The location was beautiful. I loved hearing the ocean waves the entire day and night. The area was quiet overall. We enjoyed watching all the surfers arrive with the sunrise and catch some waves. I think it’s time to replace the sofa set as it’s pretty saggy to sit in. The master bed mattress needs replacing. My husband and I spent the first night on that bed and it was very uncomfortable on his side of the bed. It appears to be quite worn out on the one side over the other. We were grateful there was another small bedroom that he chose to sleep in. Our last night there the people below had their music very loud along with loud conversations and laughing. Oh well!Our host Mary was wonderful. She greeted us and gave us a tour of the place which was very helpful.

Spectacular location! My wife and I (and later, our little family) have been coming to San Diego since 2010. We have stayed on Sunset Cliffs or the Pac Beach boardwalk every time before this trip (about once a year). I can’t remember what made us look closer to La Jolla, but I’m so happy we did. Not only are the views incredible and unobstructed, but the location feels like a “locals” community. Each night at sunset, the neighborhood quietly came together on the little frontage street by the house and enjoyed a collective moment of indescribable beauty before separating out into the world again. Truly a magical experience. Beyond that nightly ritual, the beach access is steps away and there were plenty of toys to use there. The house itself was very nice and clean. Our four-person family fit comfortably; each kid with their own space, and another for my wife and myself. Finally, but certainly not least, our host, Mary, was an absolute gem. She was informative and so accommodating; from being there when we checked in for a quick walkthrough to being easily accessible if we needed anything. If the property and location weren’t enough to bring us back (which they absolutely are), Mary would be the cherry on top that would cement it for us. We aren’t sure yet when we’ll return, but this spot just jumped to the top of our list when we set up the next visit’s plans. Thank you, Mary. Thank you, San Diego. Be seeing you soon.

Great location, the deck was awesome. The office has a door and is used as a 3rd bedroom. The host was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. They were also very responsive to our requests. We had a great time despite the unusually cool weather in August.

This was our 2nd time staying at this amazing spot and it was again, perfection. Location, location, location! Best views!! Perfect size for our family of 4. Quick walk to the beach to catch the waves and play in the sand. Will continue to come back!

Perfect Beachfront Family Getaway !

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this San Diego condo! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach and within walking distance to amazing shops, restaurants, ice cream, and more. It was perfect for our family, especially with a toddler in tow.The condo itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with all the amenities we could possibly need. From beach towels and toys to strollers and gear, they truly thought of everything to make our stay easy and fun. The patio overlooking the ocean was a dream—we spent countless hours just relaxing and taking in the stunning views.While the internet was a little slow at times, it didn’t take away from the experience. The quiet dead-end street made it feel peaceful and safe, and it was still super convenient to access the boardwalk and all the major San Diego attractions.A huge shoutout to the property manager who was incredibly organized, helpful, and full of fantastic recommendations for local food and activities.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and are already looking forward to coming back!

Perfect location, set up and hospitality! Mary greeted us at check in and showed us all the amenities and gave us recommendations for local stores and restaurants. Great combination of amazing views plus steps to the beach. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful trip! The condo is in a perfect location to see all kinds of sights in the area and to relax on the beach. I appreciated that I didn't have to go out and buy hand soap, detergeant, etc. after having traveled so far. The only thing that would have been helpful would have been to have a larger pot and collander for pasta in the kitchen. Finally, one other note is that I would have preferred a little more transparency about the check in process. A woman met us at the property to check us in. She didn't identify who she is. Is she the owner? The property manager? She asked to take a photo of my license but didn't explain why or how the photo would be disposed of. Still a wonderful trip, just some minor kinks.

Wonderful stay!

This view was unbeatable, and much more quiet than staying on the boardwalk area. Communication was great, and the place was stocked with everything we needed. Definitely would stay again!

A little bit of paradise

This was our third time staying at the property. The ocean view from the deck is unbeatable. The condo is well-equipped, very comfortable, and extremely convenient. The management is extremely easy to work with and get a hold of. We loved our stay and would do it again.

In plain sight yet a hidden gem! ❤️

My two sisters and a friend stayed at this beautiful VRO! Our first day all of us decided to come here again. We were so excited with the serenity, ocean view and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! Mary and Gina went above and beyond with answering all my questions including providing a list of eateries! The VRO has everything you need even binoculars 😊 which was a pleasant surprise! When you can go on vacation and not have to worry about anything, but packing your clothes is true relaxation! This was my very first time staying at a VRO and I must say they set the bar really high! 😂 I definitely will be back here next year!

Dream spot

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location. This house was steps away from the beach. We enjoyed our private patio and looking at that ocean view every day. You can hear the ocean in every single room. The house was clean and had great space for our family of four. Mary showed us around and made us feel at home. She was kind and had wonderful hospitality. We really liked that there was a washer and dryer as well as beach accessories. Traveling is hard enough and this house had the amenities we needed. We loved this place and everything is had to offer!

Perfect Beach Getaway!

My family and I stayed at this property for 5 days and had such a perfect, relaxing beach vacation. Everything about our stay was perfect, especially the wonderful, thoughtful hospitality. Our trip was so great that I cried when we left. I cannot wait to come back again!

Great second floor view

The condo had the wonderful view, and it was very cozy. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen appliances were quite nice. We have some additional feedback that we feel is important for future renters: We wish that we had known that there was the staircase which made it very difficult for us. We found it hard to take our luggage up and down; going out to see San Diego every day was not easy as much as we enjoyed the city. Perhaps the stairway could be mentioned along with the picture of the ocean and the seating of the loft. The over all deferred maintenance, like the rusted screens with holes in them, were some of the problems. The door to the outside loft needs a screen door. We had a number of flies enter the condo. One of the showers, furthest away from the front door, had done not been cleaned well. There was hair in the drain. In the other bathroom, the wall with the towels had marks were the racks were moved—this area needed a touch up of paint.

Excellent roof top!

It was a friends trip and we spent most of our time walking in the beach, sitting on the rooftop watching the ocean, beach, kite surfers and surfers! Excellent location!!

Pleasant, Relaxing Stay

The property was very clean and the hospitality was great! The manager even provided our favorite coffee. The property was very comfortable and met our need of three bedrooms in a beachfront location. It also was close to almost all of the other locations we visited. The only downside was that the furnishings were worn. The picture of the deck and furnishings in the listing did not match what was really there. Although comfortable, they were very worn. The master bedroom dresser had unusable drawers and some of the metal on furnishings was rusty from the salty air. The building itself needed some repairs s well. We understand that it is hard to maintain beachfront properties due to the salty air. We would still recommend it, and our adult son said that he might try to stay there again in the future.
