The Space:

This upstairs one bedroom, one bath Legacy Villa provides privacy and all the conveniences needed for your next stay in the California desert. Whether you are coming for a few nights or a month, this property has all the space you need to enjoy your vacation. The living room has a pull-out queen sofa, a dining table that seats six and additional chairs around the TV. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a gas range and stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer. A hall closet contains a stackable washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a king bed, small desk and TV enclosed in a chest of drawers. The bathroom can be accessed from either the hallway or the master bedroom. The bathroom has a separate shower and soaking tub, granite countertops and linen storage. The condo’s private balcony sits above an interior courtyard overlooking a tranquil fountain. Enjoy warm desert days and cool desert evenings in quiet comfort. The condo is a short-walk to the community fitness center, clubhouse, Legacy Grille and community pool and spa.The unit can be combined with LV003 (Upstairs Studio with a Fountain View) to create a 2 bedroom unit with dual master suites (subject to availability).

The property is located at Legacy Villas in La Quinta. Enjoy 12 saltwater pools and spas, a fitness center and a community clubhouse and barbeque and 24 hour gated security. Within walking distance of La Quinta Resort and only a short drive from Old Town La Quinta, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and the Indio Polo Grounds; get to everything quickly.

La Quinta is home to over 30 public and private golf courses. The PGA Tour's Humana Challenge is hosted at several of the cities courses each January. The BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament is hosted at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden every March; only a ten minute drive from the condo. Don't forget the La Quinta Arts Festival and the Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals. The Coachella Valley is your best bet for outdoor adventure in all seasons.

Cute, quiet and enjoyable. La Quinta city is a ways from Palm Springs, but there are plenty of consignment shops to stop at along the way. We will definitely be back.

Great experience

Would definitely stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place to stay. They were very accommodating. The place was very clean and better than in the picture. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The staff at the front gate seemed overwhelmed with the number guests in the area for the festivals. They were unorganized but other than that it was great.

Legacy Villa December Visit

Functional space for a couple. Reasonably appointed, a step up from hotel/resort accommodation but not a “home” environment. Very basic kitchen utensils/cookware - fine as long as you’re not intending to prepare substantial meals. It’s somewhat dark. The December sun doesn’t touch the outside deck very long . Good accommodation for a home base while pursuing activities in the valley.

Not our favorite Legacy Villa stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Whished we had been told that someone was renting next door at the same time. Not much privacy at all. We understand that's the risk you take with renting a one bedroom unit. Also half of the lights did not work in the unit. And if that's a queen bed in the unit it is a smaller version of queen beds that we know. It seemed more on the scale of a double.

Thank you for your review and comments. Many units in this community are lock offs, but the sound is typically at a very reasonable level, no different than a hotel room. We wish we had known about the lights. We have a technician who can respond within a couple of hours and replace the light bulbs in just a few minutes. The queen bed is a standard size queen, which we know is not ideal for everyone, but we do offer many other units with king size beds, if that fits your needs better.

Above average Legacy unit

We've stayed at several Legacy properties over the last year and overall, this one is above average. The listing and pictures fairly represent the unit. Like every Legacy unit we've been in, it's darker than what we'd prefer, even with all the lights on and the shutters and drapes open. It is upstairs which eliminates the noise associated with people being above you, but the trade off is that there are 20 or so stairs to negotiate. The unit was clean and equipped with the bare minimum of dishes and little to no supplies, which was OK on this short stay because we ate out every meal. The internet was very fast and allowed us to stream video using our Roku stick and via the WiFi. The bed and bedding was superior and very comfortable and the fridge kept our drinks exceptionally cold. Climate control worked fine as did the keyless front door lock. The entry instructions were clear but we had to guess as to how to lock the door while we were in the unit as well as when we left. The only downside was that the unit smelled a bit like there had recently been animals in it and as people without pets, it smelled a bit off.

the communication was excellent by the agent. We actually inadvertently arrived a day early and the host was able to accommodate us. The condo was in good working order with plenty of needed supplies. A small issue was the bathroom sink cold water faucet needs a new washer, as it leaks every time you turn it on.

Loved it, but...

Perfect stay EXCEPT inform guests the distinction between the Classic and Legacy condos, as each has units with the EXACT same address. Frustrating as my wife is at the address across the driveway...but I was in the Legacywith our friends.

Most everything was great. The unit overall was immaculate, bedding and towels were great. Here are a few things that need a bit of help. 1. The materials in the unit say there should be a remote for the garage and there was not. Parking was a bit of a challenge on Saturday night. 2. Under cabinet lights in the kitchen were only working under the cabinet to the right of stove. The rest were not. Cooking, serving, storage utensils—something to consider during the pandemic when most of us are cooking in, even on vacation: 3. The cooking pans are all old, and not especially clean and could use replacing. 4. There were tons of flatware knives but far too few forks. 5. The addition of some sort of cooking tongs would be helpful. 6. There are no storage containers with lids. While we did bring our own foil and some ziplocs, it would be nice if there were a few glass pyrex with lids to use as well. We love the Legacy Villas and we will definitely be back! Great Place, but annoying communication!

The condo and complex were great! Very quiet, nice pools (with reasonable Covid procedures in place) and clean. My only complaint is that the company that manages the property (California Vacation Villas) sent me 6 texts, and at least 10 emails about checkin/chekout reminders and contract details (on top of the standard few that VRBO sends) It was way too many, and made the actual info that I needed (address, door code, checkout time) difficult to locate because I had to sift through so many communications. Tone it down! One info email plus a receipt email would have been plenty. 3 stars for check in process due to this, although check in itself via door code was very easy.
