Welcome to St. Maarten 1401 at Silver Shells

This end unit is the most desirable in all of the Silver Shells resort. Gulf front with sweeping views of the beautiful surf from the wraparound balcony. Floor to ceiling views of the water from the Living Room and the Master Bedroom. Step off the elevator directly into the foyer of this gorgeous vacation home. The unit sleeps 8 guests comfortably. King in Master, Queen in Second and Third Bedrooms, each with own bath. Full sleeper sofa in Living Room. The Second and Third Bedrooms open onto a balcony with views of the resort, MidBay Bridge and most of the City of Destin. Ceiling fans in each bedroom. Dining table seats 6+ with 4 stools at the kitchen counter bar. The fully equipped kitchen has updated appliances and all the amenities. Laundry room has full size washer and dryer as well as a deep laundry sink. Each Bedroom has a flat screen television with DVD player. Living Room has a large flat screen TV with Blu-Ray player. WiFi is complementary. The spacious wraparound balcony on the southeast side provides for magnificent outdoor entertaining with gorgeous beach, pool and resort views. Enjoy the wonderful views of the Gulf or stargaze while relaxing to the sound of the surf or use the built-in sound system to play your favorite music in the unit and on the balcony.Fitness Center, basketball courts and tennis courts are temporarily unavailable until further notice!

In the Silver Shells Resort, St. Maarten is the closest rental building to the beach. Direct pool or beach access from the Lobby or the underground garage. Henderson Beach State Park is right next door and the local favorite ā€œThe Back Porchā€ is within easy walking distance. Located on the Resort grounds is Ruthā€™s Chris Steak House (which provides room service) and ā€œThe Sand Barā€ serving casual food and drinks. The Spa at Silver Shells is a full service spa where you can indulge in a body massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, or other soothing spa treatments. Great time in a beautiful property! The view was amazing. The access was phenomenal. The check in/out process was a little irritating due to trying to figure out the drop box situation, but that did not have an affect on the great time we had! Will definitely be reserving again in the near future!

This is a wonderful place to vacation. Beautiful views, great location, private beach was a huge plus. We loved The Sandbar and their staff! Grounds were very well groomed and the condo had plenty of space. The couch had feather pillows, high end fabric curtains and pillow covers. The bedding was nice too. We will definitely be staying there again!

Wonderful Condo!

Such a wonderful place to stay! They had plenty of cookware, nice view, gorgeous decor. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the Master Bed is pretty hard. Some love a hard bed but we did not. Overall it was a great experience. Our family loved the pool area the most.

The Best Beach Getawayā€™s staff are amazing, from start to finish they went out of their way to assist us when we arrived earlier than expected. The master bath shower is unbelievable and steam room. My only advice would be to upgrade the WI-FI ā€œway to much bufferingā€ ditch the Dish network and upgrade all the TVā€™s to smart TVā€™s. This way all guests could stream whatever apps they want. Still overall my favorite condo at Silver Shells.

Great Stay

We had a great time at Silver Shells with our daughter, her spouse and three grand daughters. The pool was just below our building with the beach a short walk. We were able to have dinner within walking distance. Destin Harbor was a short drive away, however, the traffic is something else during the summer. Everyone had a great time.

Awesome condo

The condo was as described. The view was amazing. The multiple balconies were a huge plus. The condo had direct access to the beach. Another huge plus was that the condos had 24 hour controlled access to get into the condo area. We will stay here in the future.

We Love Silver Shells

We stayed at St. Maarten. We have stayed there many times and love it there. Our favorite part is the large lagoon pool. That is why we started staying there. Very disappointed that the hot tub didn't work the entire week we were there though. Other than that, it was a good trip. We were on the 14th floor with great pool and beach views. Condo was decorated exceptionally. Would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely love Silver Shells and had another fabulous week in Destin. The pool is spectacular and the beach/gulf is just amazing! I would suggest a few items to add to the condoā€¦plastic cups to take drinks to the pool, a keurig, some plastic containers with lids for food storage, beach towels, small cooler, would be nice for guests who fly in. We left a couple noodles and an umbrella so hopefully the next guest can enjoy them. Overall it was a perfect week!

It was a very nice condo. However when arrived it was not cleaned very well. I had to clean all the floors and windows were cleaned as high as they could reach. It could use some paint touch up as well. Overall we truly enjoyed this condo and the master bath is incredible.

The property was nice! Great location and amazing views!! Beautiful beach!!! Condo is quite large and pretty! Needs a deep clean for sure!! Three adult friends staying and I registered them all, but the property manage only had 2 keys! It was a serious hassle when we needed to come and go, someone always had to be available to let one in!!

Overall stay was great but there were a couple things not working. Dishwasher was broke. Washed everything by hand. The toilets were running off and on all night. But view and stay was great!!

Book this place now! The condoā€™s decor has been updated and it is gorgeous!

Check-in was fine, despite the reviews youā€™ll see. When all else fails, dial the contact number, option 2, and Robert will take care of you. The decor in the condo was updated and it blew us away. Everything was so comfortable and...THE SHOWER...is amazing. The pool, the play area, the walkability to the Back Porch, etc is just the best. We have stayed at Silver Shells for the last 3 or 4 years and this condo was every bit as nice as other condos weā€™ve stayed in, including the penthouse. Definitely recommend booking this place.

Great Place

Overall the place was great. The condo was very nice and had a very nice view on the 14th floor. We were happy with the condo. The only negative is the chair rentals. The prices for the chairs are very high and they only open rental place at 9:30 so itā€™s almost impossible to get there and reserve a set of chairs where you want to be. Also, the ice maker didnā€™t work and that would have been nice to have all week. Other than that it was a great stay.

Nice place

My biggest con of this place is having to drive 30minutes out of the way to get the keys. No complaints on cleanliness, not perfect but ok. Steam room was awesome and we loved all the shower heads but the hot water heater only lasts about 5minutes. Huge condo upgrades not shown in photos are amazing. Kids love each having their own balcony! Would love to come back but the price has raised and nearly made it impossible.

Fantastic place Horrible management

The place is amazing. Itā€™s even more updated than the pics. Location and view almost canā€™t get any better. I really canā€™t say enough about the place. The management company though was horrible. No one answers the phone. You have to leave a message and hope someone gets back to. They have such a lack of communication. It was such a disappointment. We were afraid that we werenā€™t going to have a place to stay after booking well in advanced and fully paid. I hope they can work this out as I see others had similar issues.
