THE COTTAGE HAS 1 DOUBLE BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE AND 1 TWIN ROOM , ONE LARGER THAN THE OTHER , PLEASE SEE PLAN OF COTTAGES .TOGETHER WITH A HOUSE BATHROOM ALL WITH VAULTED CEILINGS AND EXPOSE BEAMS AND A DOWNSTAIRS CLOAKROOM.

THE DOWNSTAIRS IS OPEN PLAN AND HAS A LARGE KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA WITH PATIO DOORS OUT ONTO THE PATIO AND GRASSED AREA WHICH IS IDEAL FOR CHILDREN TO PLAY ON...THE COTTAGE HAS FREE WIFI LARGE FLAT SCREEN TV DOWNSTAIRS AND TV IN THE MAIN ENSUITE BEDROOM...
THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING OUTSIDE AND AREAS FOR BBQ'S AND AL FRESCO DINING.

THE COTTAGE HAS FULL CENTRAL HEATING AND IS VERY WELL INSULATED AND KEEPS WARM WHATEVER THE TIME OF YEAR.

THIS IS AN IDEAL PROPERTY FOR BOTH A RURAL SETTING AS WELL AS BEING CLOSE TO THE FACILITIES OF FILEY AND THE BEACH.
IT ALSO HAS AMPLE PARKING WHICH CAN BE A BONUS IN SUMMER WHEN COMING BACK AFTER A BUSY DAY.

Lovely cottage on the outskirts of Filey

The cottage had everything we needed, with a good sized outdoor area. One of the bedrooms had a great view to the sea, which was about 20 minutes walk or a short car ride.

Summer break

Good location, quiet and peaceful, well equipped and safe for little ones. I would recommend the farmhouse and definitely stay there again.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous & will book again!

Here for a week with my daughter (12) & it was lovely - Caroline (host) was very helpful… house was fab - beautiful & clean - plenty of space, great location, easy to use kitchen appliances… likely to book every year - first time we’ve been on holiday & it was great Places to visit: Fountains Abbey, Whitby Abbey & Whitby, Filey Beach, North Yorkshire Water Park, Mount Grace Priory, Scarborough Castle, Scarborough, Bridlington, (go crabbing)

Lovely quiet cottage, with plenty of room

Ideally situated, surrounded by lovely countryside and very close to Filey. We walked into Filey several times for meals, to the shops and to the beach etc. The cottage was perfect for us and the owners were very accommodating as we have 2 children, a toddler and a baby. The only one thing I would say is that it didn't have a washing machine and with 2 messy kids, we needed one. Thankfully we had family living near by so we popped in and used their washing machine a couple of times so no big deal 😉 We will definitely be staying at this cottage again.

Too many disappointments

The property is in a pretty setting with nice views to the coast. The accommodation is clean and tidy. However it is badly let down by many factors that make it way overpriced and disappointing, especially... - the mattresses for all beds apart from the double bed are very uncomfortable...they roll you into the middle and you can feel the springs, so it's impossible to have a good sleep. - the third bedroom is very small and far too small for the 2 super-narrow beds that are crammed into it - the showers don't work properly if there's anyone using any water anywhere else in the property (including flushing toilets) so showering needs to be carefully coordinated - the sofas are end of life - no towels; no soap; no washing up liquid; no condiments; almost no toilet paper; just 2 dishwasher tablets for the entire week - just feels mean. Cannot recommend, even if it was much cheaper.

The mattresses in question have been replaced with new hotel contract quality ones - and the small bedroom has completely new hotel contract frames and mattresses ( as stated in the description the small bedroom is more suitable for children with 30 inch wide divan beds) As we were in lockdown minimal items were supplied as per national guidelines. Hot water has been checked by a plumber and no faults were found - the showers have regulators to ensure even temperatures.

Beds

The property was great it all respects apart from the beds! The double bed and mattress was fine BUT all the other beds need to be replaced! The mattresses on the twin beds in the second bedroom were so soft and old that one of our group decided to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. The 2 beds in the small bedroom can only really be described as ‘camp’ children’s beds and the mattresses were appalling, worn so much the springs were almost visible. A great shame as the rest of the property suited our needs perfectly but wouldn’t return due to the state of the beds.

The mattresses in question have been replaced with new hotel contract quality ones ( medium to the firm as reccommended) - and the small bedroom has completely new hotel contract bed bases and mattresses (as stated in the property description the small bedroom is more suitable for children with 30 inch wide normal divan beds). Twin room mattress description The Supreme Guest Hotel Contract Mattress is 25cm deep and features 1,500 pocket springs which work independently from one another to provide support to all parts of the body. Surrounding the pocket springs are generous layers of luxury fillings for a medium to firm comfort support. Finished in a high quality Belgium Damask fabric and hand tufted for a supportive and comfortable sleep. An extremely popular choice for B&B's, Guest Houses and Hotels. Small twin room bed description The Classic Guest Hotel Contract Divan Bed Set has a 25cm deep mattress and has been designed using a 13.5 gauge open coil spring unit with a heavy duty 9g full wire frame for extra support. Generous layers of luxury fillings provide a medium to firm comfort. Lovely cottage central for Yorkshire coast and moors

Beautiful cottage with lovely garden, we stayed in the Flamborough view cottage that opened up onto fields with sheep in and views of the sea in the distance. Cottage was a very nice size with plenty of space. Everything inside you needed. Quiet and very peaceful. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely weekend here. Great location, lovely accommodation, peaceful and easy to walk to the coast and Filey in about 10-15 mins. The hosts were very helpful, helping us out very quickly with a query that we had.

Great location and a lovely cottage

This cottage was in a great location in Filey with some lovely walks close by. The cottage itself was basic but comfortable and very clean. I would stay here again but it would have to be at a lower price than what we paid for a week in August when everywhere seemed to have overinflated their prices.

Schönes Haus mit nettem Garten, guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge

Das Haus ist sehr schön und prima für eine Familie mit zwei großen Kindern (zwei Bäder!). Schöne Aussicht auf die Küste. Von hier aus lassen sich sehr gut Ausflüge in den Nationalpark zum Wandern machen. Den Sandstrand erreicht man zu Fuß (20 min). Sehr interessante Küste, auch weiter Richtung Hull. War für uns die letzte Etappe vor der Fähre ab Hull. Sehr nette Vermieter! Kleine Minuspunkte: Die Straße war etwas laut (deshalb nur 4 Sterne für die Lage) und das Geschirr, das wir benutzen wollten, mussten wir erst mal in die Spülmaschine stecken.

Lovely break

Really lovely stay. Clean, tidy and a lovely welcome of wine and chocolate! Only pointer would be to have an instruction guide for the oven. We have a range and we’re not sure of the various symbols eg grill or oven. But brilliant. Would recommend especially for the views. Many thanks.

There's nuffin like a puffin

The view of Flamborough head and the closer cliffs was fantastic. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the sheep in the adjacent field. There was lots of room in the property and garden and it is very well kept and equipped. It was very close to Filey and near to Bempton cliffs (gannets and puffins were our favourites), Sewerby Hall (we liked the Humboldt penguins and Guinea pigs), Flamborough and Bridlington.

Nice little cottage in a lovely spot

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and in Filey. The kids enjoyed the beach and visiting Alpamare water park in Filey. The apartment was reasonably well equipped although there were a few things that were not so good - the single beds were all quite uncomfortable, and the sofas in the lounge also not that comfy for sitting in of an evening. Also, there is no washing machine. But it was warm, cosy and clean and we definitely enjoyed our stay.
