This property has a large shady Palapa with grill and several outdoor dining areas.. Stunning 360 ocean views views from the rooftop patio. Fully fenced and gated private home. Amazing beaches with clear waters and sand. Excellent restaurants and local food. Fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating. Local shopping and many amenities available.

"Southern Paradise" was indeed Paradise!

This property is A...every inch...seriously! Incredible attention to detail-the housekeeper, Rosa checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything over our 8 nights there. Even gave unsolicited recommendations of places to visit. She was super kind and helpful. The property owner, Leslie was very responsive in every way. The bedrooms were nicely spaced & private, as well as the pool areas and amazing palapa. The roof top area was lovely for morning coffee and evening cocktails with amazing sea views, sunsets and sunrises. Short walk to Punta Sur, with walkable reataurants and small store in the area. Would love to return sometime. Thank you for sharing your property with our family!

Amazing Stay

We absolutely loved staying at this house! We’ll for sure be back. The location is great - very close to a convenient store, restaurant, and walking distance to the Joint. The two pools are awesome and we loved the large palapa. The house has everything you need. The bathrooms and kitchen are very nice and well stocked. Purified water is provided. Everything is super clean. There’s air conditioning in every room that works very well. Property owner and local Rosa are amazing and super responsive. We got locked out and Rosa came within 10 minutes to let us in. Our baby slept great in the house. Recommend sound machines due to the music from across the street (which is mild and ends at 8 pm). You’ll love your stay here!!

Wonderful Punta Sur Stay

Our family absolutely loved this property, it was perfectly clean and their house manager Rosa was lovely and so helpful. The owner of the property communicated clearly and responded quickly, they gave several recommendations and helped our vacation go smoothly. My kids loved the swimming pool and the mango stand just down the street, they stopped by everyday and they loved the iguanas that would hang out while we swam! I really cant fault our stay, the pictures are accurate and none of us had any difficulty with the stairs. We hope to return sometime and visit the beautiful island again. Thanks for having us!

This house was prefect for us!

This house is exactly as it is described. It has everything we needed and more. The owner was very responsive before arrival and answered any questions we had. Rosa the caretaker came to clean the pool every two days and made sure we didn’t need anything. The location was great for us as we wanted something away from the north end, but there were several restaurants within walking distance (we also rented a golf cart for the week). We had a great week and would 100% rent this house again if we return to the island.

Excellent!!

This property was perfect for our family trip to Isla Mujeres. The house and outside spaces were immaculate and well stocked. Communication with the owner, Leslie, was excellent, before, during, and after our stay. The property manager Rosa was very responsive whenever we needed anything. The inside spaces were very comfortable. The outside spaces were our favorite places to spend our relaxation time - LOVED the palapa, pool, and roof terrace. The location was excellent, very quiet at night. The taco stand across the street has the best tocos on the island. I highly recommend this property!

This property was one of the best VRBO homes I have stayed in.

I could not get over the attention to details that were included with this home. You are dealing with an actual person versus a managing company. Rosa had the house immaculate when we arrived. All of this is on top of the amazing views, location, pool, comfortable beds, etc. I have several VRBO homes in the states and this home is what all VRBO homes should strive to be. Great Job!!

Amazing views and outdoor spaces!

Checking into Paraíso Sur was a breeze and easy to find. This was our 6th trip to Isla and the house had some of the best views of any property we have been! We enjoyed the courtyard pool every morning and the rooftop pool every late afternoon. The outdoor seating are under the palapa was our favorite spot to hang out. The house was one of the most well stocked rentals I have ever stayed in and thoughtful details made it a comfortable home. As a bonus, amazing shrimp tacos are just across the street as well as a newer well stocked convenience store. For future renters, just be aware as there is only one bedroom on the ground floor and it is a steep spiral staircase to the upper two floors. Was not a problem for us but our 80 year old friend not staying with us couldn’t climb them. Would recommend this home highly!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week in Isla, thanks to Leslie and her lovely property! The house had literally everything you could imagine you would need and more! There was so much space, both inside and out to spread out, we loved the pools and palapa, hammocks, everything! The view from the rooftop was stunning! We will be back!

The perfect stay

First off, top notch communication from the owner Leslie. She asked on the first day how everything went with check in. Made us feel at ease and comfortable. Then the house itself was perfection. You’ll be amazed once you step on that top roof deck. We were! The air conditioning inside was excellent. Sufficient kitchen utensils/plates/bowls/etc. The washer and dryer worked fine. Great outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and palapa. We felt safe and left our golf cart parked outside the gate, no issues. The spiral staircase seems daunting at first but easy to climb, just have help getting your luggage up and down it if needed. The location was Close to The Joint, Punta Sur, snorkeling and then a 20 minute GCart ride up to Hidalgo Street. We got used to the low level street noise as golf carts rode by, music from the restaurant played, and the horses and chickens did their thing. Inside though, you don’t hear any of this. Maintenance does come by (depending on the length of your stay) to ensure everything is working and supplied properly. Overall it was an excellent stay and we have been talking about the house ever since we got back home. You’re going to love it!

Wonderful vacation home!

We had the absolute best time at Paraiso Sur. The house was super clean and more than stocked with kitchen necessities, beach towels, and bedding. The jetted pool upstairs was amazing and the roof view of the ocean spectacular. We loved our nights out under the palapa in the tall chairs playing dice and having drinks. The property manager Drew was just lovely and the location was perfect for us. The sounds of birds and our resident iguanas were so fun to wake up to. We can't wait to go back.

Paraiso Sur was a beautiful property. We stayed as a group of 5. Plenty of room for all of us. The house was cleaner than any we have stayed in on Isla. Sunsets on the roof were awesome! We are booking for next year!

A beautiful slice of paradise!

This is our first experience of vacationing outside of All-Inclusives, so I was a bit anxious. I soon discovered that there was absolutely no need for concern! Paraiso Sur was so comfortable - from the house layout to the bedding to the views...oh those views! The rooftop patio was a great place for a game of cards by day (with mojitos, of course!) and a romantic sunset dinner by night! There was so much space to have quiet time if you needed. As to the aforementioned mojitos, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that we thought we needed and more - including a blender! It felt just like a home away from home. The house was spotless on arrival. Loads of beach towels, linens, dishes, cups/mugs, pots & pans ... even more than I have at home! The palapa area was used every day to enjoy breakfast and watch Isla come alive with visitors from the mainland coming to visit Garrafon Natural Reef Park (just a few minutes walk down the road!) and Punta Sur (a few minutes walk past Garrafon). Paraiso Sur is in an amazing spot for exploring the south end of the island! It was super easy to flag down a cab outside the secure gate of Paraiso Sur - we always got one within a few minutes. Head downtown to see the artisan markets or stroll along Playa Norte or Playa Centro! I particularly enjoyed coming back "home" to float in the heart-shaped pool and listen to some music...an amazing place to just relax and not deal with the time share BS at the resorts, and vendors constantly trying to sell stuff. I think I might be an all-inclusive convert now and we can't wait to come back! Thanks Leslie, for answering my 1000 questions!! :)

Sprawling outdoor areas, welcoming vibes, comfy beds, unexpected extras

Isla Mujeres is one of our favorite destinations. This home is our favorite VRBO rental in the US, Canada, and Mexico. This truly felt like a home rather than a house. We were a family of two adults and three teens. There were enough cups, plates, and bowls that we could have been a party 10 times that size before running out of dishes. There weren’t quite as many beach towels, but we could have used a new one each day without having to do laundry until day four. Beds were so comfy it was hard to drag teens from them each morning, despite the lure of the island. House and outdoor areas were spotless as were all the kitchen utensils, dishes, and silverware. The home is easy to secure with locking gates, doors, and windows and ample parking for a golf cart or two. The location is within walking distance of several restaurants, beach clubs, and Punta Sur. Between the rooftop, 2nd floor balcony, ground floor pool area, palapa area, and hammock patio, there are enough options to escape winds, sun, rain, and family members...if needed. An unexpected welcoming package of chips, salsa, Corona, and a bag of coffee made our first night and morning more comfortable. The teens were delighted to see the towel animals on the beds in each room (and so were we). The little extras included a great selection of DVDs & books, binoculars, portable blue tooth speaker, numerous board games including Cards Against Humanity and flashlights. A few of our favorites included Cards Against Humanity in the evenings under the palapa; the short island-wide power outage the night of the blood moon watching from the roof top as the clouds floated past; morning sunrises and coffee from the rooftop listening to the island come awake; watching the flotilla of boats pass in the bay; and the front row, roof top seat to the sun setting each evening. We can’t recommend this home highly enough.

Isla Mujeres paradise by the sea

As I was sitting in the pool on the rooftop deck feeling the ocean breeze while watching twilight descend over the southern tip of the island ( I could see both the sea and bay) my vacation truly started. The van service from the airport was seamless and I was on the ferry in less than an hour after landing. Paraiso Sur is about a 15 minute golf cart ride down the island and from the minute you walk through the gate, you know it is going to be fun. From the pool in the front yard to the very large palapa with awesome furniture (possibly one of the biggest tables I have seen) to the well laid out house it was just as expected. Three large bedrooms all with on suites and a fully equipped kitchen took care of the indoor needs but frankly we were outside pretty well all the time. When we were inside the air conditioning was so great as it was pretty warm mind you it was June. The Island was a lot of fun. So many interesting local restaurants and bars kept the evening hours busy and the main beach was a great place to hang out during the day. The water was clean and there were lots of refreshments and food to be had. Try out the beach umbrella service. Very reasonable and made for a relaxing day at the beach without having to bring a lot of stuff yourself. The town itself is quite busy especially on the weekend and is a nice mix of locals and tourists. Great weather, great food , great people and a great house. Hard to beat. Thanks Leslie

Great Location worth the price

Another Isla Mujeres Paradise Trip

This was our 5th trip to Isla, each time we have stayed at Punta Sur (South Point). This house was beautiful, and Leslie made the trip even easier by having a great property manager, and a neighbor who was also extremely helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen was set up very nicely and we had zero problems with anything. As someone mentioned earlier, there are many places for people to have their own along time if desired. Just a wonderful stay all the way around, you'll definitely love this place! Scott McMeekan

BEST OUTDOOR SPACES EVER!

We loved our stay at Paraiso Sur. It was spotless, well stocked and had the best outdoor spaces we have experienced yet in our vacation rentals. We loved the privacy, not only because it's a private gated yard, but because there were so many spaces to choose to hang out, to be with others or enjoy relaxing time on one's own. Always a sunny place, always a shady place! We loved the views, the birds, the landscaping, the location on the South end of the Island (our favourite). We brought 3 family members who had never experienced Isla Mujeres before, and they all loved it as much as we do. It is close to The Joint (reggae bar) but they shut down early evening and the music was not an issue for us. The stairs are a bit steep, but charming. Each bedroom has a private bath (excellent). And the artwork on the walls is lovely. We had a couple of maintenance issues. One phone call and the property manager was right on it. Service was excellent in every way. I was a bit worried because the stove was not a gas cooktop, but it worked wonderfully. We ate almost as many meals there as at the wonderful restaurants. (Too many to name, but El Patio is our very favourite). Our favourite new place is La Tarima...so relaxed there, and so delicious. Go on Sunday morning for wonderful 3 person band from Argentina. And of course you cannot beat the Beach! We definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Time in ISLA

This home is fabulous. It is located at the south end of the island and is so quiet. The gentle breeze from the water comes into the palapa and is wonderful. The pool/hot tub are so refreshing after the warm sun hits your skin. The house has all the amenities and the bedrooms are so comfy with wonderful beds. We stayed there with our 3 adult children and they did not want to leave. Martin is great with any issues you have and they cleaned our house once during our visit and it was so nice to come back in with everything in place. The house has safes in each room and we felt very safe/secure the entire time. The owner has left so many extras for our comforts...books/DVD/beach bags/sunscreen...etc.... Randy-Houston TX July 2017

First Class Treatment

This property was a little heaven on the island. The property manager had turned on the lights and started the A/C for us prior to our arrival late in the evening. We were also greeted with cold beer and snacks! Large bottled water service is provided in the house. The house was spotless and the pool was clean and refreshing. Each bedroom has it's own A/C which was a plus. Plenty of pool towels were provided and the kitchen was stocked nicely with utensils and several cooking supplies (spices, oil, ect) The outside entertaining area was a dream. Covered BBQ area next to pool with an outside bathroom made staying "home" so enjoyable. The outside decks on both the second and third floor gave us plenty of space to spread out. The location is a ways from downtown, golf cart is a must. However, our family enjoyed being out of the crush of tourists. The property manager checked in with us a couple of times and the owner emailed me during our stay to see how things were going. Very attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is headed to Isla Mujeres. Without a doubt I will stay here next time I am in the area!

Perfect location for a wonderful family vacation!

We stayed at Paraiso Sur for a week with adults and teenagers. The location couldn't have been more perfect. There were many fun and tasty restaurants within walking distance. We were drawn out too frequently by the fun and live music at The Joint less than 5 minutes away. We found 3 amazing snorkeling beaches with 10 minutes of the house, all with nice sandy beaches. The house felt so clean and bug free! I actually slept like a log every night as I didn't fear bugs getting into the place. We split our time between the pool, the huge shaded palapa, and the roof top patio - each deck perfect for a different time of day. There was so much seating in each area that we could seat all of us no matter where we were. Inside the house was so comfortable! Each room had it's own bathroom so we could spread out as we wanted. We cooked frequently on the BBQ as well as on the stove - both worked perfectly which hasn't always been the case with other vacation rentals in Mexico. I was glad to be away from the chaos of "downtown" but still just a 15 minute drive away when we wanted a change of scenery. There was a beautiful walk you can take from the house that took you along the water and looped back to the house. Rent a cart as there is so much too see on this beautiful island. We will be back for sure!
