Located on the edge of the Siuslaw National Forest, this private cabin on 3 acres invites you to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of modern day-to-day life. The cabin reflects a contemporary yet rustic aesthetic, romantic and charming! Conveniently located just 8 miles south of the cute village of Yachats, you will find many activities to keep you busy!

The living and dining rooms have wonderful open views with a vaulted ceiling, loft, and a full expanse of windows that overlook the ocean and the woods. Enhance your relaxation by sitting next to the electric fireplace; reading a good book or watching your favorite show on the smart TV. Looking for some fun after dinner? The cabin is loaded with games and puzzles to play with the family. As day fades into night, take advantage of the outdoor firepit in the yard and lay in the hammock to watch the stars.

The kitchen boasts all stainless appliances and is perfect for putting together a wonderful meal for the family. Take it to the next level and grill up the catch of the day on the gas grill while listening to the waves on the shore and the wind in the trees. After dinner desert can be roasted marshmallows and s'mores around the outdoor firepit.

This cozy and updated cabin sleeps up to 4 guests. There is one bedroom on the main floor that features an exterior door to the beautiful yard and a queen bed. The second bedroom is upstairs in the loft. It also features a queen bed, a nook perfect for reading and skylights that show off the stunning views of the ocean and sky.

Ready to explore? The cabin has a path to the beach for those that are nimble! Part way down is what is called 'sunset beach' which is a sunny spot to sit and enjoy the sweeping views of the ocean. Keep going down the path, at your own risk, and you will find yourself on a very quiet and secluded beach. One of the best parts of staying at this property is the chance to explore one of Oregon coast's diverse and scenic regions. Located between Yachats and Florence, this area includes Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, Heceta Head State Park and Lighthouse, the Sea Lion Caves, and many roadside scenic viewpoints that are straight out of a travel website or magazine. This is a spectacular part of the Oregon coast!

The view was great. Loved the upstairs loft. Sorry that we couldn't walk straight to the beach. The walk down was OK until right before the beach and then it was treacherous and a mudhole.The place was very clean, perfect for 2 people. Sorry the fireplace was missing.

Such a beautiful cabin with a tender family history. Looking out the front windows of the cabin, I thought I was looking at picture postcards of an Oregon forest and ocean coast. What a location. The cabin was so clean and very charming. There was so much to do in the Yachats and Florence area. Great restaurants. We ate clam chowder everyday. So glad we stayed at Shelleyā€™s Cabin

Family Getaway with an Amazing View

We appreciated how private this property felt, the coziness combined with the gorgeous view, and the proximity to Yachats for stuff we needed. Our kids had sibling time in the loft and we all enjoyed watching movies together at night by the fire after tide pooling at the beach, visiting the sea lions, and renting ATV's on the sand dunes.

My Granddaughter thought this was best house we've ever rented.. Location and view was awesome.. Felt like we had our own private beach.. Everything was perfect.. Thanks for sharing your cabin in the trees along the coast .

Beautiful stay

We loved staying at this home. It had such beautiful views from the window and was really cozy. The beach is also accessible via stairs and is spectacular. It's less than 15 minutes from Yachats.

Amazing Anniversary

We celebrated our 26th anniversary at the Shelley Cabin and absolutely loved it! We were looking for something secluded and private with amazing ocean access and this was exactly that! Unbelievable private beach, cute cabin with nice amenities, and amazing property overlooking the ocean! If you want privacy on the Oregon Coast this is it!

We chose this cabin because the listing mentioned a fireplace, including ā€œEnhance the relaxation by sitting next to the electric fireplace,ā€ but unfortunately, it was not working during our stay. The host confirmed that it was down but after check in, and while this was a disappointment, we appreciated their communication.The listing also mentions ā€œThe cabin has a path to the beach,ā€ though reaching the ocean without getting wet is not straightforward due to waterfalls along the way. We enjoyed the location and access via nearby stairs the maintenance team generously offered to us.Exterior lights on the deck were not functional, and there were no chairs outside, which required some adjustment. A few other small details, like no dish sponge and weak water pressure and smell of the water in the restroom, were noticeable.That said, the location and views are exceptional - truly 10/5. The natural light, along with falling asleep and waking up to the sound and view of the ocean, makes this a very special place. The design is probably the best. The rating reflects these discrepancies between the listing and our experience, not the setting itself. With a few updates, this property could be truly outstanding.
