Ideally located on the outskirts of the village of Carvoeiro, the villa has a genuine feeling of privacy and has good sea views from the rear facing terracing. Situated in the village of Sesmarias with its local mini market, bars, restaurants. Carvoeiro itself is 5 minutes by car and offers many different shops, restaurants and bars. The are has plenty of beaches that can be easily reached as well as several quality golf course and other leisure facilities.

Family holiday

Perfect Villa for a family holiday, quiet location and the property had everything you could ask for, we had a fantastic time and can’t fault anything, the kids loved the pool and games room on the ground floor. Host Mark was very welcoming and available for advice or issues, we would definitely book the Villa again.

Relaxing holiday

A lovely villa, the kids loved the pool and the games room. Mark the host was amazingly responsive to all questions, and best of all there were some cool beers waiting for us on arrival, thank you

Fantastic stay

Stayed as a family of 8 with 2 young children. We had the best holiday. The Villa was perfect! Mark was a great host, nothing was ever too much trouble! Would definitely recommend!

Above expectations

We had seen the great reviews and the images of the villa looked lovely, however it was better than we thought it would be. Lots of space. Light airy rooms and the pool area was large with lots of space for all of us. A wonderful spot for a family holiday

Great Family retreat

Super place for a family break. Masses of space and the facilities are first class. Kids loved the pool every day as well as the games /tv area. Mark our host was really helpful and always available for advice. Location near enough restaurants to walk out to with the town a short drive away. Even got some golf in. Would definitely return.

Highly recommend this property. Location is residential but still quiet. Restaurant and local shop in easy walking distance, with 3 big supermarkets in 10 mins drive. Owner is nearby but not at all intrusive and communications excellent. All rooms very clean with excellent aircon, two of the 5 bedrooms are massive and all others are good doubles all with ensuite. Downstairs games room with very high quality pool table, large extra TV and sitting area with additional kitchen (including 2nd fridge and dishwasher) means you get two homes for one! Wireless Internet good throughout. Outside area has both shady and sunny areas and large brick built barbecue. Carvoeiro itself is a short taxi away and has a great atmosphere and loads of restaurants, water park close by too. Silves nearby medieval town worth a visit. And Burger King in Lagoa if you fancy it!

July 2023 stay

A great villa for a large group, it was clean, spacious and superbly equipped. We made good use of the pool, barbecue and pool table. Great communication from Mark prior to and during our stay. Mid-stay clean was great. Location was good; nice and quiet and only a short drive into the town. A couple of lovely restaurants and a small supermarket within walking distance. We hired a car and enjoyed exploring the area. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect family holiday

We were a party of 2 families with 4 children aged from 4-14 years and there was something for everyone at this villa. Plenty of space, loads of shade, plenty of places to be in the sun all day too. Small mini market just up the road and the owner, Mark, couldn’t have been more accommodating, helpful and friendly. We would book this property again year after year. Less than min taxi journey to carvoiero but a very peaceful location. Wouldn’t change a thing about the stay, other than we wished we could’ve stayed longer

Extended family holiday

The villa is simply fantastic. Immaculately clean. Pool area is great and the games room is a massive bonus. Mark, the host, was excellent. Answered all questions before and during the visit and was there to greet us on arrival. Walking distance to 2-3 eating places - including one really good restaurant - a great little(cheap) locals bar and a good mini market. Ten mins in a cab to carvoiero. Would recommend unreservedly.

Gorgeous villa

2 families stayed and had plenty of space inside the villa and around the spotless pool. We would all highly recommend it! This villa is so big and modern and has everything you need for a self catering holiday in the sun. It is a short drive into Carvoeiro and taxis were easy to book and around 5 euro each way. Mark the host was helpful and friendly from booking to checking out and responded to any questions really quickly. The villa itself was stunning but the added extras made the holiday so much more enjoyable. Large sun canopies over the seating area offered shade, the kitchen by the pool made getting drinks easy and the games room was a welcome break from the midday sun.

Stunning!

From the moment that you walked up the steps and into the garden this villa really felt like a home away from home. We were greeted by Mark who was very friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, giving us lots of information and some excellent recommendations. The villa is kitted out with everything you could need and the downstairs bar and games room was an absolute treat to have. Our son stayed in the pool room and said it was the best place he had ever stayed in, high praise indeed!! We had an amazing two week stay and didn’t want it to end. We will definitely be returning to the very beautiful Portugal next year❤️

Superb villa

Villa San Marco is stunning. It is equipped with everything you need on holiday, plus some things you never knew you needed. Host was very friendly, giving good information before arrival and at check in. Always helpful, we had no issues while we were there. Location is very peaceful, generally very quiet at night except for occasional dogs barking. There are some good pizza restaurants within easy walking distance, this may be heresy to the locals but we preferred Casa João over Luisa's, but they were both pretty similar. This villa could easily accommodate 3 couples or large family. The downstairs games room was excellent. There was also a second kitchen on this floor. Very handy for BBQ nights. There is also a chill out/TV/game room on this floor and a separate bedroom with en suite. An excellent area for teenagers.

Brilliant

We all (4 adults and 4 children aged 13-17) really enjoyed our stay. Mark was excellent throughout the process, he was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a few tips on the local area, where to eat, shop etc. The villa was more than we expected, room sizes were great, they were exceptionally clean, great for socialising but we also all had our own space. Couldn’t have asked for more. Location is also very good, really close to Carvoeiro, Portimão, Golf courses beaches and not too far from Faro and Lagos. Overall we had a brilliant week in the Algarve and a big part of this was the villa. Would recommend this villa without hesitation.

Fantastic Villa, highly recommended

From start to end everything was perfect. The Villa was exceptionally clean and surpass our expectation. Every single detail has been throughly thought about. Mark was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The Villa has 4 spacious rooms and a 5th on the lower floor. Easy reach to beach, shops, and restaurants. The children spent many hours in the wonderful pool which is surrounded by a fabulous patio garden. The games room with a pool table, bar and dart board was well used and enjoyed. We will be looking to rent the Villa again in the near future. Highly recommended and amazing support from Mark.

Amazing!

We were a bit sceptical about using VRBO as this was our first time, however the 5 star communication with the host Mark, soon put our minds at rest. From the start, even before booking, Mark was extremely helpful and was able to answer any questions we had. Mark lives in the area and was on hand from our first communication right through to the end of our stay with advice and recommendations for local restaurants etc. Mark also arranged our airport transfers. On arrival, Mark was there to greet us and gave us a tour of the villa, to describe it as amazing doesn't seem good enough!! The villa was a real home from home, and has everything you could possibly want or need. We went with family and it was great that everyone had their own rooms and bathrooms. The games room was also a massive bonus and well used during our stay. The outside area was perfect to spend some precious time with family. The villa was modern and well maintained with gardeners coming in weekly, along with the cleaners and pool guy. All in all, this is probably the best holiday we have had as a family, and we will be back! Again, a massive thank you to Mark, to Rachel the cleaner, and to the rest of the team who made our holiday amazing.

A week of luxury

We were a group of 5 - all female including 3 sisters, a niece and my daughter. We were impressed by the online photos on the website but in reality the villa is far superior again. The quality of furnishings. The space. The luxury. And we all had our our room and bathroom. The pool was perfect as was the patio area. The villa is in a beautiful residential quiet suburb but the town of Carvoeiro was 5 minutes in an Uber. This is a bustling town with direct access to the beach lots of shops and restaurants. It had a lovely holiday vibe each night. There was a little convenience store about 2/3 mins walk from the villa for everything you need. Mark - the host is simply 1st class. From the moment we booked until the moment we left he organised everything for us including our airport transfers. He was there on an arrival to greet us and give us a tour of the villa. I rate this villa 5 stars. And indeed the whole holiday was too. Having been to Portugal twice before, this was easily the most enjoyable stay and that is down to Mark and the luxury of this glorious villa. We very much look forward to returning to Sesmarias again very soon. Couldn’t recommend this property enough. ⭐️

Glorious Villa and Superb Management

The villa is situated in a quiet location with a glorious view down to the ocean. It has everything you could want from more than enough cutlery, glasses and crockery. 5x large bedrooms all en suite, with the what i would describe as the master suite having 2 sets of bifold windows and roof terraces with amazing views. The pool was large enough for all 8 staying to play water volleyball. The main living area is spacious and open plan on the first/ground floor and kitchen very well equipped. The lower floor has a great games room with pool table, darts and bar. Outside there is more than enough space to enjoy the Portugese sun all day, with a bbq area and seating. To sum up...if you get the chance to rent this superb property, jump at the chance...Carveiro is fantastic for nights out...Sesmaris has a local supermarket which is well stocked and has pastries, pain au chocolat for brekkie. It also has 2 small resturantes which serve good food...but for great cuisine Carveiro is the place to enjoy. For families there are 2x water parks within 10-15mins of the villa. But what really made the holiday was Mark (owner) whose communication leading up to the holiday was 1st class...he greeted us on arrival to show us around, and was even prepared to drive my partner down to Carveiro to pick up a hand made birthday cake...now thats is truly going above and beyond as a host.

Perfect stay

Mark was a wonderful host. We had the perfect holiday. The house is very big and very functional. The pool is great, very good filtering. It has everything you need to live, and everything is high quality. Very clean! Very calm neighbourhood, close to the beach (7min by Car), close to Portimão, walking distance to supermarket.

Super schöne Villa mit viel Platz und allen Annehmlichkeiten. Mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail bei der Ausstattung (Beispiel: 3 verschiedene Kopfkissen in unterschiedlicher Dicke pro Bett - wo gibt es denn sowas!).Die Zimmer sind alle sehr schön und geräumig, mit guten Matratzen und viel Stauraum. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad und Klimaanlage. Top!Besonders gut gefallen hat uns das „Spielzimmer“ mit Billardtisch, Dart, bestückter Hausbar, extra Küche mit Geschirrspüler, großem Kühlschrank und extra Geschirr. Dadurch hat man kurze Wege beim Grillen und Essen und muss nicht in die Hauptküche. Der Poolbereich ist super schön mit genügend Sonnenliegen, Sonnensegel und Outdoor-Lounge. Es gibt sogar ein separates Bad/WC für den Poolbereich.Das Master-Bedroom hat zwei Dachterassen mit schönem Ausblick über den Ort. Die Villa liegt sehr zentral und nötige Infrastruktur (Supermarkt, 2-3 Restaurants) ist fussläufig erreichbar. Größere Supermärkte sind mit dem Auto in 5 min zu erreichen.Mark, der Vermieter, ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Alles wird im Vorfeld perfekt kommuniziert und unkompliziert abgewickelt. Bei Fragen ist er immer erreichbar und kümmert sich umgehend um alles. Ein ganz dickes Dankeschön an dieser Stelle an Mark! Es war wirklich fantastisch bei dir. Fazit: 5 Sterne

Perfekte Villa

Die Villa bietet alles was man während eines Urlaubs mit Freunden benötigt! Die Grill- und Sitzecke hat uns besonders gefallen. Alle Räume sind sehr schön eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Lage ist auch perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Le Propriétaire a bien répondu et collaboré à nos questions et demandes La maison est bien équipée pour cuisiner!! Grand salon avec TV malheureusement juste un poste était possible de visualiser 3 chambres au premier plancher et une très grande chambre au deuxième et une cinquième au sous-sol Dans l’ensemble les lits sont très confortables, avec plusieurs places de rangement! Salle de bains petite et pourrait être rénovée Stationnement est ok pour 3 L’extérieur est très bien!!! piscine avec plusieurs chaises longues et serviettes Endroit pour faire sécher le linges Accès facile pour la salle de jeux Dans l’ensemble je suis très satisfaite de la maison et je la recommande

Tolle Villa - perfekt für Gruppe aus Freunden/Familien

Wir waren im August 2022 für 14 Tage in der Villa San Marco und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Die Villa verfügt über 5 Schlafzimmer, die alle über ein eigenes Bad verfügen (allein das ist eine Seltenheit). Zusätzlich gibt es auch eine Toilette/Dusche neben dem Pool. Wir haben täglich mit 8 Personen in der Villa gefrühstückt und das hat wunderbar geklappt in der Küche oben. Für mehr Personen wäre aber kein Platz am Esstisch. Mark war super hilfsbereit (obwohl wir nachts um 23:30 erst angekommen sind, da unser Flug Verspätung hatte). Auch während der Woche war er sehr hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle wenn wir Fragen hatten. Wir können die Villa absolut empfehlen und werden auch selbst gerne wiederkommen.
