360 Degree mountain views from Heather's Hacienda in prestigious Weimer. A light and airy home dramatic with high viga ceilings and herring-bone latilla ceilings hand crafted from local mountain aspens. The traditional southwest wood burning kiva fireplace adds winter ambiance to this already inviting view home. Views are literally North, South, East and West. Just 1 mile to the Taos Youth & Family Center with pool, ice skating and other recreational facilities and a 15 minute walk to Carson National Forest and hiking trails.

For added pleasure and recreation slip into the luscious hot tub for star gazing on starry nights and relaxing after a day of skiing, white water rafting, hiking, fishing, biking or southwest shopping.

For extended entertaianment, the living room and every bedroom is equipped with its own Satellite TV.

Heather's Hacienda offers 2 "Portalls" the traditional New Mexico outdoor large covered patio which extends the living space to New Mexico's inviting year round climate. The East facing portal, for morning coffee, also sports a gas grill for "anytime bar-b-que". The West facing portal sports a second gas grill and offers awe inspiring sunsets with "not to be missed panoramic 4th of July fireworks" right on your very own front patio or hot tub.

Also, rare and unique to Taos, Heather's Hacienda comes equipped with an efficient and central evaporative cooling system that functions in dry desert climates only. Those who have never experienced "swamp cooling" as a form of air-conditioning are in for a real treat.

This very southwest style 2 master bedroom vacation rental house is located on a quiet residential street up on Prestigious Weimer Hill where all homes are on minimum one or more acre parcels. Never Again

The house was as advertised and the caretaker was very responsive. There is a huge problem with the house though. The house is infested with mice!! The caretaker put out traps. BUT when sitting on the couch a mouse ran across my back/neck!!!! We saw three different mice in the main area. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Beautiful Location, home needs some TLC

The property caretaker,Terra, was PHENOMENAL. She made the check in process easy, she was able to help me get wood delivered for the Kiva, she had the hot tub fixed quickly (didn’t work when we first tried to use it, electrical problem), she recommended a spot for our dogs to stay while we had to take a short trip, she answered our questions immediately, she arranged for a housekeeper to come mid stay to clean the house (and it was a reasonable fee) and she even offered to print our lease when we had to track something down at the post office. Cannot say enough good things about her. The location of the house is perfect, the house is spacious and the beds are comfortable, there are beautiful views, sunrise and sunsets are amazing on the porches. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The house is in need of some repairs. The back door is not tight and the front door doorknob lock does not lock the door. Only a deadbolt. The refrigerator leaks. There was trash outside when we arrived, some of the kitchen drawers were broken, the bed pillows were all stained (we ordered some pillows to use during our stay), the roof vent makes lots of noise in the kitchen and living room in the wind, there was wood, a towel, and various other things strewn in the back of the house when we arrived. The location and the caretaker are the best things about this house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for the center of town near the hot spots, this isn't it! What it is however is the perfect get away to relax. It is convenient to Taos Ski valley and not too far from Sante Fe and Red River/Angel Fire. The views were increadible and the property was very nice. Of course the price was very reasonable compared to other properties in the area, so all in all, this was a perfect week for us!!

Not as HAPPY as We could have Been

Reviewer Comments: We had a couple of people who had hoped to use the vacation to catch up on somethings on the computer but we did not have Internet for the entire time we were there. When I made my reservation I asked If wood came with the House, was told Yes but when we got to the house there was no wood. They did bring some about six or seven on Sunday but that was a whole day and a half with out wood. This part might be a non issue for most but not to me. I called our caretake three or four times and got back text messages, I'm old school and do not text I thought this to be very unprofessional I want to talk to the people I'm doing dealings with. I've stayed with Premiere Properties five or six times and this was the first time that I was not impressed with your service.

Peaceful Beauty

We highly recommend this property. The house has wonderful southwest décor and beautiful views of the mountains and the setting sun. Although it's just a few minutes from the Plaza, it is secluded and peaceful. The property had all the amenities we needed. Julianne the property manager is very helpful and does a great job. We plan on staying again at this property next year.

I highly recommend Heather’s Hacienda 2 and renting with Premier Properties. The house was beautifully decorated, well maintained and equipped with all the amenities we needed. A large picture window in the living room provided awesome sunset views. We found ourselves rushing back to the house so as not to miss the spectacular show! We had visited Taos many times, but had never rented a house before. Renting through Premier Properties was a great experience. The rental process was easy and convenient. Julianne, the caretaker for our property, was very responsive and provided excellent service. We’re already planning our visit in 2018!

Super nice home with everything you can think of to make your stay just like home. The house is nicely laid out with two separate master bedroom on each end of the home which gives you some privacy if need be. I would highly recommend this rental and plan on renting it again on my next trip to Taos.

Reviewer Comments: we absolutely LOVED the house! it was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-stocked. the porch was our favorite spot, though. we spent a good part of our time in the hammocks. thanks for the rain every evening, as well. nice touch. ;)our ONLY complaint would be that we never figured out how to work the swamp cooler. it got hot on a few afternoons. however, the rain cooled things off eventually, and we opened the windows to the cool, scented air.

While this is not a good start to a vacation, Heather's Hacienda really was an upgrade. The only thing it didn't have that the other property did have was a PS3. The views were spectacular. The house was very clean. Overall a very nice place to stay.

What a Pleasant Surprise!

Reviewer Comments: First let me premise this with previous experience with other rental homes. Usually dirty, with old sheets & towels, bare bones decor, etc. This home is what it is supposed to be like! A lovely, spacious home with a significant collection of art & thick padded area rugs, & a large kitchen with almost everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner! The only negative was that the carving knives were really good looking, but whimpy! But with all the other positives, we were able to live with that! The beds were Temperpedic & very comfortable. The linens were nice. The home was very clean. It would have been nice to have some "snow melt" available to clear the ice off the entry patio. & also to have a couple notes about how things work such as the fire place damper, television controls, etc. We really enjoyed sitting in the sun on the east side of the house in the mornings! Ari, the caretaker was available when we had questions & even helped the guys get the football station they wanted to watch! With dogs, it got pretty muddy when the snow melted & we had alot of paw cleaning as they came indoors. There is not alot of mulch or landscaping to buffer the mud. Overall, it was a really great stay! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving wonderful!

We ended up extending our stay we were so happy. Every afternoon was spent on the front porch with the grill, hot tub, and a spectacular sunset. Neighbors are not close very private. Fix the leaky fridge & the low grade shower rods.
