Playa Caribe’s Studio Natasha is an inviting retreat for two, blending comfort and convenience in the heart of Half Moon Bay, Akumal. Located on the street side of Playa Caribe’s south tower, this studio provides a peaceful setting just steps from the beach and pool. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, kitchenette, and air conditioning. The design is simple yet functional, making it an ideal option for couples seeking value without sacrificing access to beachfront amenities.

Guests enjoy daily housekeeping, purified water, beach towels, and concierge assistance. Outdoors, Playa Caribe’s shared amenities include an oceanfront pool, loungers, BBQ grill, gardens, and an outdoor shower.

This is a streetview studio without direct ocean views. The beach and pool are steps away, and you’ll enjoy the same perks as beachfront guests. Water shoes are suggested for snorkeling in Half Moon Bay’s mixed sandy and rocky shoreline.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. It was also right across the street from the midway store so everything was accessible. Staff was kind, friendly, and professional. We also loved that the place stayed true to Mexico and their traditions. Wasn’t too modern, so we knew exactly where we were.

A tiny home away from home

The Natasha condo was clean and neat. I was greeted with a generous welcome gift basket. The kitchen accessories were in great shape. The shower is powerful and hot! The bed was firm. If there could be some improvements, I suggest that the refrigerator be replaced with something newer as parts were missing. Also, the child sized sofa could be switched out for an adult version that could be more comfortable. A lamp by the bed would be helpful. Overall, the stay was pleasant and the staff was helpful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed in the streetside studio, Natasha for 7 nights in March 2023. Very nice room for the price. Staff was helpful, maid service very thorough and friendly, great location middle of Half moon bay. Kitchen was well stocked, great pool and grounds, nice seating on the beach. Midway store very convenient for ice/snacks/drinks. The seaweed/sargassum was pretty bad, but can't be helped. Only suggestion to make the room better, darker shade on door and bathroom window. Appreciate the security of the bright lights outside, but room was very light during the night.

Pool has glass in it!

The room was nice and the maid service was amazing. But the last week we were there I stepped on glass in the pool. And it was tons of small shards. Which caused excruciating pain. We removed what we could but I just spent 4 hours having tons of pieces picked from my foot. This ruined the end of our trip and I know this isn’t the condo owners fault, it really sucks I paid to stay extra days and couldn’t even utilize them. When I messaged the person in charge of the condo they were not concerned at all and made no effort to compensate us for thiis

In love with Akumal

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Studio Natasha is a little outdated. A dehumidifier would have been nice to have. Not a lot of dishes, utensils & serving pieces in the kitchen. The heating elements on the stovetop were all bent up. We cook breakfast most mornings and had to do most of it in Studio Maria where our brother was staying. The beds are VERY firm. Studios are on the back side of the building with only 2 windows ( Kitchen door w/blinds and bathroom which also has a glass frosted door). The lights from the property shined in all night long like the Las Vegas strip so if you like to sleep in complete dark good luck. The property & beach were clean. Pool is nice overlooking the ocean although I had to clean it with the skimmer daily. It’s very dark at night. In my opinion the pool lights should to be kept on after dark for safety purposes. The security guard (Daniel) didn’t do much except set in front of his laptop instead of walking the grounds. We were watching the sunrise one morning and startled him as he was asleep on one of the beach loungers. Housekeeping service was excellent! Glenn & Barb who reside in Studio Annette are great people & so helpful. We bonded right away and enjoyed their friendship. We have stayed in Akumal several times and are in love with it. We will be back to Playa Caribe but will try a full condo next time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Playa Caribe is one of our favorite properties. We enjoyed the Studio Natasha. It was well organized, clean, and comfortable. The only thing that was difficult for me personally was the dampness in the Studio. That really can't be helped as the ground floor Studio is partially underground. It wouldn't be a problem for most, but my severe Arthritis made it more difficult. All in all though, it was a great unit, and we were happy with our stay. The management is awesome!!
