Charming Duggars Tropical Cottage

Relax among the tropical sights and sounds in this charming Duggars Tropical Village Cottage. Bright beachy décor greet you in this one bedroom one bathroom bungalow. The comforting living room features a flat screen TV, comfy pull out sleeper sofa and sliding glass doors that open to the screened in lanai. Visit delicious local restaurants or create amazing meals in the fully equipped kitchen that has been recently remodeled with granite countertops and new cabinets. The dining area provides seating for four and a large closet for storage. The master bathroom features a tiled walk in shower and bright décor. Get a great night’s sleep in the comfy master bedroom with king size bed. The screened lanai off of the living room provides a truly relaxing spot to sit back, read a book, enjoy your coffee or take a nap. World Famous West Gulf beaches are right across the street with your own private beach path. Jump on your bike and follow the bike path (located at the cottages entrance) around the islands. Kayak, bike, bird watch, view the abundant wildlife or go shopping then return to the privacy of your own beach cottage. Spend the day looking for shells then wash off in the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Getting chairs back and forth is easy with the beach cart that is provided. Onsite washer and dryer, charcoal grill, Beach Chairs, Beach Towels and Umbrella provided. Duggers Cottage #5 is the perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

Excellent stay

This place was in a great location. Easy to get to grocery store, bike rental, walking trails and the ocean. The house is very cozy, clean and felt like home. The many amenities included a king sized bed, air conditioning heating, washer/ dryer, large screen t.v., coffee maker, dishwasher, frig. lanai and outdoor shuffle board area. Excellent location!

Relaxing

This cottage is excellent for a couple with a dog. It comes equipped with chairs, umbrella, and Weber grill. The cabinet with beach toys was moved outside beyond the shower.

Cheery cottage

This was so much nicer than a generic condo. The cottage was in a quiet spot, well maintained, and had a small but functional kitchen. We hope to return.

Perfect!!!

Charming cottage: easy walk to beach, on the bike path, minutes to Bailey's General Store plus the liquor store. This is the quite side of Sanibel.

Island winter vacation

Cottage was small but spotless and everything we needed was handy. I was impressed by the quality of the cookware. We had one unexpected maintenance issue that was resolved promptly. Access to the beach was right across the street plus we rented bikes and enjoyed the many biking trails. Love it.

Perfect little beach cottage for a couple. They had beach chairs and umbrellas and a wagon to get things to the beach which was a short easy walk. 🏖😊

Sanibel Stay

We loved our little bungalow! This one was our favorite in the little community at Duggers! It was supplied with all you need for your vaca. Furniture was nice and cozy. Was a nice surprise to see a king size bed. We enjoyed bike riding around the area with so many great paths. We were able to take our little dog but due to the Red Tide she became ill when we took her to the beach..Coughing, sneezing constantly. She was even wheezing for a couple days when we kept her at the bungalow. The new grill was terrible to us, very inexpensive grill. The coffee craft was broken and I contacted the management and a new coffee craft was at my door in literaly minutes! All in all we loved our stay just will avoid Red Tide when booking next time:) .

We had a magical vacation. LOVED the cottage. Very clean, bright and has all you’ll need. Beach chairs, shell scooper, toys for kids. Short pretty walk to the beach. Absolutely recommend staying here.

Great vacation rental

We really enjoyed this little cottage. It is in a perfect location for exploring Sanibel Island. The check in process was easy and smooth. The cottage has all the amenities you need. The WiFi connection is great with no interruptions. The air conditioning works perfectly and keeps the cottage cool. You can walk across the street to access the beach. Coin operated laundry services available on site. We even had bikes available to us to explore the bike trails. Definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Cool, comfy, cottage

We stayed over the scorching 4th of July week and we were happy to have a cool, quiet, cottage to return to. The property is well placed with a short walk to a pretty beach and a short bike ride to the grocery store. The cottage had a well stocked kitchen, great working A/C and a comfy mattress topper on the king sized bed. It was myself, my husband, and our 2 teenagers, we all took turns on the pullout bed: not the most comfortable, but not the worst either. Extra linens were provided for the pullout. We were also pleased by the great wifi signal and to have a tv in the bedroom as well as the living room to keep night time tv watching civil. The outside porch had everything we needed for trips to the beach and a foldable wagon to carry it all in (thank God!). The outside shower was also great to have.The only issue we had was the the water pressure (it is co-dependant with other water outlets and other unts on property, so if its on somewhere else its not good where you are) and the linen/laundry situation. First we were only given 2 beach towels for 4 people, a quick call to Kingfisher and 2 more were delivered ASAP, (thank you!). The biggest issue was the laundry: its mentioned in property description that there is "laundry on site", "washing machine" "clothes dryer" however despite mention of 2 packs of provided laundry detergent in the check in email and property binder, there is no mention of where it is located, or that ITS A CHANGE OPERATED MACHINE. It was after hours when we decided to do laundry and after looking in every possible place within the unit, we finally asked the ppl next door who showed us where the laundry was. >a separate building with change operated machines. This would be something that should be better described in the property description. Also, for a weeks stay we were given 4 white bath towels. Now, as we are avid beach goers, we all showered 1 to 2x a day and had to wash the bath towels a couple of times during our stay. Using the same 4 beach towels and shower towels for a week isn't realistic, especially with teenagers. I wouldn't have minded doing laundry at all, except its 4 bucks a pop in quarters for each load, and when you leave you are instructed to run the beach towels in the washer before you depart. Other than the above mentioned we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable in the unit.

Perfect for our vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It was so close to the beach, we had privacy, and the house was fully stocked with everything we needed! We loved that there was a beach cart for us to take back and forth. Loved everything about our stay and trip all together!

Cute and convenient

Cottage was clean and cute and stocked with most of what we needed. The beach was a five minute walk. Groceries a five minute drive.

Charming Cottage- Everything we needed in a vaca

We found this cottage to be comfortable, clean and a great location. Its right across the street from the beach path that is about a 3 min walk to the sand. We went to the beach nightly for sunsets. We rented bikes and rode around the island to shops and restaurants. Its really the perfect location. The interior was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the lanai off of the living-room. The bed was comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and we will return.

The cottage helped my husband and I have a relaxing and memorable visit to Sanibel Island.

The privacy of the cozy cottage is what my husband and I were wanting, and the short walk to the beach was like a tropical private entrance for us. The kitchen was stocked with enough dishes and items so that we could make meals as we wanted. The cottage was neat and tidy with just enough furniture and amenities for our needs. We really enjoyed the outside shower, and the cable tv and wifi complemented our evenings. We had a wonderful time at the cottage and made many wonderful memories in Sanibel!

Very quaint, comfortable, clean, and accommodating.

Everything was great except red tide was very bad in Sanibel where we stayed and kept us off beach at least three days, as it effected the grandkids and wife with eyes watering and chronic coughs. Had I known about red tide I would have changed the vacation. The property Duggers was excellent.
