Casa Bella Casita / Cabin / Guest House can be rented with or without the main house. The two Taos vacation rental homes are well separated and offer a good sense of privacy from one another. Casita Bella's tree shaded deck offers a private hot tub, outdoor dining, gas grill and is perched above the "Acequia" (a stream which is part of the famous New Mexico irrigation system - recall the novel "The Milagro Beanfield War"). In addition to the shaded and private deck is a raised flagstone patio offering extended outdoor shaded living space. Although small and cozy, Casita Bella is big on value and has become "home away from home" to many repeat guests.

2nd stay at this little house.

Small space but all we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and appreciated the washer/dryer.The murphy bed was comfortable.Located a short drive from Rio Grande Gorge.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, off-the highway and minutes from skiing. We had an issue when we arrived, that was immediately resolved by the caretaker. Kudos to them for a phenomenal response. The house was generally clean and in good order; however, it could definitely use a deep clean.

Great little place near TSV

Nice little Casita perfect for 2. Murphy bed was very comfortable. Hot tub was great, but cooled off quick and struggled to recover. Great location if you are skiing at Taos Ski Valley.

Romantic Casa Bella

We were happy with our stay at Casa Bella, The community was very warm and inviting with a beautiful tub and a tennis court. Each night we had a romantic soak in the hot tub. The garage gave us a convenient way to pack for our outings.. The manager was very helpful.

Very Great Place to Stay

The place should be clean if you charge a cleaning fee

Rough start. The couch hadn't been cleaned in months (took pics and sent to housekeeper) and I told her the hot tub looked yellow. She said she shocked it and after i sent pics she changed her tune. The property manager had her come and clean the food that had accumulated in the couch for months and reshock/replace the hot tub filter. Location is good for skiing and its quite. I would not use this property if you have over 3 people, 1 on couch and 2 in the queen bed.

We tried both the clubhouse pool and the hot tub and loved it. Our son loved the pool especially.The place was clean and as described - small kitchen and even a small dining table was a big plus.

Relaxing Streamside Stay

We loved the rugs in the casita and the full-sized stove and fridge in the kitchenette. The washer and dryer came in handy and the gas stove made for cozy evenings. Everything we needed was there. The best part is the little deck over the stream under the beautiful trees. The neighbors are friendly and the subdivision is very quiet. The caretaker is super nice and very responsive. If you're a skier the casita is only a short drive from the ski mountain. We needed a place that took dogs and this was perfect.

It was a great location for access to the trails of the mountains. After a strenuous hike to Wheeler Peak tramping through snow, the HOT TUB felt fabulous!

Clean, Convenient Location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was not able to connect to the provided internet connection throughout my stay--very disappointing. Maybe I missed it in the property description, but the bed folds out of the wall, I was expecting an actual bed. Also, a few basics like a kettle and spatula weren't to be found. Location does not provide a view of the mountains, but is nestled next to a cute stream. This is a good place to stay if you're not planning to spend much time at the house, but are rather out and about exploring Taos.

Needs bare basic updates

Stayed here nearly 12 years ago murphy bed mattress was old and rough couch was outdated and you sink in, not in a good way the rugs on the walls and especially the floors were gross but we enjoyed the area so much we decided to make back for our 30th anniversary booked 7 days for over 200 a night Thinking SURELY since so many years have gone by some updates had been made and NO update has been made, same broken down mattress same dirty sinking couch, same filthy rugs. This time nothing was stocked we had A roll of toilet paper for a 7 day stay , the dish cabinet hasn't been cleaned out in awhile there was a very ancient bottle of chili tabasco that smelled so bad and stuck in the wood we cleaned it out but the smell is there. We scoured the garage for supplies and found a locked cabinet that was unlocked thank goodness. We used the toilet paper I brought from home and town isn't across the street. The hot tub was filthy and yellow we had to amend that for two days before we could use it. Thank goodness I found those supplies in the garage for that. This stay really bummed us out. We could not sleep one single night in the same bed..we switched back and forth thats a drag on your 30th anniversary vaca week you saved a year for. Sure we are a decade older and 50 but I honestly don't see how any couple of any age could get a solid night sleep in that thing. Anyway we were hoping to re-book in a couple months unfortunately we will not be returning a 3rd time. Nice area though

Review of Casita Bella

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is beautiful and is in a quiet neighborhood. There are no good restaurants in Arroyo Seco which means one must drive 20 minutes to Taos. This vacation rental needs some maintenance i.e. painting, window seals, etc. The refrigerator is very old and runs all night and often with a loud click. The only window in the studio cannot be opened as there is no screen so getting some fresh air was not possible. One of the floor lamps is broken as is one of the kitchen chairs.We slept on the couch after the first night as the Murphy bed left us both with sore backs and neither of us typically have back problems. The front door (French doors) has no latch in the bottom door jam so one swift kick would open the doors unlocked or not. Past the foyer where the laundry facilities are has another set of French doors leading to the studio apartment. Those doors do not lock and have the same problem as the outer French doors as far as anything to secure them at the threshold.Finally the TV would not work. We called the caretaker and she came right over with a handyman but he was unable to figure out what was wrong. We were there for 4 nights with no TV. Additionally the TV remote control was so crusted with food (I hope) that the buttons would not register when pushed.I would like to add that the casita also needs a good cleaning. The inside window sills had dead bugs and dirt as well as chipped paint.
