an easy rental experience. Thomas is by far the kindest and most hospitable host I've ever encountered! He greeted us as if he were greeting friends, warm smile, cool wine and cheese and crackers!! I forgot my therapeutic pillow and he was even quick to respond, after we left, by mailing it to me! Everyone that uses VRBO should be as lucky as we were to find this gem!!

Perfect for families!

Our family had a fantastic time at this home (4 couples and 2 very active toddlers). Tom does a great job of providing a very welcoming environment. There was a very nice welcome gift of wine, cheese, crackers and coffee- very nice after a long drive. He was flexible with our check-in and check-out. We enjoyed having an indoor space for peace and quiet and another indoor space for watching movies and playing games. The home is nice and was clearly a family home. We didn't feel like we had to keep our kids from enjoying themselves- they could run and play without us worrying about them breaking something too expensive. In fact, Tom was very gracious while 2 toddlers ran around the house screaming while we checked in. All of the outdoor spaces had plenty of comfortable seating, there is a grill at the house and the beach. The outdoor spaces were perfect for gathering and enjoying the beauty of northern Michigan. There was an assortment of brochures to help guide our stay. We even had a local wine tour company pick us up directly from the house. Suttons Bay was only 5 minutes away and we enjoyed treats from the local bakery and candy shop. We are looking forward to our next trip and will definitely look to rent from Tom again.

Family Home

Host was wonderful and we had a great welcome. Great house for a large family gathering, we loved the beach, the fire pit and the grills. We felt like we were welcomed to a family members house full of anything we needed.

Absolutely fantastic!

Our stay was incredible. Tom was very hospitable; home was roomy, clean, and equipped with everything you could imagine; beds very comfortable; location idyllic and ideal, situated just off the main drag of Suttons Bay yet on a quiet, beautiful street right across from the waterfront. Beautiful Sutton’s Bay

Beautiful Suttons Bay

The beach was private feeling and beautiful with shade and sunny spots. The house was spacious and had a great floor plan, but bathrooms could use some updating. Overall we found the setting and house delightful.

Labor Day Weekend Family Gathering

This property was amazing. Everything was as described with plenty of space for our large extended family gathering to attend a Northern Michigan wedding. Tom was fantastic about meeting us to show us the property upon arrival. The beach is very nice and well equipped to enjoy the water. This property is Northern Michigan at its finest! We will definitely look to book here again in the future.

We had the best time

The home and location were perfect for a weekend getaway with some girlfriends. The homeowner was super accommodating and gave us many great recommendations for things to do in the area. We are definitely wanting to go back!

Great Home, Great Location

Had a great time at this property with my family. Large comfortable home with big yard, beautiful sandy beach and sand bottom swimming area. Great location in Suttons Bay and short drive to Leland, Northport and Traverse City. House is stocked with everything you would need. Tom was a fantastic host. Was there to show us around and had Wine, cheeses and snacks there on our arrival. We're still talking about the great time we had. Thanks Tom

I wish we had stayed longer

I came to Suttons Bay with a group of 9 other people for a weekend of wine tasting and was happy to validate all of the 5 star reviews I read about this house. Thomas was accommodating right away, moving his schedule so that we could check in early and gave us a brief but thorough tour of the property. The house was large enough that we could have comfortably fit more and the property itself was particularly beautiful with all of the snowfall we got that weekend. The proximity to downtown Suttons Bay, Hop Lot and every winery made the location perfect. We'll be planning a trip back when the weathers warm so that we can enjoy the beach right across the street even more. Thanks again, Tom! -The Nurse Crew

Great wedding weekend

Thomas has a beautiful home in Suttons bay MI. It was perfect for 4 couples who attended a wedding at a local winery! The home had everything we needed as was comfortable enough for all of his. Thomas was always in contact with me and answered all questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend this property!

Fantastic location for winery touring!

Great house. Great location..

9 girls spent this past weekend in this beautiful home..even though it rained most of the weekend it did not effect our trip. .I have done mamy rentals on VRBO but I have never experienced the hospitality that was extended to us by Thomas. He is one of of a kind ,and especially thanks to him for the treats that were spread out for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this house. It was everything we needed..Cheryl H.

Beautiful beach house and very hospitable host

My extended family and I stayed for a long weekend over Memorial Day. The host was most gracious providing us amazing wine, cheese, and appetizers. The house was beautiful -- very large, warm, and inviting. The beach access was as described just across a low traffic road with full amenities -- chairs, tables, and nice fire pit / stove. The location was perfect too -- just a short walk or drive to downtown Sutton's Bay. We highly recommend this property.

Great home for relaxing getaway

This was a great house with plenty of space for a larger group! Tom was extremely welcoming, and even offered to switch a bed to a different room before arrival to accommodate my mother. Luckily that wasn't necessary. The cheese and wine upon arrival was very nice, and Tom took the time to walk us through the entire property. Our 3 year old loved the private beach, and it was equally relaxing for the adults to sit and enjoy the view. The house is close enough to downtown Suttons Bay that we walked there almost every morning (about a mile away), and the drive into town took no time at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an up north getaway. Thanks Tom!
