Ocean House 2804 2 bedroom 2 bath gulf-front

Ocean House #2804 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 8th floor in building II overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1000 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 2 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower.

Ocean House I and II are 9 story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23. Sleeps 6.

Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.


STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your nice condo. It was very clean and homey! We loved seeing the personal photos of your family. There are a couple of things I’d like to mention; the handicap bar in the master bath was loose and could not be used. The high frame at the bottom of the sliding door was almost tripped over going out to the balcony. Could you possibly put a sign that reads watch your step inside and outside of the sliding glass door. Thank you!

Great little condo

Condo has a great view,not to far from anything,parisaling in walking distance on beach.Only complaint I had while there was second bathroom had very little shower pressure but when I inform them they did apologize and said they would get right on it.

Should have read the details closer

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had no trouble with the building and loved the pool but were not happy with our condo. I didn’t notice when I rented that it was only a queen bed in the master. Most have a king. Not only was it small, there was no storage. We are used to empty closets to store suitcases and clothes in. These were so full we could barely get clothes on hangers in them. There was mold on the shower curtain in the 2nd bedroom and the stool had to be plunged at least once a day. We really did like the building and the pool but wouldn’t rent this unit again. We also have never paid for parking before. $30 per week and it is usually no charge.

Best experience I have ever had

From Check-In to Check-Out. This was by far the best experience I have had. I have stayed in a condo during this time for the last 10 years or so and none of them compare to this experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice rental with a good location. It was decent and fairly clean (although we did need the sheets changed our first day because there were stains). The burners on the stove don't fit or the underneath silver holders don't fit because all the burners sit at an angle. It was hard to cook. We planned on eating breakfast and lunch in the condo every day but it was challenging with the misfitting burners. I also ended up with a huge bruise on my arm because the armoire in the bedroom did not give much space between the bed and the bathroom. I kept hitting my arm on the piece of furniture which is unnecessary in my mind since it can't hold anything of the guests anyway. Overall, the place was fine we just had these few observations.

Overall a nice stay

We loved the location and view from the big balcony although the unit itself could use some updating and we found some dishes in the cabinet were dirty. We also had an issue with the elevator not working but luckily that was resolved within a few hours. Overall, a good stay and we enjoyed our beach weekend.

Girls trip

We always stay in Ocean House but I will not be back to this unit The washer leaked the dryer didn’t get hot The barstools were torn the balcony floor was badly cracked the furniture was dry rotted the master bathroom had black hair all in it you could tell the shower wasn’t clean properly the master bedroom curtains were nasty stained on the back and MOST importantly the master bedroom sliding door did not lock I was nervous the whole time with my kids

Good comfortable furniture, nice deck with good furniture and great view, kitchen well stocked (except no pizza cutter), easy pool/beach access, pretty beach (although the area in front of this condo was too narrow to allow big tents and only allowed small umbrellas...but not too far of a walk to set up the tent).

Awesome vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was pretty much like the pictures. There were a few things that needed repair but nothing that hampered our stay. It was located so close to everything. That helped a lot. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, our stay was nice. The condo was nice and what we expected from the pictures. The location was great. The pool area was nice and well kept. My only complaint would be that the lobby area and elevator had a bad odor that permeated the entire week that we were there. I'm not sure if it was an odor from the dumpster or garbage chute, but it typically smelled like a dirty diaper in the lobby. We didn't spend much time in the lobby, so not a huge issue. The building manager should probably check into that odor. Other than that, everything was nice. I would recommend staying here. So close to the beach!

Our families Fall Break vacation.

Would definitely recommend this to friends and family. We will be back in the future! The restaurants were very nice. Service was always friendly and the seafood was delicious!! Usually we go to the outlets in Foley but not get there this time. We always hit Desotos and The Steamer....food is always great.
