Experience the magic of The Roseate House at Grassy Key, a resort-style retreat where every detail is designed for delight. Unwind in the custom, beach-entry pool that begins right under the home or gather in the incredible out living area. Poolside, this s[ace features a cozy fireplace, flat-screen TV and stylish furnishings. with private raised sand beach, this property is the perfect backdrop for romance or creating cherished family vacation memories. The minimum age requirement is waived for the party of two newlyweds.

The home is a three bedroom, two bath Key West style stilt home with wrap around deck and french doors that rim most of the house affording stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico from the dining, living, sitting areas and kitchen. The master bedroom with porch and outdoor sitting area has a south pacific flare in its decor and a king size bed. An eclectic shower and bath are en suite with access to the back porch. A large guest room with queen size bed, french doors and porch with sitting area is whimsically decorated with driftwood style furnishings and a typical South Florida motif. A beautiful second bathroom is also located on the main level of the home next to the laundry closet with new front loading washer and stack dryer. A spiral staircase leads to the loft where there is another bedroom with two twin beds designed and decorated to appeal to the juvenile or teen traveler. All bedding is sumptuous cotton 600 ct. thread count or greater.

The dining, living, sitting areas and kitchen are all open to one another and on the water. The kitchen takes center stage and is slightly elevated from the other areas. It is a brand new kitchen from the ground up with top of the line appliances, cabinets and hardware. Even the most avid chef will be impressed with the fully equipped kitchen and taken back by the intoxicating views. You can expect to find an extensive array of spices, oils and other condiments for guest use. The surrounding living areas are decorated with an eclectic and vintage touch in colors of aqua, coral, yellow and white washed taupe.

The wrap around deck is furnished with upscale Woodard outdoor furniture. Take a nap in the ultra comfortable chaise lounges while you listen to the sway of the palms. Enjoy a meal or family game around the custom outdoor dining set with hand laid mosaic tabletop.

Downstairs is where you will most likely spend most of your time. An outdoor living area has been created under the house with bamboo vaulted ceiling and cove lighting and Leonardo french tumbled marble on the floor and continuing out and around the pool making up the pool deck. The area can be enjoyed in most weather. A 55' flat screen hangs above the outdoor bar. You can watch your favorite show from any of the sitting areas under the house. Besides the bar with stools, there is an area with two oversized chairs and oversized ottomans around the gas fire pit. There is also a great table with incredibly comfortable chairs by Gloster that is perfect for dining, chatting, or playing games.

The beach entry of the swimming pool begins under the house also. This is a very shallow area of the pool ideal for small children or those who do not like climbing the traditional pool ladders to get in and out. This area is shaded at all times as it is covered...again making it ideal for children or those who would just like to dip their feet without sitting in the sun. We did not; however, forget you sun worshipers. You will find a submerged sun ledge on one end of the resort style pool where you can enjoy the comfortable Frontgate loungers and soak up some rays. The other end of the pool has a deep end with sitting bench and oversized spa. The marble pool deck is rimmed with planters that are home to beautiful birds of paradise plants and also house the gas tiki torches that make the evenings extra special...along with the stars, of course. Just beyond the pool deck is the sand beach, coral seawall and dock. Watch the seasonal summer sunsets from any of these areas for a real treat!

The dock is equipped with fresh water, electricity, fish cleaning table, bench and dolphin poles for boat tie out. Many times manatees have been sighted under the dock. It is possible to catch all kinds of fish from the dock. Guests have even caught tarpon and cobia off the dock! Watching the fish attracted to the underwater fish lights in the evening makes you feel like you are part of a huge backyard aquarium.

The home offers two kayaks and two SUP's for your enjoyment. We have an excellent shoreline for snorkeling and kayaking. The Gulf is accessed by a couple of coral steps that descend into the water through the coral seawall or ladder on the dock. There is a wonderful bay approximately 6 houses to the west where you can see all kinds of wildlife including sea turtles at times from your kayak.

The landscape is mature, very lush, and tropical. There are more than 80 species of plants, flowers and trees on the property. Enjoy the intoxicating scents of night blooming jasmine, orange and grapefruit trees, allspice trees and rum bay plants at various times of the year.

This home offers a MOSQUITO ABATEMENT SYSTEM around the entire property making mosquitos and noseeums almost nonexistent. This is a state of the art system that is not harmful to people or animals....just mosquitos, noseeums and other insects.

The entire property is smoke free both inside and out. There is a maximum occupancy of 6 and is strictly enforced. Please, no more than 4 adults over the age of 21 unless you are prior guests invited back or apply for special consideration. 4 adults and 2 children is fine. NOTE: We are unable to accommodate weddings and parties. There are no exceptions. Third Party Rentals Not Accepted. Sorry no pets.

NOTE: Off Season pricing is due to just that....off season. It can mean a number of things, season slow down, more chance for inclement weather (heat, rain, cold, humidity, sea grass with north winds, etc.) These are conditions that are not within my control. Also, the mosquito system minimizes the no see ums but it does not totally get rid of them. Only my homes offer this amenity. I can assure you that the bugs are much worse on those properties without the system.

NOTE: The pool will only heat 10 degrees above ambient temperature which means if the wind is coming in and the temps have dipped into the 50's or 60's during the winter, the pool will not be able to maintain 90 degrees. That is the way it is with all the pools.
