Lovely stay, charming decor and outdoor terrace. One disappointment: the bathroom door was slatted—not solid—and therefore did not provide appropriate privacy. Great location and management.

Perfect location cute apartment

Really no complaints great location and patio was a bonus. Be aware there is a strange $150 cash deposit and some forms to fill out when you get there as well as a checkout appointment to get that $150 back. It was harmless and not scammy but a bit of an inconvenience and had to run to ATM. I’m fairness they emailed me about it but since it was VRBO I assumed it was hands free. Still great stay and I’d recommend.

Perfect location and fabulous host

Cascais was the last leg of our two week trip in Portugal. Our stay here was perfect as a home base for spending relaxing days at the beach, great shopping and amazing restaurants. Our host Henrique was amazing through the whole process. He made himself available for questions, provided recommendations for restaurants, and was so kind-leaving flowers, wine and the infamous Nata’s. The home is in a perfect location if you want to step outside and feel like you are a part of everything. We happened to be staying at the same time the Festas do Mar was taking place. So obviously a bit more crowded, but a treat to walk around and listen to music at night and enjoy the last of the summer days. While there was a lot of activity, the nights were quiet even though we were right in town. The photos are true to how the apartment is described. The amenities were just what my partner and I needed to feel comfortable for a few days. We enjoyed breakfast in the back terrace which was so charming, we felt like we were in our own little hideaway. The bed was extremely comfortable and enough storage for us to feel like we could not live out of a suitcase for a few days. It’s good to note that the place was spotless and was sanitized, keeping our safety in mind in regards to Covid. I was very impressed with how professional Henrique was, and how the whole rental process was handled. If we are to be lucky enough to come back to Cascais again, we would stay here in a minute and have already recommended this location to friends and family. Thank you Henrique for making our last days in Portugal so special!!

Sehr geschmackvolle Unterkunft

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt im Zentrum von Cascais, man kann sehr gut alles zu Fuß erreichen. Sie ist sehr ästhetisch eingerichtet, so dass wir unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen haben. Es gab zur Begrüßung köstliche Geschenke des Gastgebers inclusive einem hervorragenden Wein, der Gastgeber selbst war sehr entspannt. Die Kommunikation lief reibungslos, er hat uns noch einiges an guten Tipps gegeben und der Check-In und Check-Out verliefen auch unkompliziert. Der Wohnung fehlt allerdings das direkte Sonnenlicht, sie ist daher relativ dunkel. Da wir aber nur gutes Wetter hatten, hat uns das nichts ausgemacht. Die Terrasse war schon ein klasse Bonus, der das wieder wettgemacht hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Great location

Ground floor one bedroom apartment with rear patio, located centrally and offering easy access to shops, restaurants, rail station, bus station and the beach. Housed in a building dating from the 19th century the apartment offers simple yet comfortable accommodation with good wifi, comfy bed, decent shower and well equipped kitchen. The internal courtyard patio offers a sheltered and cool place to relax surrounded by mature plants and shrubs. The owner, Henrique is friendly, helpful and welcomed us to the apartment having laid on a complimentary bottle of wine, local cake and fresh strawberries. There are several excellent books covering the history and current attractions that Cascais has to offer. We enjoyed an excellent stay, including a guided walk and picnic through local countryside which Henrique offers as an optional extra. Very happy to recommend and we look forward to returning at some time in the future.

Our Wonderful Stay at Casa da Fonte

A beautiful charming historic house in a perfect location for the old town and beaches. The apartment was excellent and provided everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. Henrique was very professional and approachable at all times, the welcoming gifts very much appreciated. We had a fantastic holiday in Cascais and would highly recommend Casa da Fonte.

Très chaleureux et idéalement situé

Nous avons d'abord choisi Casa da Fonte Patio, située au rez de chaussée, pour des raisons d'accessibilité, mes parents ayant une mobilité limitée. Très vite ce logement a dépassé nos attentes. Joliment décoré, bien équipé, cosy et très chaleureux on s'y sent comme à la maison. Nous avons apprécié le patio extérieur idéal pour prendre le petit déjeuner ou se poser à tout moment de la journée. Merci au propriétaire, M. Henrique, très attentionné, disponible et à l'écoute, qui a pris le temps de répondre à nos questions avant même le début de notre séjour. Ce logement est un excellent pied à terre pour découvrir la région, idéalement situé dans le centre de Cascais, sur une jolie place arborée, à deux pas de la station de bus pour Sintra et de la gare ferroviaire pour Lisbonne.

Loved Henrique and the Apartment was Great!!!

The apartment is in Henrique's historic family home and he takes immense pride in making sure everything is perfect for his guests. It is lovely, well-maintained, clean, near wonderful restaurants, and a close walk to the beach. He is a warm and considerate individual who goes the extra mile to assure that his guests have a lovely experience in Cascais. We could not have asked for more!

Very good

The property was as advertised and Henrique was the perfect host. The check in was very smooth and informative. As we like to cook, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and the outside eating space was perfect. The location was right in the centre of Cascais overlooking a small park which was charming. Whilst we don't intend to return to Cascais we are recommending this property to all our friends.

Ideal for families

We stayed with our two young children and had a wonderful time in Cascais. The apartment looks just as advertised and was the perfect size for our family. It is only a 5min walk from the beach yet situated far enough from the hustle & bustle of the noise and big crowds. We loved the convenience of being on a main floor and not having to go up/down stairs with the children and stroller. The futon was quite spacious for the kids to sleep on and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen was also well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We did not use the terrace because it was a bit chilly in the evenings but it would be lovely on a warm summer evening. Henrique was a very professional and responsive host and made us feel welcome. Overall- very good value and highly recommend!

Superb ! Casa da Fontin

An excellent spot. Thank you Henrique! From your arranging of airport meeting ( Eddie was such a fun and knowledge driver- tour and laughs in one) to all our Easter treats..wine, special cake and almonds. The flat was charming yet had all mod cons. We loved the zen terrace and used it daily. For its central location it was very quiet and relaxing spot. Enjoyed the city markets, bought lots of fresh flowers and ate so much fresh fish and seafood from the nearby restaurants. Info pack was invaluable. Thanks again a definite 5 out of 5. Plan to return soon! K and J

Centrally located nice apartment

Beautifully decorated flat with a patio and well-equipped kitchen close to shops, restaurants and beach. The shady patio with green vegetation can be fully enjoyed in a hot season, now it was a bit too cool to sit outside. Bed was very comfortable and bedroom quiet with no noise from the street. It is a bit dark inside, but the central location and the atmosphere of the 1930 built house makes it worth a stay. The host Henrique was very helpful and arranges for his guests a 3-hour walk with picnic in the beautiful countryside outside the beaten track. Can highly recommend this experience!

well located, attractive apartment

Stayed for 2 weeks, September 2018. The apartment looks just as shown in the photographs. It is comfortable, attractive and well equipped with everything you need for self catering. The patio was a cool, relaxing place to enjoy meals. The location is perfect for supermarkets, shops, beach, and transport and attractions in the town. It is next to a lovely square with a fountain and trees for shade where you can sit. A cute little old fashioned carousel attracts local children. I loved listening to the haunting music as it turned. There is and antique market and craft market in the square Wednesday and Saturday. All the administration after booking and the hand over of keys etc., was handled in and efficient and friendly manner, by Henrique who was on hand should any problems arise. I enjoyed the welcoming gift of local food produce, delicious!

Very recommendable

Excellent location at decent price. Roomy and cosy apt in groundfloor, patio/backyard gave good shade (and pizza fumes from next door restaurant..) Extented/relayed wi-fi to cover patio better would be nice though... We didnt self cater much, but all amenities and more seemed to be available. Friendly and effective host gave good info. Will definitely try this one again. Thank you.

Situation idéale mais appartement trop sombre.

Une semaine à Cascais est trop long. Appartement en rez de chaussée idéalement situé en plein centre et deux pas de la plage. Un séjour donnant sur le rue avec une toute petite fenêtre donc pièce à vivre très sombre' cuisine sur le patio avec un d'équipement un peu vétuste (les poêles sont inutilisables) le reste de la vaisselle est tre bien. Le patio devrait être repeint car car l'enduit se decolle et il y a la hotte de la pizzeria qui diffuse ses odeurs de 19h à 23h donc pas agréable de dîner le soir. Chambre très bien avec salle de douche borgne qui donne dans la chambre. Bien dans l'ensemble mais pas pour y prendre tous les repas.

Lovely, clean, and central. Perfect for long-term stays!

We're a family of four (parents + 2-year-old and 4-year-old), and we stayed here for a month, from Feb 28 - Mar 29. It was absolutely marvelous. The apartment is perfectly clean, gorgeously decorated, and is centrally located in the most beautiful and most walkable part of Cascais. The WiFi is fast (30 megabits/sec download), a meticulous weekly housekeeping was included, and Henrique (the owner and manager) is incredibly gracious. I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially for small families. Just book it!

Bel appartement stylé à la décoration soignée, très bien situé et avec beaucoup d'équipements

Appartement très confortable, situé en plein centre ville mais très calme, aucun bruit extérieur. Nombreux équipements à disposition: vaisselle complète, lave linge, lave vaisselle etc.. Seuls bémols: manque un peu de lumière naturelle et on entend les voisins du dessus marcher à cause du plancher bois. Globalement, très agréable séjour.

Super Lage, schöne Einrichtung, netter Vermieter

Die Wohnung liegt im Erdgeschoss eines historischen Hauses und ist komplett ausgestattet, alles da, was man braucht. Zur Begrüßung gab´s sogar einen Kuchen von Henrique. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr zentral gelegen. Klare Empfehlung.
