Adorable Block Island Cottage with Pond

(We DO NOT list this property on Craig’s List) This island cottage has a nice deck with patio furniture for outdoor dining, sunbathing or enjoying the beautiful sunsets. You enter from the deck into an open living/kitchen/dining area. Lots of windows make this cottage sunny & airy. There is a fully equipped galley kitchen with stove, fridge,
microwave & coffee maker & a Keurig machine. There is a pull-out couch, tv, small table & chairs for dining. The bathroom is on this level & has a skylight & tiled shower. The spacious bedroom with a queen size bed is on the lower level with white tiled floors & 4 windows that provide plenty of light & air. There is a split unit that provides heat/air conditioning and a dehumidifier for temperature control.This cottage is perfect for 2-3 people.
***New reservations for the following season are accepted beginning November 1. ***Weekly rentals are required during the summer season (late June thru early September). 2 nite minimum required off season.

The cottage is located in a fantastic location. We enjoyed being near a pond and even took a few casts. The host was super nice and kept in touch frequently, sharing all the important details before the trip. Bringing our car was a must since it's a bit tucked away from the main part of town, but honestly, I really liked that. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

Great location on Block.

We enjoyed our stay at the Foc'sle. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. It had been about 39 years since I was last on Block Island. It was a great stay!

Our stay at the cottage was set up for success with early and clear communication from our host. The rental contract and expectations were outlined from the beginning, ensuring we arrived for our stay with all needed items (e.g. linens, towels, extra paper products, etc.). The cottage was very tidy and equipped with everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. I had previously asked about certain cooking items and our host made sure that the needed cookware was present upon arrival. Despite cold and windy conditions during our visit to Block Island, we were snug and warm the whole time. A car is essential for this location, walking in to town takes about 45 brisk minutes. All the information about the ferry and navigating the island was provided by the host. We had a lovely holiday here and highly recommend staying at the cottage!

Wonderful getaway

My wife and I had a great stay with our baby at Karen and Glenn’s adorable cottage. Such a relaxing and magical setting in a quiet and peaceful part of Block Island but still walking distance from New Harbor. We loved being right next to the pond and our baby enjoyed lying on a blanket in front of it watching the little turtles swim around.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time at Karen’s cottage. The location was great and the grounds were peaceful. It was a perfect place for my husband, young daughter and I for a long weekend. We hope to come back again soon.

I came to Block Island for the wedding of a URI college friend. This cottage was affordable compared to any hotel. It has everything a single guy or couple could need. Originally planned 2 nights but it ended up being 6 due to the ferries being closed. The pond out back is not in the ad but it was great to bring my chair out there and relax on a private beach that was warm and still in October. I was able to cook a few meals at home and the kitchen was well-equipped. Theres a k-cup coffee maker so bring k-cups! Bringing a vehicle to the island is highly recommended and theres a nice driveway at this rental. Great place to stay for Block Island Race week, weddings or vacation. Can be rented with a larger cottage on the property. The host was great!I don’t know when I’ll be back but I will return.

Block island get away

Great location. Close to restaurants and water sports. Beautiful deck. Would be a bit tight if the weather wasn’t good, but we had a perfect summer stay!

Lovely little place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Foc'sle cottage. It's well equipped, we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage is optimally positioned on the property as well as perfectly located on the island. Not too far from town.

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

Great little cottage with views of the pond and ocean from the deck. 10 minute bike ride to great beaches, restaurants and the center of town. Very simple, but has everything you need for a cozy stay.

Great little spot on a great little island

I believe this was our 4th time staying here and we already booked for next year. Perfect spot for 2 people. Small but cozy. Very good location on the island. Close to The Oar. The deck is a nice spot to relax after a day at the beach or hiking trails.

A cottage built for two

The location with the large pond was very picturesque and the pond is perfect for fishing in my opinion. The accommodations are large enough for a couple and the on demand hot water is more than adequate. The only down side was the well pump was rather loud and I prefer a gas grill rather than a charcoal grill for quick, eat in meals.

Cozy lovely cottage

The house was so cozy and cute! The views of the ponds front and back were so lovely. Nice privacy surrounding this cottage. Much nicer then just a hotel "room"!! A perfect location and everything we needed was there for a very comfortable stay. Karen was helpful with anything we needed!

Lovely Cottage

We had an enjoyable stay. The cottage was clean and cozy. Exactly what we needed to get away. It was central to all of the sites we wanted to see. It was our first visit to Block Island. What a beautiful haven away from commercialization. Look forward to returning. Mark & Racheal Houghton
