Montgomery Barn at High Park, Indoor Pool

This spacious 2 bedroom 2 story Barn has recently been converted transforming it into an ideal luxurious relaxing getaway. The Barns at High Park were originally built in the late 1800's and are situated in the heart of the North Devon coastline.

It offers easy access to beaches, moors, coastal path walks, cycle paths, golf courses, horticultural gardens, children friendly fun parks, and many other traditional outdoor and indoor recreational activities for those seeking a truly relaxing, yet active, break away from the stresses of day-to-day life.

High Park Barns has a secure, purpose-built 1 acre dog exercise field located on site. Designed with safety, freedom, and fun in mind, our fully enclosed field, with 1.8m high fencing, offers dogs the perfect space to run, play, and train off-lead in a safe and private environment. The dog field is open daily in the morning and evening for staying guests at no cost. Additional time can be booked during the day.

The barn is situated with 14 acres of private land. Within the grounds is a shared indoor swimming pool and hot-tub, and large natural lake featuring stunning vegetation and decked terrace.

This barn features a solid oak, super king bed in the master bedroom, all new solid oak furniture & staircase, leather sofas, recessed LED lighting and underfloor heating.

The barn has access to four 7.2kW electric vehicle (EV) destination chargers.

The barn is dog friendly, and you are welcome to bring them at £25 per dog per week or part thereof.

Great stay at Montgomery Barn

We had a lovely stay at Montgomery Barn. We had everything we needed. Location was great, we had all the supermarkets literally 5 mins down the road. We had fresh milk just down the road from the neighbors at the Milkiosk. The pool and hot tub were great. Absolutely fabulous hosts. Highly recommend and being able to take our big fur baby was a bonus.

Beautiful peaceful setting with wonderful view

Beautiful well equipped barns with a view that would be sufficient on its own! I could just sit looking out all day! Very friendly welcoming hosts. It feels 'away from everything' but only a 5 minute drive to retail park. (Too far to walk to though, you definitely need a car.) Beautiful places to visit, all short drives away. Smashing retreat, very dog friendly, would definitely recommend! Thank you to Ann-Louise & Paul!

We had a wonderful stay. the view is really beautiful from the barn and it is super comfortable but also feels done to a good standard. the kitchen is really well equipped and the swimming pool slots were real luxury too! Thank you!

Beautiful mini break

We had the most fabulous relaxing stay at high park barn, we stayed in Montgomery bark and can highly recommend. It’s so peaceful and quiet, the fixtures in the barn are all so high quality and the welcome milk and scones were such a lovely surprise. The pool and timetable set up worked brilliantly and we made good use of it each day. Location is spot on with gorgeous beaches really close by. We’ll definitely be returning again in the not so distant future!

A lovely retreat

Beautiful place to stay with great hosts

I stayed for 3 nights with some friends. The grounds, facilities and accommodation was absolutely lovely. Our host were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Just Amazing

Everything from start to finish was just perfect. We stayed October half term. We stayed in Montgomery Barn, firstly it was spotlessly clean you would never ever know it had pets staying in the accommodation no traces or hairs and absolutely no smells just perfect. The accommodation is decorated beautifully, modern, clean and warm everything you would want whilst on holiday. The grounds are beautiful too and are the views. The swimming pool was an added bonus the children loved it, the timetable works excellent plenty of time for everyone to make the most of it. So many extra little touches just made it 5 stars 🌟 You have an amazing business and we will be back, wouldn’t stop anywhere else if we come to Devon !! Thank you so much

Stunning properties and facilities

What an amazing place to stay. The location, the view, the facilities and the friendly and approachable owners. The accommodation is beautiful and so welcoming with the little added touches making you feel instantly welcomed and at home. A hidden gem that we will definitely be returning to next year. Brilliant accommodation and lovely location

Absolutely loved our stay here. Our barn was beautiful and very spacious. Myself & my husband stayed here with our 16 month old son and 3 dogs. The host supplied a travel cot & high chair which was so useful! The cleanliness was immaculate. We felt very welcomed from the minute we arrived to when we left. Also loved the allocated swim slots ensuring every barn has a private swim. Will look forward to our next stay here.

The most dog friendly holiday we have ever had

The barns and grounds are perfect for dogs. We went during low season so practically had the whole place to ourselves. The barn is so cosy and our dog was very relaxed. The barn is well equipped and there's a place for drying swimming items and dog gear in the biomass barn. So great to have access to the pool and hot tub. Plenty to do in the local area. Our dog loved running free on Westward Ho! Beach. There's also plenty of supermarkets and other shops very near by yet the barns feel so secluded and peaceful. I think we will be back again for another relaxing retreat.

Fab! Fab! Fab!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Montgomery Barn. The property is comfortable and clean with everything you need to self cater. The grounds were incredible and so peaceful. We enjoyed the swimming pool every day and the lovely walk around the lake. The site is positioned in the middle of the countryside but with beaches and shopping centres all within a 10 min drive. Anne-Louise was incredibly friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. We would recommend this place to anyone and it really is dog friendly.

Fantastic

Our second stay here. As expected but enhanced by great weather. Clean accommodation with excellent facilities. Pool and jacuzzi fantastic - especially nice to have private daily session. Instow beach great for dogs. Will definitely return.

Wonderful break

Wonderful location, wonderful place, wonderful facilities. High Park barns (Montgomery barn) had it all. The barn was spotless, high quality furniture and facility's. The information pack was very useful. Ella (our pup) didn't want to leave neither did we. We will be back many many times.

Perfect stay

Unbelievable place from the moment I got there I was in a Devon Heaven. Facilities are outstanding my family loved the whole experience, beautiful views watching the sunrise a pear over the hills. The owners are just lovely people ….definitely coming back ❤️

Relaxing and beautiful
