Yool Caanal Condominiums, a long time favorite! This Akumal Classic is located on a nice stretch of Half Moon Bay.

Yool Caanal offers simple, comfortable accommodations with fantastic views of Half Moon Bay. Each unit features long beachside terraces perfect for looking out over the bay and blue Caribbean waters.

The units consist of a well-equipped kitchen, a living and a dining area.

- The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed.
- The second bedroom with two single beds.

AC in bedrooms only. Yool Caanal 5 comes equipped with a TV monitor and DVD player for watching movies.

You will find excellent snorkeling just in front of your unit in Half Moon Bay.

To us, Yool Caanal offers what it is that has made Akumal one of the last best places. A quiet, easy comfort that will put a smile on your face for no reason at all. Enjoy!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again we had a fabulous time staying at Yool Caanal. We feel so well taken care of by our housekeepers and Daniel the groundskeeper.Morning coffees on the balcony, one or two snorkels a day, the shade of a palapa on the beach and the constant wind that makes even the hottest day pleasant are things we love about our stays. The only negative is watching people walking in the bay where small corals start as soon as you are knee deep and seeing locals fishing and spearfishing in the bay which is a protected area - I wish something could be done to make people understand the damage they are doing.

Poor management service

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed July 2026. Very dissatisfied with the customer service. We booked the condo for two separate stays. I arrived at 10:00pm, after the check in office closed, but unfortunately I was not able to inform them of my late arrival time. At 10:00pm arrival I was not able to get into the condo for over two hours despite calling the emergency number for immediate help. It was hot and humid making the wait unbearable. This scenario repeated itself on the second check in date. The condo was clean and felt safe and the cleaning staff was polite, but not considered a good value for money.

Beautiful and peaceful stay!

We had such a lovely time celebrating our wedding anniversary here in Akumal. The property is beautiful, private, and very peaceful. Bed was extremely comfortable, view of the ocean was beautiful, kitchen was well stocked and the concierge was very helpful in setting up additional activities for us.

Perfect location

Perfect location for our adventures! Close to many activities and restaurants. We stayed for 10 days and wandered around the are. It was bliss! The condo was well appointed and the people were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Just like the pictures

Two bedroom split wing is perfect for two couples. Right on the beach. Restaurants within walking distance.

Gorgeous space

Great location, amazing views and water access. Check-in process was easy. Only complaint is that silverware and knives were nowhere to be found. Ended up eating yogurt with an ice cream scoop.

Great place

One of the greatest views. A few steps and your in the ocean. Exactly what we were looking for. Only downfall is that there is only AC in the bedrooms. Which we knew going in. Open a window and a door and we had a good breeze. Highly recommend staying here.

Penthouse on the beach

Was magical to wake up with the wind blowing across the bed, the sound of the waves and the incredible view without lifting your head off the pillow. The wicker furniture in the living room was quite uncomfortable but other than that everything was perfect.

private location

i loved the layout of the condo, great views from all rooms...a/c not in the living room and there was no TV..no cable..I like to have that in the evening before bed..The condo could use some updating...new sheets /towels etc. Kitchen was nice..everything you need there...plenty of room....it would have been a good location on the beach but the seaweed over took everything..(not the condos fault)..the personal at this location was TOP NOTCH..they helped us with everything so nice!! we rented bikes that was great!

Watch turtles hatch in the summer

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this condo many times. We love to stay here in the summer and see the turtles laying and hatching. This is a coral beach and a small reef system is just a swim away. If you stay April-October the turtles lay nests and hatch. Ariel manages this condo and he is wonderful. Housekeeper Valentina is a joy! Condo is always clean and well maintained with great AC and a smart TV in the living room. There is no pool here and it is quiet and relaxing.

Amazing!

We loved our 9 day stay at Yool Caanal! Just as advertised. Daily cleaning was incredible. Valentina's attention to detail and the cleanliness of the unit was impressive. The beach out front was beautiful and the view from each room of the Caribbean was paradise. There is so much to do in the area. We loved snorkeling, swimming in the cenotes, the ocean and the Bio Reserve. Nearby, the Yal Ku Lagoon was amazing and filled with so many beautiful fish for snorkeling. Our advice would be to not take a tour to it, but walk down and just pay your entrance fee for the morning or afternoon...you can stay as long as you want! We recommend Karaoke night at Buena Vida also nearby. Our teenage boys thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Thank you for a wonderful accommodation and experience while we were there!

Wonderful Week at Yool Caanal #5

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed at Yool Caanal Unit 5 12/25/21 - 1/1-22 and we had such a great experience. The location of this condo on Half Moon Bay is perfect if you are looking for something away from the more crowded Akumal beach area. We rented bicycles for the week which was a perfect way to get to the restaurants and shops in Akumal and Akumal Pueblo. The condo itself was beautiful and exactly as described. The folks at Akumal Direct were so very responsive and helpful with all the reservation details and even offered a discount due to some construction going on next door. Absolutely no complaints; would definitely stay here again (and again).
