Sitzmark townhome at Purgatory - Awesome views - Steps to slopes

Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhome (Unit 13) is located in the Sitzmark Building at Purgatory Resort and offers convenience in all seasons. This is a slope side retreat right at the base of one of Purgatory’s favorite runs, Lower Hades (just walk up to the Lower Hades run from the townhome). Ski down to the high-speed six pack in the morning, and ski right back to the Sitzmark complex in the afternoon. In spring, summer and fall, mountain biking and hiking trails are just the other side of the front door.

The townhome offers plenty of space for multiple families and features an open floor plan. There are tons of games/puzzles for your enjoyment and the condo also features parking for 2 vehicles at the unit, fully stocked kitchen (including an Insta-pot), washer and dryer, WIFI and a gas grill..

Master - King (Third floor)
2nd - King (Second floor)
3rd - Queen (Second floor)
4th - Bunks Beds (2) - Single over Single (Ground floor)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Great spot for snowplay

We had a great time staying here. At the back of the house is a deck with a grill and seating and a large area for kids to have snowball fights, build a snowman, and go sledding. Plus you can ski in ski out, what could be better! The house itself has plenty of space for two families. The bathrooms were a little tight but we made it work. It has everything you need for a week vacation. Tip - have your groceries delivered through Instacart and save yourself so much time! The property management company was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you're planning to visit Purgatory in the winter. It's probably great in the summer too. Just know that there's not a lot of amenities at Purgatory, you have to drive to Durango for shops, groceries, and restaurants.

Great morning view

This is the second time staying here, my 4th year in Durango and it has been a great time each year. The rooms are on different levels which makes it easier with my teens. There are tons of utensils, cups and pots/pans. I love all the space the loft has. We had a grill for steaks with the family. Thank you for being a great host for my family & I.

Great Location

This ski-in, ski-out condo offers ultimate convenience with direct slope access. Cozy and well-equipped, it's the perfect spot to relax after a day on the mountain. Ideal for both comfort and adventure. Great for family and friends we enjoyed the space with multiple floors to accommodate kids and adults.

I wanted ski in ski out and ripping on Debbie and your this place definitely is. You walk out the back patio and take a tiny walk crossways onto the bottom of the green run YBR to get back to the condo. Just stay on it and ski around the gate and I was able to ski directly onto the patio.Also, it is a very nicely stopped condominium. A full set of matching dishes, glasses, and wine glasses. Everything you needed for cooking. They also were kind enough to provide an adequate amount of toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and even extra little goodies like linen spray for the bedsThe management company is incredibly good to work with. Very responsive and easy to get a hold of. Would highly recommend this property. This is the second time I have rented through vacation rental collective and I highly recommend them

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall was very good. The only thing is that in the description it did not mention that it was three stories high and some people might find it very difficult to go up and down. Also, it is not really ski-out, as you have to climb walking about 10 meters. The kitchen has everthing, but probably put more pots and pans, as for 8-10 people is somewhat limithe.

Amazing view of Engineer Mountain

We had an amazing time at Purgatory once again! The living room area had upgraded sofas that were not shown on the original photos so that was a nice surprise. The master suite had a bidet. The townhouse is a great ski in/ski out location. Each bathroom had a small care package which we loved. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. VRC was very responsive the entire time.

The property was exactly as described. It was a little difficult to get to the trail to ski out. You could Ski in just a bit easier. Overall, it was great place to stay!

Spacious condo, great views

The condo was very large and we had plenty of room for 6 adults to relax after a day of on the slopes. Communication with the property manager was easy and quick. Our only advice to the property manager would be to consider replacing the dishwasher in the unit with a better one and maybe giving all the dishes a deep clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying on the mountain in a ski in/ski out. We had 3 families sharing this condo. There was plenty of space and we loved the kitchen/main area. The mud room was especially appreciated being how we didn’t have to track up the house with all our ski gear! It was definitely a ski in right to the door but not a ski out. This still was not a problem being how you just had to make a very short walk on an already packed trail to the ski trail. We definitely liked the fact that there were bathrooms on each level. The only thing we wished we would hv had and didn’t find one was a broom! Very minor!

Only complaint was that We arrived during a snow storm. I would highly recommend 4WD as we were never able to make it up the steep incline to the condo. Even the other family with 4WD took till day 3 to make it up. The ski out was “sporty” day 1 as we had to make our own path to walk as there were 16” of fresh snow, but became easier each day. We found a path to ski in just past the car gate was a blast for the kids...all the way to the back door. The boys had to be pried away from the sleds after skiing hours. Great living room layout for game nights as well. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Great spot on the slope

True ski in and out condo right next to the woods and ski area. Well laid out for a big family/friend group. We would definitely stay here again.
