Camp Kinderhook Lake House

This house is on a quiet cove on Kinderhook lake. It has been newly renovated within the past two years. And has a great old time camp feel. There is one full bedrooms on the main floor, Downstairs there are also two bedrooms; one with two twin beds and the other with two bunk beds. 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs, one downstairs. This house is about a scenic 2 hour drive from NYC, and about 30 minutes from Albany.Prefect for a weekend getaway. In the winter, nearby Jiminy Peak and Catamount make for a perfect opportunity to ski or snowboard. The house has a full kitchen, and living room. Outside, there is an upper and lower deck, perfect for barbecues and summer fun. Nearby are villages Chatham and Hudson, perfect for antiquing and exploring, with lots of great places to eat. Possible summer activities include kayaking, fishing,hiking and golfing. Good for families looking for a relaxing vacation. Come enjoy all the Hudson Valley has to offer!

Super comfy, well-appointed cottage! It had more kitchen supplies and games than any other property where I have stayed. It is a cook’s delight. The kayaks were great, and beach towels are supplied! I fell in love with the cottage, really.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Owners were great with communication! Description doesn’t do it any justice! Highly recommend staying here when you come to Kinderhook!

More than meets the eye!

We would definitely recommend this Lakeside house to anyone looking forward to some peace, quiet, and beautiful views. The house is fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need and we look forward to our next stay at camp Kinderhook!

Beautiful weekend at Camp Kinderhook

We had a good experience. The house came as advertised. Comfortable, well appointed and situated on a picturesque part of the lake. Despite it being late October, we spent a lot of time enjoying the nice decks. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re coming back to the area.

A peaceful, beautiful stay on the lake

This was our fourth summer spending time at John and Regina's beautiful lake house. As our daughters have gotten older (now 5.5 and almost 9) they've learned to kayak and paddle board here. We love this house and will keep coming back as long as we can. Thanks again for a great stay :)

House is beautiful and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is available. On a beautiful lake in a beautiful area of NY Owners John And Regina are very responsive. 4 BR 2Bath. Outside decks Kayaks and paddle boards. Best deal.

Wonderful cottage and lakeshore experience

Even better than we expected. A very clean and well-appointed cabin. We were a group of six- two couples and two college age children. Spacious for us all to be very comfortable. We grilled on the charcoal grill and cooked all our meals at home - wonderful kitchen. The outdoor decks and kayaks and paddle boards afforded nice outdoor activities.

Best lake house!

Such a beautiful home! My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and the two decks are so nice to hang out on playing card games and watching the sunset. The kayaks and paddle board are also really fun. This was the second time staying at this home and we love it so much. The hosts were very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late allowing us to make the most of our stay. Definitely recommend this home and hope we get the opportunity to come again next year!

Breakfast out on the deck, with a view of the lake

We had a lovely stay in this house and thoroughly enjoyed the location next to the lake, especially having breakfast on the deck. The house is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. However, if you are sensitive to smells, you might find the scent of moisture in the house to be a concern. It is most noticeable in the cellar but can be detected throughout the house. If this is not a significant issue for you, then this place is truly wonderful!

Great Stay on Kinderhook Lake!

The house was fantastic. Honestly better than the pictures. Also one of the most well appointed short term rentals I've stayed in. If you needed it, it was there. If it wasnt, you should have packed it yourself. We temporarily misplaced the key to the house. John was incredibly responsive and had a spare sent over by the cleaning person. this is one of the few properties I've stayed in that didnt have a key pad lock which would elminate the possibility of losing the key, but this was also 100% our fault, so I cant really fault the owner. The lake is gorgeous, calm and secluded. Kayaks were a great amenity. the decks were a great place to hang out at all times of the day. The grill is charcoal, so be prepared if your plan on grilling. Overall great stay at a great property. would 100% book again.

Beautiful weekend family stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our two kids and their spouses, all in town for a family wedding. The cabin was beautiful and very spacious and very well stocked with all sorts of supplies! We would love to return for a longer visit in the summer and take advantage of the outdoor space! Reservation and check-in was very smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed the place!

Kinderhook lake

House is located on a small cove with easy access to the main lake. Slope from house to water is a bit steep but manageable. Decks are lovely with lots of space and great views. Grill on deck is charcoal so plan accordingly. House is charming, could have been a little cleaner in the kitchen area. Kitchen is well appointed The downstairs is a bit musty and could probably benefit from a dehumidifier. We made good use of the Kayaks and SUP’s and really enjoyed our time on the lake

Vacay at the lake

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kinderhook Lake House. Initially, there was a misunderstanding about water access for swimming; we misunderstood and thought there was land to water access, but you have to take a boat/kayak/other out into the lake and swim from there or a small island, and from there the water is clean and refreshing. The owners were very sweet when we raised our concern about water access and helped us work through it. The house and view are awesome, and we had many enjoyable hours there.

We love this house.

This is our third summer at John & Regina's lake house and we did ourselves a favor and stayed even longer this time. As in past years, the house is so well designed, comfortable and relaxing - the lake is beautiful and we spent SO much time on it this visit. We paddle-boarded, kayaked and swam a ton. Thank you again John & Regina for a wonderful stay.

We love the lake the mountains and the outdoors...I have rebuilt this house to recreate that old camp feel. one tv and movies for you and the kids.. no dishwasher old school everyone chips in. The main area is set up with a great open feel, so everyone can be together. cable and Wi-Fi

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Usually there is no one on the lake during the week even in the summer, very quiet.... winters are outstanding.. skiing /snowboarding close enough to totally enjoy.
