There is also a hide-a-bed for additional sleeping. Enjoy extended cable on the large flat screen TV in the living room and a flat screen TV in the master bedroom. There are stainless steel appliances in the fully equipped kitchen for your dining and entertaining needs. The owner's have also added a hair dryer for your convenience. Quick getaway

The condo was perfect for a quick getaway with my daughter and her friend. It was a short walk to the beach, and having the pool available was great. It would have been nice to have actual blankets on the beds rather than just duvet covers but other than that, it worked out well!

Good location but…

My wife and I stay at VRBO properties regularly. This was located in a great area close to the beach, but some things about the interior of the property were not to standard. The furniture and the walls were dirty. The linens were of very low quality.

great location, easy walk to beach, nearby breakfast, and beach stores, nice enough pool for the complex, cleanish condo, old fashioned coffee makers that were dirty (pink mold? in reservoir). owner has too much furniture crammed in space around kitchen bar, ...ice maker in refrigerator didn't work. ...three main gripes, (1) this is a 2nd floor unit and tenants on 3rd floor stomping back & forth day and night, even late into night 04:30 am, (2), the Better Beach realtor that manages the property does not have their cleaning service make beds, ...the guests have to make the beds themselves upon arrival; (3) additionally they are too cheap to even have small soap bars in the bathrooms - a bit frustrating when arriving after long drive, needing to use the bathroom. I will say that the staff is very friendly on check in....but we don't recommend this specific unit b/c of 3rd floor tenants, and don't recommend properties managed by Better Beach realty.

A good 4 day stay!

We liked the size of the condo. Liked the location. Everything was good except the very dirty floors. Guessing they just get swept but not cleaned. TV's didn't work so I emailed them but never received a reply nor got them fixed. Wasn't a big deal for us but probably would be for others. The living room furniture needs cleaned also. Other than those 3 things, everything was good. I would stay here again. All The furniture also need cleaned

Overall the property was clean and efficient. The cooking pots and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced as the teflon coatings have been damaged. The closeness to the beach is certainly a big plus.

Great location

Clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked. Layout was great for a family. There were prob 6 lightbulbs burnt out which was a minor inconvenience but everything else was great.

Lacking in basic ammenities

A short weekend stay at this property. Giant cockroach in master bath to start. The most inadequately equipped condo I have ever rented. No serving pieces such as baskets for chips or platters or big bowls. Not even salt & pepper. No bathroom tissue in either bathroom, No corkscrew. Called the emergency number and no answer or call back. No instructions on what to do with keys after renting.

Good Oak Island Location, Clean, Advertised with Wi-Fi but No Wi-Fi at This Property

This review is based 1. the property itself and 2. the rental company who manages the property. First, the property itself is centrally located on beautiful Oak Island. It's a very short walk to a public beach, a few local restaurants, the Food Lion (grocery store) and beach shops. The linens and furnishings provided were adequate and the unit was clean. The pool was very nice. I rented this unit through VRBO/Better Beach Rentals at the end of June 2015 because of its location, amenities and price. One of the most important amenities for this vacation was wi-fi access. It was advertised as having wi-fi however it DOES NOT have wi-fi. The iron did not work and the dryer took 3 hours to dry a small load of clothes. We managed through that. Second, the rental company who manages this property, Better Beach Rentals, has an automated reservation and check-in process which was fine. Upon entering the property and realizing there was no wi-fi service, I called BBR 4 times and left 1 e-mail message. BBR tried to help but no wi-fi access was present during the five day stay. I was told the owner had dropped the wi-fi service after my reservation was made and there was nothing they could do. I should have been notified prior to check-in so that I could have made other arrangements for wi-fi access or changed my location. This is a comfortable, well appointed condo but either get wi-fi in the unit or update your listing to show that it does not include it!

Perfect!

Arrived today! And everything looks just like the pictures. Everything is clean and well kept. Only complaint is the company the owner has the condo through. Better Beach Rental has the worse customer service. And very unprofessional. Advise to the owner... find someone else to rent the condo. They didn't even check to see if I was the actual person getting the condo. Just told them my last name, literally handed me the pocket with the keys and didn't say a word. Very rude ladies working there. Other than that perfectly comfortable and relaxing condo!
