The Beach House is a luxury 3.5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths located in the lovely gated and child-friendly Palm Cay Resort.

Palm Cay, Bahamas is an exclusive gated community with fabulous private white sand beaches, a chic marina, tennis courts, swimming pool, kids playground, a Clubhouse restaurant, café and more. Secure and exclusive, it is one of the most sought after resorts in both Nassau and the Caribbean.

The Beach-House is on a prime beachfront location, nothing short of world class. From turquoise to pink, the ever-changing colors of the sea and sky form the perfect backdrop for a truly relaxing vacation. The beach and ocean are literally on your doorstep, just open the terrace door and you’re there - go for a swim or a stroll along the private shoreline smiling to yourself how well you chose!

The Beach-House has three floors. The décor is simple and clean. The property has an elegant uncluttered aesthetic. It is fully equipped with everything you may need from high-speed Internet/wifi to beach towels.

The ground floor has a beautiful furnished deck and patio directly on the beach with palm trees providing shade. The adjacent living-room and gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar have an open plan layout filled with natural light.

The bedrooms are all very comfortable. On the first floor, the Master Bedroom is spacious and bright with an ensuite marble bathroom and ample closets. It has it’s own terrace for catching sensational sea views with a little breeze thrown in. Also on the first floor, there is another roomy bedroom with two single beds and ensuite marble bathroom and closet space.

The entire top floor is open plan, featuring one extra-large bedroom with two sections. Facing the sea, a king-size bed is next to a small balcony with gorgeous sea views. At the other end of this floor there are two single beds and a walk-in closet. These two sections are divided by a marble ensuite bathroom with a passage adjoining the two.

On the ground floor, there are comfy sofas, cable tv and yet more fantastic views across the deck. The dining area seats eight. The well-equipped gourmet kitchen has a large refrigerator with icemaker, toaster, drip coffee-maker, dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer. Of course, the entire Beach-House is fully equipped with air-conditioning and wood floors throughout.

The Beach-House has access to a swimming pool, just on the right next to the building and within earshot and eyeshot of the beach. Spend your days relaxing on a manicured kid-friendly white sand beach on a luxurious chaise with iced drinks - while hardly lifting a finger!

On the left hand side of the beach, in a smaller area there is a Beach Club which is a private independent company, the Beach Club is NOT included into this rental.

Information about the Palm Cay Beach Club:

During your stay at the Starfish Isles Beach Units, you'll have exclusive access to the Starfish Beach and Beach Pool, specifically reserved for guests of these units. Additionally, our beach house provides you with your own beach sunbeds.

All other amenities, whether complimentary or paid, are available at Palm Cay. The "Beach Club" is a separate entity operated by a different company. It includes a pool and cabanas in a small area of the resort, primarily intended for guests of units without direct beach access, which is not your situation.

Additional services like the beach restaurant, marina café, and SPA are accessible by paying for the respective services.

In summary, the Beach Club is not included in your package and is not accessible to you. Moreover, given your direct access to the beach and beach pool, paying an additional fee, estimated around $150 USD per person per day, wouldn't be practical.

This property is very nice and clean. The owner and property manager are very attentive to your needs. The gem of this property is the backyard which sits directly on the beach just steps away from the ocean. It’s very private and secluded. I highly recommend this rental.

Great place right on a stunningly beautiful beach. Comfortable beds, nice layout and clean. Host representative was very attentive to any questions. Grocery store close by and the restaurant at the property is quite good. Very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect place if you are looking for beach relaxation.

Amazing beachfront condo

This condo was simply amazing! The ocean was about 50 steps outside our sliding glass door! The condo was modern, decorated very tastefully, and the beds were super comfortable!

Palm Cay Beachfront Rental

We had an amazing stay at Palm Cay. After going to other locations while in the Bahamas, we realized that this area is truly like having a private beach! If you are looking for an area for a family vacation, I would highly recommend this area! The unit was clean, beds were very comfortable, and the walk out patio on the beach was amazing!! I cannot say enough about that view! We also chartered a private boat at the marina and went to Rose Island. That is a definite must!! The beach there by the restaurant and bar is like a postcard. A terrific trip overall!!

Christmas Family Reunion

Christmas Vacation 7 days. We had stayed at Palm Cay in 2018. The resort is very lovely, and the villa accommodated nine people. The location is on the southeast side of the island with less traffic. To be able to walk right out from the family room door to the beach and ocean was perfect. The communication with the owner of this unit/villa was a little troubling because we felt he had perhaps had a bad experience with previous guests. He kept emphasizing his house rules after we assured him we would take good care of the property as we too had been property owners in Palm Desert, CA. and understood his concerns.The unit/villa was clean but sparsely supplied with some expected items such as dishwasher soap etc. Lounge chairs on the deck were plentiful but uncomfortable. However, the location was beautiful, and we had a wonderful family reunion with our children and grandchildren.

Serenity at the Beach

We had a wonderful week at Palm Cay. The beach house was everything and more!! Located directly on the beach it was so serene. The property itself was beautiful and pristine, a lot of steps but you quickly get used to it. The pool was right next door, we visited the Pink Octopus restaurant which was truly outstanding, The supermarket was literally about 5 minutes away. The liquor store that we chose to use was called The Wok and that was on John F. Kennedy Blvd which was about 8 minutes away, great prices but if you don't have a vehicle then your best bet would be to order from the Flying Dutchman as they deliver. What you see is what you get the pictures are spot on and of course even better in person. Andrea the manager was so nice she came and explained everything to us and left no stone unturned. We absolutely love, love, loved this property. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Joseph for Hosting us at your beautiful home.

Beautiful property, messy check in.

We arrived on time but it was very unclear how to check in, where to get keys, and even where the unit was located. The third floor was locked and we had a hard time finding someone to unlock it. They asked us to remove trash but provided no trash bags. The kitchen was not well equipped to handle cooking for 8. All in all, a beautiful property that is not very well managed.

Great family get away - kids loved the beach

Palm cay was a perfect place for a relaxing getaway. I admit I was hesitant on renting a home in another country but it was just as described. During our stay I think we only saw 4 other people on the beach, felt like we had it to ourselves. The house was great there are minimal cooking utensils but I couldn't complain we made it work. We used Colette for all of our transportation- she was great!! I don't think I would have been able to navigate on our own. We communicated with Colette in advance so we would have a general idea of how much we would need to pay her. The house had way more than I expected, i was told we needed to pack beach towels and the basics like toilet paper, garbage bags, but most of it was already there. I assume it just depends on what the previous renter left in the house. We had 4 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. Kids found star fish and Conch shells when snorkeling in front of the house. We would love to travel back someday.

Disappointing for the price

Overall things could have been a lot better at the property. Check in process was not clear or smooth — the neighbor had to let us in while we tried to find where the key was, and every contact number listed for the property no longer worked there. House was not stocked with toilet paper, towels or any basics, which we had to request. It rained while we were there and the second story master bedroom leaks really bad, the drain on the third floor balcony was clogged so it nearly flooded the interior. Overall, very disappointed in the value for money!

Veri Nice but needs a few things

We had 7 people staying in Joseph's place for 5 nights in March. Overall, the condo was exactly as described- new, clean and comfortably sleeps 8 people. The view was terrific and the beach is very clean and beautiful. A great marina next door provided lots of pretty boats to look at. A couple of things which can be improved and could be an issue later: - If you are going to rent a condo which sleeps 8, you need interior seating for 8, not 6 as it currently provides. There is one chair, one love seat and one couch so 2 people are left in kitchen chairs or standing. The same is the case as the dinner table. - There need to be at least 4 lounge chairs. Currently there are 4 mismatched plastic chairs and no lounge chairs. The communal seating area is close but has maybe 10 chairs so they go fast. The pool has only 5 chairs total. - The cooking utensils are limited at best. We had to strain pasta in the steamer and cooking and preparation utensils are almost non-existent - We were fortunate enough to stay there when maybe 20 of the several hundred condos/houses are occupied. The tiny restaurant and minimal seating will be hard pressed to accommodate even a fraction of what the entire complex could hold We had a few appliance issues which Joseph did not respond to but our cleaning lady was terrific in getting resolved. If thee issues above are addressed, we would recommend staying here within the next year but would be concerned once the complex fills up.

Beautiful property right on the beach

Joseph's townhouse is gorgeous - it is clean, neat, and comfortable. It is literally steps from the beach. The view is breathtaking and it's wonderful to hear the waves at night. It is also steps from the swimming pool. We used the paddle board that was available to residents, and I saw other people take out a kayak. The condo is very spacious and could comfortably sleep 8 people. As others have mentioned, there are not a lot of cooking items, so if you plan to cook you have to improvise a bit. Some things that would have been helpful to know in advance: there were 5 beach towels available for use. It is in a fairly remote area - it takes about 20 minutes to drive to Downtown Nassau or Paradise Island, and longer during rush hour in the morning. (Leave plenty of time if you are going on a tour or catching a boat. It took us about 45 minutes one morning to get from the resort to Paradise Island and we were a bit worried we were going to miss the boat.) Most restaurants are in Downtown Nassau or Paradise Island, so if you like to be where there are eateries, etc it is not an ideal location. There is a restaurant on site, but it was only open for dinner and the menu was very limited (grilled chicken, salads, or burgers). Also there is a small cafe at the resort, which we didn't find until the last day of our stay. They serve breakfast sandwiches, coffee and some deli lunch sandwiches. The closest grocery we could find was about 8 minutes away, but was well stocked and had everything you could need. It would be helpful if Joseph/ staff provided a document upon arrival that listed address/directions to closest grocery stores and food options nearby, so tired travelers can find there way a bit more easily in a new location. Overall, it was a great vacation - very private beach, very relaxing.

5 STAR PRIVATE BEACH EXPERIENCE!!!!

Joseph thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful vacation home for our Girlfriend Getaway. The views are spectacular from the home. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. This beach house is truly a home away from home. We were there in the midst of Tropical Storm Erika. Thankfully, she ventured onward with just a few winds, thunder and showers. The security staff were impeccable and checked on us daily to ensure we were OK! Colette provided excellent transportation service upon our arrival, and when she wasn't available for our excursions she connected us with James to transport us. Both of them were extremely supportive to all our needs. The clubhouse food is fresh and delicious! Our server Lee was the kindest young man. He did whatever he could to accommodate our request. We miss Palm Cay 204 already and can't wait to get back there! A few suggestions for future renters. The home is a little far and public transportation isn't an option. If you plan to visit downtown and enjoy the island cuisine at the Fish Fry a few times, getting a rental car would be ideal. Round trip taxi's a few times can be a bit costly. It would have been even more enjoyable to sit on the balcony and watch the waves. So if you could provide a few fold up balcony chairs to be stored in the laundry area, that would be nice. To make your future guest stay even more comfortable, please provide a sufficient amount of wash cloths and beach towels. Please also ensure the housekeeper leaves an adequate amount of trash bags to be utilized throughout the stay. Small ant traps, or ant spray would also minimize the amount of ants on the counter tops. All in all we truly loved our time there. Thank you!!!

Palm Cay #204

It's been one week since we rented Joseph's home in Palm Cay (from 7/4 to 7/11) and we miss it already. If you are looking for a secluded getaway with breathtaking views, the ocean literally at your back door and perhaps the nicest beach on Nassau then this is it. There are perhaps only a 1/2 dozen units at Palm Cay that are completed, including Joseph's, so excluding the Marina we at times felt that we had the entire community to ourselves. The major positives of our stay were the beautiful beach that you walked into 30 ft from the rear of the property (we were told that the developers spent $1.6mm building the beach and it shows!) and the beautiful pool right next door to our building, as well as all the people at Palm Cay from the security staff to Demaro (the Marina manager) and Clara (our local property manager) as well as Colette and Kendall who provided much of our transportation during the week. All provided great service and went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Some of the other reviews have described the issues with Joseph's home which we found relatively minor but others may not, especially for extended stays. These include some fit and finish aspects (unfinished drywall/spackling in some of the bathrooms) and minimal furnishings from the furniture and televisions (only 1) to cooking items and utensils (no mixing bowls or frying pans which we purchased and left for other guests). While at the property we had the chance to tour the Palm Cay model home, which is simply gorgeous!, so I'm sure such easily addressed issues with Joseph's home will improve over time. The only other item to mention is that Palm Cay is on the east end of Nassau, fairly remote from downtown or Paradise Island so cab rides can get expensive (If you're not scared off by driving the 'other side of the road' then I would recommend renting a car!) and infrastructure is still developing (we lost power 3 times during the week). Despite the minor issues, we really enjoyed our stay at Palm Cay

Fabulous View, Underwhelming Amenties

Just let me state right at the beginning, that we traveled with friends of ours and spent 4 hours in their condo before being able to enter ours. Because we had this 1st impression, we were excited to see our unit. WOW, how disappointed we were. The view itself was great, same as we saw in our friends unit- but the accommodations, let’s just say sparse. The furnishings seems to be of a garage sale quality. My kids didn’t want to sit on the furniture in the great room, which was slightly dingy and sticky from what I would guess, sweat and sunscreen. Then, in the kitchen, again , a very lackluster array of utensils and supplies. Especially, the dirty sauté pans (appeared to be dried eggs) or the sheet pan left in the oven with crumbs from some previous renter - as my kids said - gross. Then upstairs - lets just say, I had more and better furniture and beds in college. The mattresses were just ok, however, the bed frames were loose and noisy- so, every time you turn, you and your partner were awakened. And finally, the most frustrating part of the visit was the lack of refinement with the bathrooms. There were no towels or washcloths assigned to each bath. We had to search for the towels and found them spread throughout the closets and laundry basket. This was the epitome of garage sale items, all mismatched and of very poor quality and condition. We also found used small bars of soap in 2 bathrooms, no dish soap for handwashing dishes and had to ask the property manager to come back and put toilet paper in the 3 of the bathrooms. ( Which, he went into a locked room to retrieve and didn’t leave any extra in case we ran out.) We did enjoy our time in The Bahamas because we spent 90% of our time in our freinds condo or out enjoying the sights. We write this review with the hopes of adding constructive suggestions to the owner. He was very responsive to our messages. But, when someone spends a couple thousand dollars and takes his family on fall break to a resort area, you expect some semblance of ‘resort’. Matching towels, pre-positioned in the bathrooms - at least some soap dispensers for handwashing and dishes and utensils that make you feel like you’re vacationing at a resort, in a resort - not visiting your families 1 room cabin.

5+ Stars for the location and view, but not for the interior

We booked this place only about one month in advance of the holidays, and were fortunate to find a beachfront location. This location is truly fantastic! Photos showing just a few steps out to the sand and water are accurate. The Palm Cay development is wonderful- turquoise water, soft sand, friendly staff, safe. I would absolutely return to Palm Cay. However, I am unlikely to rent this particular condo again unless the interior is improved. The bones of this place are good, and it's clean. It's spacious. Having 3 ensuite bathrooms plus a first floor half bath is great. I agree with previous reviews saying that the furniture and decor are in great need of improvement. Couches are uncomfortable and low quality, as is the rest of the living area furniture, except perhaps the dining table. Lamps and lighting throughout are scarce, so that you mostly have overhead lighting only. Honestly have never been in bathrooms with granite countertops but no lights over the mirrors-the only light comes from a small overhead fixture! Really odd. Master bedroom is spartan but ok, but the other bedrooms are lacking nightstands and some lamps. Literally nothing on the bedroom walls, no decor whatsoever. Random small canvas prints scattered on the living area walls. I'm hopeful that the new management team will be able to make improvements.They are energetic, very responsive, but had only just started with this rental unit. Wishing them luck! Some basic kitchen improvements needed for example-baking sheets, sharp knives, steak knives, scissors, more glasses, and anchoring the dishwasher. A third floor electrical problem was not resolved during our stay- many of the outlets were nonfunctional.The hard plastic beach loungers need pads to be at all comfortable. The charcoal grill is small and must be moved from an awkward storage area for use. The towels are ancient, almost all are well past due for replacement. I could go on, but you get the idea. The owner says they're keeping the price low, but it's a false economy. Why spend money only to be uncomfortable and unable to fully relax when inside your vacation rental? People renting units near us had paid similar or just slightly more, and some of their gorgeous condos included the price of membership in the Palm Cay pool club (was $250 extra for the week for us - has a nice bar and food service and comfy loungers around pool and on beach). Next time I’ll check for neighboring rentals instead.

Be aware - this place is not worth it

Let me start that the property manager Vernea was the only good thing about this place. She clearly isn’t responsible for all the short comings over this run down condo. We had rented a total of three places in the complex so it was hard to see how disgusting our place was compared to the other two. We were a family of 8 with one toddler. 1. The Roaches.. were everywhere in the kitchen. We had to ensure no food was left anywhere outside of the fridge. They were crawling in the dishwasher, under the oven, in the cabinets. It was disgusting. We were brought bug spray but that was it. The ants were just as big of a problem but the roaches by far grossed us all out. 2. Master bedroom leaks massively from the ceiling when it rains – we had to put down several towels to soak up the all the water. You can tell this has been a long problem since the wood floors have a lot of water damage. 3. Lack of cutlery, plates, pots/pans etc for a condo who is to support 8+ people. We had to go to the store to buy paper plates and cutlery for our family for the week. 4. The décor and furniture is so old and worn it felt like a frat house. 5. The master balcony furniture consists of two cheap plastic chairs next to the rotting railing. 6. Master bedroom only had to panel curtains – asked for more to be purchased and brought over but that did not happen. So clearly there is no black out for the early mornings. 7. Toaster didn’t work and coffee pot worked occasionally (so old and gross other condos had Keurigs). 8. Water pump went out and we were brought a hand pump. Also meant we were also out of ice so had to go and purchase ice for our drinks 9. Blender leaks at the bottom and is on its last legs. 10. No hose for washing the extremely small deck from sand. 11. Front door is rotting wood on the bottom as well as the master deck railing Other properties we rented provided hoses, floats, toy boxes for kids, Keurig’s, nice towels, stable Wifi, 4 barstools instead of two that you get at this condo, rugs etc. for the same or similar price. Overall skip this place. There are clearly others in this complex that have put time and money in there properties to make them nice and warm and inviting, and don't have a roach and ant problem.

Palm Cay Beach

Our host (Vernae) was quick to respond to any needs/questions we had while on property. The Property: Overall was quiet with the buildings spread out so you are not on top of everyone. The pool is a few steps away and the kids really enjoyed the Cafe for ice cream and snacks. Things of note. This unit and Palm Cay in general are on the other side of the island away from the normal tourist attractions. You will want to stop at the grocery store on the way from the airport and get anything you think you might want. The grocery stores were stocked well with plenty of options that you would normally find at home. Transportation was easy with the contact (Colette) given by the owner, and I highly recommend using her service as the driving is a bit crazy. The Unit: We found most essentials were in the unit (Trash bags, beach towels, dish and laundry soaps, etc.) We cooked most meals and there was plenty of kitchen pots/pans to accommodate our needs. It was great to have a charcoal grill on site. There were plenty of beach chairs, floats to accommodate our group of 9. The layout is great for 2 families or just larger groups in general. First floor is kitchen, living room and beach access. 2nd floor is Master and additional room w/en suite. 3rd floor has 3 twins on one side and a double on the other split by the bathroom. The Beach: This is what you came for. The pictures don’t do it justice. You literally walk right out of the unit onto the beach. We are a beach vacation family and have been to a slew of beaches in the US and abroad. The water was clear, warm, and everyone had a great time snorkeling in the coves. We played all sorts of games on the beach. Even when the wind was higher it was still very enjoyable. Other Reviews: I feel it necessary to respond to a few things that negatively affect this owner’s unit. This is a beachfront unit. Weathering and corrosion will happen. . I found the unit to be in normal wear for the age and you can tell they have addressed any ongoing or regular maintenance issues. We didn’t experience any water leaks, backups, etc. Check-in/out was simple. Summary: This is a great beachfront unit. For the price it is exceptional. Renters should be aware that booking on this side of the island is more DIY vacation than resort style. However, the Owner and Host were more than helpful to accommodate any needs.

Needs some TLC

The location was really nice and the private beach lovely. The property was clean but not well maintained. There was water damage that had not been repaired which included some visible mold. Old, damaged inflatable floats for the water were shoved in a corner of the patio. There was one single plastic chair on each of the two balconies. The towels were thin and in poor condition - some were even frayed. There were no inside rugs near either of the doors. One of the beds was missing the headboard, though the cleat to hold it was still on the wall. The hair dryer was missing and the fresh water bottle connected to the refrigerator was empty. (These got taken care of by the property manager.) Cabinet hardware in the bathrooms was rusted. There was water leaking in through 2 of the sliding glass doors during a heavy rain. The condition of the floor near these doors shows that wasn't a new issue. The kitchen was barely equipped and there were really no nice touches anywhere in the house. It's obvious this was purchased solely to rent out. It would take some obvious repair work and then a little attention to detail on the living spaces to make this the property it should have been. Lots of stairs to navigate to bedroooms - be aware.

Property is as described by owner and past visitors. We spent most our time outside and loved it!

The Palm Cay complex is very beautiful, quiet, convenient, and relaxing. The property was as pictured/described, and past comments RE limited of towels, blankets, and supplies is accurate. The water is very clean and only a few steps from the patio. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Island paradise

Although the island was breath taking the accommodations were much less than expected. From the time we arrived to the time we left something was breaking: outdoor furniture, cabinet doors, shower rods to name a few. Beach towels were nonexistent. Kitchen was very sparsely stocked including only 2 kitchen towels. The third floor bathroom water could be heard dripping on to ceiling of the second floor bathroom despite valiant efforts to contain the water. Only a hose bib without a hose was available outside to rinse off after swimming. Even the neighbors, whom lived there 6 months of the year, commented on how poorly this property was maintained. So based on these findings it is DOUBTFUL I will return to this property. So sad…just a few fixes could make this property a place that people would want to stay.

Absolute paradise!!!!!

Joseph's unit at Palm Cay was the perfect spot for our vacation! We were a family of 6 (all adults) and there was more than enough room for all of us. The unit itself was very clean and provided everything you would need to relax at the beach. There were plenty of linens, dishes, cookware and utensils. The only thing we needed to provide were personal items (bath products, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). There was even a charcoal grill for our use. The entire back wall of the unit is a sliding glass door that looks out to the private beach and the ocean which is literally steps from the door! The master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the beach and ocean with spectacular sunrises every morning! The beach is pristine and very quiet - even though most of the units were occupied. We snorkeled several times and saw lots of fish along the breakwater walls. When we wanted to venture to other parts of the island, we used Colette since she was recommended by Joseph. She was wonderful and gave us some great ideas for the best Bahamian cooking in Nassau! It was like having our own personal tour guide. By the time we left, I felt that we had made a friend for life with Colette! I honestly can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back as soon as we are able to!! Again, it was absolute paradise!

House very clean and nicely equipt. Most beautiful view I saw in my life if you open the door of your livingroom. I stay only 3 days but feel relaxed like 2 weeks. Thank you so much Joseph!!!
