Surf Side Shores #1606 is a west corner gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 6th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1100 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 3 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom and the middle bedroom has an attached bathroom with stand-up shower. No sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Surf Side Shores I and II are 9 story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Surf Side Shores has two beach side pools, one of which is an extended season pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. 2 car limit. Stays longer than 30 days must purchase parking pass(s) for every month.

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo, and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Wonderful view!!

Had everything we needed. Kitchen needed some cleaning(ceiling above stove). All beds were comfortable. Condo not updated but good and view was gorgeous. Exactly what we wanted!

Great condo!

The condo was clean and in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing I would have changed is the key situation. If there was a code to open the door that would have been much better than trying to coordinate the 2 keys with the adults in our group to make sure nobody got locked out and having to keep up with who had the keys and where those people were. Overall a great trip though!

We have a baby that crawls and was dirty hands and knees as soon as we got to the room. Great views and super easy beach access. Pools were clean and very fun. There was a place in first floor to store all your wet pool toys

Good times

Overall it was cool for the price we got it for. The floor i dnt think had been mopped n months. My socks where black as night after jus the check in night til morn. It wasnt the most pleasant smell when we walked n. Carpet should really be taken out an jus tile put down.. the couch had stains on it but hey im sure we were not the only ones that stayed there with little ones. We jus put a sheet over it.. checking in an out was easy. Should b updated to keyless entry though.. keeping up with keys was a drag. But the 2 balconies were awesome.. the main balcony over lookin the gulf was huge. very short walk to the beach was nice. All n all it was a good one.

Great view but desperate need of an upgrade

Amazing view of the beach and location! Easy check in and check out process. Loved that it had 3 separate bedrooms with a bathroom in each room. Bathrooms were very clean. Seemed to have everything you would need as far as for cooking, utensils, etc. The place did what we needed it to do but probably wouldnt stay there again due to the following. Place is in desperate need of an upgrade. The couch and chairs are super old and i put sheets down in order to sit/lie down. The furniture did not look very clean at all- lots of stains etc. Also when you got out of the shower and stepped on the carpet in the bedrooms your feet would instantly become dirty. The carpet needs replaced. I also didnt like that you couldnt communicate with a live person- you had to text them.

Needs the owners attention especially after spending almost 4K for a week

Very outdated and Not taken care of. I have stayed at 2 different condos at this property and this one was horrible. First of all we had to hunt the key down at a different location. Then we noticed black mold in the condo along with very dirty carpets. The showers only point to the walls I am guessing so nobody can get water on the floors. The drains go down very slowly. The ice maker barely works and the beds were very uncomfortable with very hard pillows. This condos needs the owners attention very badly. Seems like the owners have treated this condo poorly. We spent almost 4K for one week for this condo and it was definitely not worth 1k I would not return to this condo.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall Good experience. Rental process was seamless as was contactless key pickup. The unit was clean, the property clean and the security guard was helpful. There were a few things In the unit that needed updating, the patio furniture was plastic and slightly warped, the frig older and a little rusty and the dishwasher kept pulling out of its cabinet hole when we opened the door, but all appliances did work just fine. We were missing batteries in a couple of remotes and the Dish box in the front bedroom said it didn’t have a subscription, so that TV was unusable. We did not report those things or I’m sure the rental office would have rectified it as we’ve had excellent experience with them on our last couple stays in Ocean House. I will probably choose a different unit in the future just due to those small details I mentioned.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A nice room with bedding perfect for our group. The room could definitely have been cleaner. One bedroom had boogers on the wall by the headboard and another had a dirty shower and floor. Those items aside we were relatively happy with the accommodations. We were not able to use the grills due to construction blocking the area so we had to revise out meal plans and we spent almost the whole week looking through blue masking film on the windows and balcony railing due to painting. Kind of spoiled the view that we paid extra for. I could have had a room facing the parking lot if I had known we would not be able to use the balconies for the first half of the week. The doors were taped shut from the outside. Plenty of space for the six of us. Kitchen had almost everything we needed.

The boardwalk to the sand was one level with one step down to the sand. The umbrellas were close to the boardwalk. We all could enjoy the beach!

All the appliances worked well and were clean. The negatives were that the patio lacked a table and the paint was severely pealing on the exterior. Oddly, the sheet in the master bedroom has a large rip. During rainy days, the satellite tv did not work. Therefore we enjoyed the puzzles.

Overpriced!

When you break the cost down dailey with all the added charges and taxes it comes to around 550.00 a day. The unit should be much nicer for cost. The bedspread in the bedroom was stained. No blanket between the sheet and bedspread on a cou5of the beds. No iron. The patio furniture is very dated. Only a tiny plastic side table to use on the patio. Living room furniture is old and worn. For the money, there should be updated furnishings.

Great stay

The location was great, the condo was nice. We really liked how the building was small and wasn’t over populated. We could enjoy the beach and pool without feeling over crowded. Would stay here again in the future.
