If you want a true Oregon experience, and if privacy, solitude and pristine environment, is what you desire and deserve, the gated privacy of Historic Mountain Pacific Chalet is the cabin for you! The thundering Pacific Ocean, the emerald green Coast Mountains and the pristine Ancient Forest is all that can be seen and heard at this unique cabin. Perched on a forested mountainside 250 ft. above the sea, this exposed beam A-Frame Cedar Chalet with its custom mill work, glowing wood stove, an outside ocean view hot tub, and indoor ocean view jacuzzi, will make for a one of a kind experience.

The Mountain Pacific Chalet sets back off the road, with gated security. The forest, mountains and ocean can be viewed from all rooms in this beautiful Cedar Chalet and rest assured, it has one of the most breath taking views on ALL of the rugged Oregon Coast. You won't be disappointed!

Imagine sitting in the great room with its huge wooden beams and glowing wood stove, and watching as Whales, Orcas, Seals and Sea Lions swim within a few hundred feet from where you are sitting. You will also watch Bald Eagles soar overhead as countless Eagles call this area (Seal Point) home.

Imagine the early morning swish as a Whale surfaces to get a breath of crisp, pure Oregon air. Imagine watching a friendly Black Bear meandering in the woods on his way to catch a fish or pick berries. And, imagine the peace and tranquility that you will experience relaxing in this cabin with a good book and your favorite tea, among the mist, the mountains, and being surrounded be the 3 million acre jewel of the Oregon Coast, the Siuslaw National Forest with not a single neighbor anywhere nearby.

This will be your experience that you will enjoy and cherish at this beautiful, and unique Chalet, located on the shores of Sea Rose Beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our longest trip on the coast, we really needed it. Everything was perfect, we had some great and some awful weather, we saw elk on the property and had a great time. We will be back :) Everything was good as it always has been (this was either our 7th or 8th stay at this property).

The rental company staff are always helpful, friendly and professional. We usually make this our family get-away twice a year. Easy access to Yachats or Florence (or beyond), multiple beaches,etc. Restaurants are nearby, or cook your own meals at the Chalet. Beautiful views, relaxing spot!

If location is everything for you this is the place! Absolutely stunning ocean views from the living room and hot tub! The cabin is minutes away from some of the most amazing sights we’ve ever seen such as Thor’s Well, Devils Churn and so many amazing beaches! The cabin is in need of updates. The beds are all very firm and older, the towels are very worn and most of the windows have no screens. The hot tub is also clearly way past its prime. We would recommend this VRBO to anyone but would also urge the owner(s) to reinvest in this amazing property.

Another Lovely Stay in Yachats!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a delightful time again at Mountain Pacific Chalet. While the house could use a few touch ups (screens on the slider door and the upstairs bedroom window would be helpful, and the picnic table outside needs to be replaced as it's unsafe to sit at now that once side is broken), the house in general was in great shape with lots of amenities. The house and hot tub were were very clean at check in. And of course, the location cannot be beat! We saw whales a few times from the house, and it's always such a treat to cross over to the nearby beaches north and south with our dog.

The location was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed being so close to the ocean—it truly made for a memorable trip.The home was well-stocked and thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to settle in and feel right at home. We especially appreciated the cozy living spaces and how peaceful the neighborhood was.A few small suggestions that could make the stay even better: it would be great to have more windows that open, especially with screens. Only two windows—the kitchen and the downstairs bedroom—could be opened, which made the house feel a bit stuffy during the midafternoon. Being able to open windows to let in the ocean breeze and sound of the waves would have been amazing. A screen door on the side slider and a screen on one of the large front windows would also be a nice touch.We also noticed that the bottom lock on the front door tended to stick, and the keypad didn’t seem to be functioning properly.One other thing to note: the mattress in the upstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable—almost like sleeping on the floor. Adding a plush mattress topper would make a big difference and improve the quality of sleep.Overall, though, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return. With a few minor adjustments, this place would be absolutely perfect! Ocean odyssey was very professional and made the process easy!

Beautiful location, not up to descriptipon

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn't time our arrival right but housecleaners let us in early, yay. The sign for the driveway is easy to miss especially when there's a lot of traffic.There are multiple hiking trail signs but no information on length, difficulty,etc. the same applies to the tv and entertainment system.. basic instruction sheet is standard. The dryer lint filter was so dirty it looked like it had never been cleaned.The upstairs bedroom window doesn't have a screen, so there is no ventilation aside from a cheap desk-top fan. The sliding door also does not have a screen which would help with ventilation as well.The 'basic spices' didn't include a salt shaker and the upper shelf is missing a support which allows every thing on to fall out of the cupboard!None of my issues are huge but combined they make me question the validity of the rental fees.Lastly, if you're a crab lover you are supposed to cook it in the house, what's up with that? Best to stop at Novelli's on the way!

The only suggestion I have is maybe to put blinds on downstairs bedroom and bathroom windows. While on vacation I like to sleep in later than daybreak. 😂

Overall great experience. Private and scenic but close to many activities. Cabin clean and maintained though dated. Only thing I would change is the mattresses, which were very old and quite uncomfortable. Otherwise really wonderful.

Our favorite beach house

Loved this house ! Incredible view. Well maintained hiking paths from property. Clean and well stocked. Needs a new mattress in upstairs bedroom. Aside from that I wouldn’t change one thing. We plan to come back when we can watch a storm from the amazing windows. Wow!

Secluded getaway

We stayed for our 31st wedding anniversary. Great place! Secluded with beautiful ocean view! Hot tub was clean and jets worked as they should. Wood fireplace was amazing and heated entire home. Our stay was cozy and relaxing. Would highly recommend!

Don't book for the bathtub

We booked it for our baby moon, and I was scouring all of the beach rentals for a jacuzzi tub with an ocean view. This rental advertised a jacuzzi tub with an ocean view, but when we arrived the ocean view had been walled off. Also, the water is rusty. I was glad we packed jugs of water to drink. I ran the water for a long time, and still it came out the color of tea. Needless to say, I didn't get to take my bath. The place is cute and nicely decorated. It's kind of dark, and there is no beach access (it doesn't advertise beach access, but for those that are hoping for this, want to just let you know it is not available).

Comfy beds are a big bonus. Management was promptly responsive to email questions and very accommodating. We loved our time at the Chalet and look forward to the next time we stay!

We love the privacy, the view, and the convenient location between Yachats and Florence. It's only a few miles to Heceta Head Lighthouse and Sea Lion Caves to the south, and it's close to Cape Perpetua and Yachats to the north. The view is beautiful, the house is clean, and the property managers from Ocean Odyssey are wonderful!

Splendid isolation, outstanding views

It sits by itself on a wooded hill with no other houses,buildings, or the highway in sight. Complete privacy and quiet. The view of the ocean is expansive and you feel as if you could reach out and touch it. There are even some rocks below that seals use. The chalet itself is a little dated but the furniture is comfortable. The night temperature got into the 40s during our stay and the baseboard heat in the living room was sufficient to heat the whole cabin. (Also has a wood stove which we didn't use).Loved it.

Could not open the windows or patio door because of the bugs and possible small creatures. The house was stuffy and has a 'shut up' odor. Gravel part of the drive way needs filled in; rough ride. Enjoyed Yachets, Heceta lighthouse, Sea Lion cave, Cape Perpetua. Easy drive to either Newport or Florence. Love the Mo's in Florence. Reported as 3 queen beds; they were full sized at most, not queens.
