We absolutely loved this beachfront paradise. We have rented at least 5 different homes in Windansea beach area in the last few years and we will only rent this place from now on. Views are stunning, the house is well stocked with everything you need, and the communication is top notch. Highly recommended!

Always a perfect vacation

We travel from the Reno-Tahoe area every year for Memorial Weekend to honor our dad other family members buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Our tradition includes staying at this property in La Jolla that never disappoints. The unit is a great location and ADA friendly with an elevator right to the unit. We celebrate with out family and friends and enjoy the beach and the amazing ocean view! There aren’t many properties in the area that compare to this one and the price is less that what a hotel would have cost for the weekend. Super easy to get to Carlsbad, Ocean Beach, and Downtown SD locations like Gas Lamp, Petco Park and Little Italy. Plenty of local options in the are as well.

Wonderful space

This is a very nice unit with a beautiful view. Watch surfers all day and the sunset from the living room. Nice sized bedrooms. Very clean. 30 minute walk to Bird Rock to the south or La Jolla Cove area shopping to the north. We will be back when we return to San Diego.

House of Mirrors

So many mirrors was disturbing. Bathroom has floor to ceiling mirrors on the 3 walls. As Joey says in friends…you are peeing with the Rockettes. Not anything I even want to do again. Mirror walls in the kitchen, and dining room. Glass blocks by the door light up the entire house at night, so in addition to the pull out sofa bed being extremely uncomfortable, you couldn’t sleep because it was so bright. No air conditioning in the bedrooms was odd, and warm for sleeping. Had some sort of portable window unit in the family room that just blew air out from a very small vent. Very odd….then had stand alone heater tucked away in the bedroom closet. Not an ideal heating and cooling system for the cost of the unit. Not to mention the 70’s mirror decor again. Parking isn’t regulated for the garage and we had people parked in our spot at fifferent times 3 of the 4 days we were there. Sometimes with our car in the garage. Other than those nuances, location was alright, street side, so everyone can see inside the unit when the blinds are up. Busy busy street. Car lights came in all night as well. Need to lose the vertical blinds that don’t work. I read that in another review and didn’t think it would bother us, but it did, because of all the street traffic beaming in the family room. And the blinds split open because of the round tubing coming from the air conditioning units out of the windows. At least it was clean and had a nice view of the ocean for the most part.

Great view / great location

Four of us left New Orleans before Mardi Gras and stayed here for three days. The view out of the very large great room overlooking the ocean was amazing. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and big. There were surfers from sunrise to an amazing sunset. Great restaurants were 5-10 minutes away. We visited the zoo, the Safari Park, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND and the Aquarium, all on the Go City Pass. Great little trip and a great spot to do it from.

Stunning ocean view

This is a very nice condo with o close up view of the ocean that is incomparable to any beach front property we’ve stayed at before. Unit is not heated or air conditioned and temps outside were in the 50s. We were chilly. Washer dryer are coin op outside the unit but easily accessible. Immaculate and in good working order.

Very pleasant, wonderful location

The location can't be beat with the view of the beach and pacific ocean. The unit itself was very well equipped, comfortable furniture and bedding, very good linens and towels. Do be aware that the garage is very narrow (I had to fold in my rear view mirrors on my SUV to get in/out), and the unit has no outside space (such as a deck) itself (but just cross the street and sit on a bench to enjoy being outside). The unit is also pretty much at street level so people outside can see in if the blinds and curtains are open (which of course you want them to be to enjoy the view). But those are minor points, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect!

Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. The property was clean and well appointed. The location was convenient. The views from inside the unit are stunning! The accesses to walk the beach were immediately across the street. Or, if you prefer a sidewalk stroll or just relaxing on a bench to watch the views those are just outside your door. A parking garage and elevator access to the unit completed the perfect home-away-from-home. If we are lucky, we will return someday to this property for another visit!

Best spot at Wind and Sea Beach

Wow! We can’t believed we unwittingly booked the best spot at Wind and Sea Beach. We had a perfect view of the surfers and the historical surfer’s hut at Wind and Sea. Not only that but, there was a great grocery store and two great restaurants nearby. Fabulous!

Surfer Watch

Exactly as advertised. We enjoyed watching the waves and the surfers every morning and evening. Location is out of town but so worth the short drive. Perfect location for day trips north and south of La Jolla.

Amazing views of ocean and best surf spot in very comfortable setting close to scenic coastal spots.

Owner and property manager were excellent and not only provided tips for local attractions and dining but were very helpful in orienting us to unit and area. They provided everything needed and made sure our stay was great. The condo provided a wonderful window to view sunsets, jump right onto La Jolla coastal walk and watch great surfing as well as easy walks to great dining options.

Feel like you're on the beach without getting sand in your toes

We had a spectacular time at this beautiful property directly on the ocean. You literally wake up and feel like you're on the beach. It's a great location next to the beach walk, about 15 minute walk of 5 minute drive to La Jolla restaurants and shops. There are 2 parking spaces with the unit. Communication with manager was easy and seamless.

Wonderful!

My husband, son, and I spent a wonderful long weekend at this condo. It’s in a great location and has a beautiful view of the ocean. It was also a pleasure to work with Yassi. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Amazing location!

Lovely location! We enjoyed the rugged coastline & watching the surfers. The view is incredible! The kitchen was very well stocked! Yassi was very helpful & answered the phone immediately when my daughters forgot their keys & locked themselves out! The only thing missing was an outside porch to enjoy. The proximity to the beach & view made up for this!
