Welcome to "Sea'z a Dream," an immaculate 6 bedroom (all w/ private baths) home located in the exclusive and gated Buck Island Resort Community, within walking distance of the Tim-Buck-II shopping center featuring great shopping and dining options. This beautiful house will provide outstanding accommodations for a great beach vacation. The spacious layout of the house and large bedrooms provide plenty of space for everyone, while the open great room and dining area offers the perfect setting for family get-togethers. A beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops, large center island, two dishwashers and two cook tops is sure to please even the most discriminating chef. Two huge master suites (both with jacuzzi tubs), plenty of deck access, an elevator, rec. room w/ media area and pool table, and huge pool deck w/ a large private pool, baby pool, and hot tub, make this house the perfect choice for your next family vacation.

Top Floor: Large Kitchen w/ granite counter tops, 2 ranges, 2 dishwashers, dual oven, large center island w/ range & sink (3 bar stools), breakfast table (4 chairs), dining room table (10 chairs). Spacious living area w/ TV/DVD and home theater surround sound stereo system, gas fireplace, ocean views, large ocean facing deck (gas grill), powder room, King Master Bedroom w/ TV/DVD, ocean views, dual vanity and jacuzzi tub.

Mid Level: 2 Queen Master Bedrooms, and 1 Master Bedroom with 2 Twin Beds, all with TVs and deck access. Spacious laundry room w/ 2 washers & dryers. King master suite w/ TV, deck, jacuzzi tub.

Ground Floor: Game room w/ pool table, wet bar, microwave, stand alone ice maker, full size refrigerator & media area w/ 50" HDTV/DVD and home theater stereo with surround sound. Half bath w/ direct pool access. Bedroom w/ 2 Duobunks & private handicap friendly bathroom. Outside: Large pool deck w/ private pool (13x26), separate kiddy pool, hot tub (7), outside shower, gas grills.

We had a great time at this property! It was perfect for our family and had the perfect set up! The host was more than accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. The location was perfect and we will definitely be returning!

Wonderful Thanksgiving holiday week for our family. The house was comfortable and a short walk to the beach. The kitchen accomodations were great for us. We really enjoyed our time overall and would definitely stay again especially during such a quiet, relaxing time to be at the Outer Banks!

You have to come stay and see and experience it for yourself. We had a lovely family vacation staying at the sea'z a dream. The property has everything you could ask for and more. The elevator was a nice addition as well considering we had a senior dog with us and for getting all the groceries upstairs. The pool and hot tub was where we spent most of our time. Its a short beautiful walk to the beach, shops, entertainment & groceries. It was like everyone had their own hotel room within the house. They also have a cabinet full of fun family games and puzzel's! We can't wait to go back. Hurry up and book now you will not be disappointed.

Another great OBX trip

We have been staying in the OBX for 15 years and this is by far our favorite house. Not only was the house big and beautiful it was clean.

Fantastic first experience at OBX

This was our first visit to OBX for our annual family reunion and the house we rented was absolutely perfect! Couldn't be more pleased! We will definitely be back!

Be extremely careful with this company. I put forth a laundry list of issues, and the owner of the property told me a) I wasted her time with my notes, b) am now on the "do not rent list", and c) the very fact that she was corresponding with me was wasting her time.The response was basically "how dare you complain and point these things out!" Wow.Fixtures were broken, there were plumbing issues, house was dirty, there was even blood on my linens.Below is her note to me. This is an unprofessional atrocity. Potential renters should be warned appropriately. I've never seen something so wildly off-base. "How dare you complain" about a huge list of issues we ran into.'None of your complaints warrant a refund and we have actually put your family on our “do not rent” list. Your stay cost the owner a considerable amount in maintenance calls and from turning a vendor away that we were charged for. Your constant communication to my office was a waste of our time. There’s 2 dishwashers, there’s 2 washing machines. Other than the grill that was fixed for you and the tub diverter that was also fixed, nothing else needed immediate attention. This email is also taking my time. Our time spent on your stay is now officially done.'

Thank you for the review; however, the concerns raised do not accurately represent the condition of the property. The only broken fixture identified was a window crank. During a period of 100‑degree temperatures, the windows should not have been opened. A diverter in one shower/tub combination required attention, and that repair was completed during the stay. A single dead bug found in a dresser drawer was cited as evidence of the home being dirty, though the property had been fully inspected prior to arrival and was confirmed to be clean. One small spot was noted on a set of linens, and those linens were immediately replaced. The grill malfunction resulted from a propane tank being switched, which caused the gas line to crimp. Numerous calls were made to the office for matters that did not impact the quality of the stay, and multiple vendors were dispatched. In several instances, vendors were turned away, resulting in unnecessary costs to the property owner. It was explained repeatedly that vendors often do not provide exact arrival times, even when requested. Due to the pattern of complaints and the nature of the interactions, the guest has been added to the do‑not‑rent list. Other property owners are strongly advised to exercise caution when considering future rentals to this guest, as the behavior appeared to be an attempt to obtain compensation from the outset.

Memories Made

The purpose of our trip was to be able to spend our last Christmas together with my Grandmother. She doesn’t have much longer with us so I wanted to make as many memories as we could. This house helped us do that! The elevator was crucial since she is wheelchair bound. The handicapped shower was super helpful as well. The house was clean pretty well just a little dusty from lack of use perhaps? The location was great and we made the memories!

Sea’z A Dream

It was a fantastic stay and the description was very accurate. Huge piece of property and house and great location/neighborhood. It was a short walk/drive to the beach. Having the cabana club at the beginning of the beach entry was nice as well. We rented chairs and umbrellas from them several times this week. The elevator was helpful and everyone enjoyed it. The elevator doorknob on the bottom floor is loose and a lightbulb went out in the second floor vanity (the frog themed one). Thanks again! We had a blast!

First time in OBX

From the minute we got to this property until we left, we enjoyed every minute of this BEAUTIFUL property. There were 15 of us & no one felt crowded. Every room having its own en suite bathroom was amazing! No fighting over showers. Corolla is a gorgeous town, so is every place we checked out. The food, entertainment, shopping, scenery, etc. all incredible. It was convienant to everything. Even though it was a colder week, we still used the pool & hot tub, grill, the beach chairs/boogie boards etc. The house literally has everything you cpuld possibly need to make a meal. The swing on the porch was a nice touch to enjoy being outside. Beach access was close by, your teens got lots of use out of the basketball court too. All in all probably our favorite vacation EVER. We will be back, OBX can't be beat!!! Thank you for sharing this home with us!!

Great property

The location of the house relative to the beach is nice. About 3 blocks to the boardwalk over the dune. Beach is gorgeous, the beach cabana at the start of the boardwalk rents umbrellas and chairs, has bathrooms & showers, etc. All really nice. The house itself is large - plenty of room for the 13 we had along. The one criticism is the kitchen. There is absolutely no room anywhere in the kitchen to store food -- so everything was all over the counters all week. There is a cabinet that could be a pantry, but it has no shelves?? There are two grills - one upstairs on the deck and one down by the pool, which was really handy (we did one gluten free grill and one non-GF). The pool is nice - a few lounge chairs, a nice table and chairs to hang in the shade. As it is on the back (east) side of the house, you get shade by mid-afternoon, which was nice. Check in was super easy - property management was communicative, got us in maybe 30 minutes early. The gated community is nice - lap pool, pickle ball / tennis courts. Super super clean, well maintained. Very close to everything you need (groceries, fish market, shopping, etc). Overall, we liked the place a lot. Wish it was a bit closer to the ocean, as you don't have a view from the house, but it made for another great OBX vacation!

Buck Island's "Sea'z a Dream"

The house was big and very nice. The elevator made our stay a lot easier with coming and going without climbing the stairs. We loved that there was a pool, a kiddie pool and a hot tub, but due to bad weather we weren't able to enjoy ourselves with the outdoor entertainment. The area we were in was quiet for the most part until the workers remodeling the house behind us started early in the morning. We wish there had been more cabinet space or a pantry for our groceries, which took up counter space. With the lack of curtains and/or blinds in the main living area, we felt we had no privacy especially in the evening. Our family and friends enjoyed the stay and may return next year at a different time of the year and hopefully have good weather.

Fantastic property: Would recommend/rebook for future.

We had a great stay. The rooms were large, beds were comfortable, and everything was clean and operational. The room sizes and layout made it so everyone could be together but have their own space and not feel on top of each other or crowded, which is very important with a multi-family vacation and children. The way the stairs were positioned with the doorway and living room allowed voices to carry from the top floor to the bottom when needed, which was perfect for calling for our 4 children. Management was very responsive and friendly. I somehow lost my check in information email, and she was very helpful with getting us in there with the codes and even allowed us to do an early check in. There was some cobwebs in the tall lighting but I'd trade that for early check in anyday and everything else was clean and orderly. If we could share ANY "complaints" it would be that the the children had a double bunk room (which was fantastic), but it was the only bedroom on the bottom level with the pool table, entertainment system, wet bar and an all too easy access to the pool and hot tub, which made us a little uneasy. During the night, it gave them unsupervised access to expensive parts of the house and the danger of being near the pool with their own sliding door access to it. Consistently talking to them about safety/respect throughout the stay and their good behavior did a lot for us on that subject and alcohol stayed in kitchen. Pool is nice; isn't heated but not nearly as cold as I was expecting. Kids loved it and I swam more than I usually do that late in season. Hot tub was perfect. Quick, relaxing walk to the gated community's private boardwalk and small convenient parking lot with a facility cabana was a nice luxury, allowing bathrooms to be accessible when at the beach. Neighbors were friendly, area was quiet and well maintained. Location was perfectly in between the 4x4 drive on beach and the busy towns with restaurants and activities. food lion is right there n a plaza with restaurants, corolla go kart raceway and mini golf is right across the main rd. So you feel out of the way but close enough to not actually be. Make sure to bring your soaps, paper products and essential linens if you did not choose the option of renting them. Kitchen is fully stocked with some dish cloths and both grills worked great. The tall windows made for almost panoramic views of beautiful sunsets/sunrises, which was awesome. Thank you for having us. We loved it.

Great spot

The location and house were great, and wonderful amenities. The only thing we didn’t like was the 200+ dollar Harmony remotes for the entertainment systems as they were hard to use. The pool was nice and the beach was very close. Over all great experience!

The Family of the Groom

This is a nice house but it needs some upgrades. I'm physically challenged so the elevator was important and was great to have. On the other hand the bathrooms had very low toilets which was a real struggle for the seniors in the group. They need to be replaced with the chair height toilets. Also the house has so many things in the cabinets but no room for food. Lastly I've never been in a rental that didn't include bath towels.??? I didn't like that at all.

I am sorry that anyone struggled at our house. We try very hard to make it as comfortable as possible. That being said, I don't know that it is necessary for every toilet to be chair height. Some people and children need the shorter toilets. Unfortunately, it is difficult to provide the perfect accommodations for all different group configurations. We do have a pantry in the kitchen, but sometimes it gets filled with other items. We will work on clearing that out this week to have space for guests to put their food. We don't automatically include towels as this would raise the rental price by the cost of the towel rental and find some guests would rather bring them from home to keep the cost of the rental as affordable as possible. We do provide them as a rental item for guests who would prefer not to provide their own towels.

A great escape

It was so nice to get away with extended family and enjoy a week away in Corolla! So convenient to everything you could need, the community is great for biking, the beach is not overcrowded and the house was very comfortable! A little bit of a walk to the beach, but the community has a large parking lot near the beach entrance for those who would rather not walk. Easy to just enjoy your family during the pandemic and still have a great beach vacation!

Wonderful!!

Great place to stay. There was an small issue with codes getting in the gated community but contacted the property manager and all was corrected in a matter of seconds. Simply what you see in the photos is what you get. Overall would rent this house again!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful week vacationing with family! Beautiful home just as advertised. We especially enjoyed the pools and hot tub and feeding the turtles.

July 20-28 vacation

We loved our vacation and the house itself suited our needs perfectly as well as the location was perfect! Air conditioner worked better on the 3rd floor than it did on the first and second (and it was a hot week!) but nothing that made it too uncomfortable. The only other thing was the absolutely rude man at the gate which is your first experience. I won't go into details because I've already emailed twice, but he was awful and we all ended up in a yelling match while trying to enter. Everyone was upset. That said...after we all calmed down, we had absolutely wonderful vacation and we would come again.

We are so glad that your family had a great vacation and enjoyed the house! We found out that the thermostat wasn't working properly for the first 2 floors and have fixed it so that those floors are now more comfortable. We also reported the rude gate attendant to the company he works for, so that will hopefully also be addressed and future guests won't have a bad experience when entering the community.
