Enjoy our clean and affordable three bedrooms two bath three level private home with screened in decks/porches on each level overlooking a large spring, canal and wilderness. You will certainly spend your mornings sipping coffee or your evenings having dinner on the middle deck steps from a modern kitchen. The home is stocked with everything you need including WiFi, flat screen TVā€™s and a sound bar to Bluetooth your music/movies. You will love how close it is to shops and restaurants while being quiet and surrounded by nature. Our canal leads to Kings Bay/Crystal River and Gulf with no bridges. We have a covered boathouse, screened fish cleaning station and trailer parking on the property. We offer three kayaks currently (two single and one tandem sit on top). This home is ideal for large families, couples or two families since it is a three level home where you can enjoy the common areas and have privacy by retreating to the first or third floor.
Good chance you will see plenty of wildlife in the springs off our dock including manatees, otters, plenty of birds, fish, turtles and an occasional pod of dolphins. Kayak the premiere spot for manatee watching or snorkeling with Kings Springs a short 10 minute paddle!
Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking - refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, full sized stove and oven, and microwave plus all new utensils, cookware and dishes.
The master suite includes a King Bed, flat screen TV, private bathroom with a large shower overlooking the nature preserve and private balcony. The 2 remaining bedrooms each have queen beds and one room has a 2nd full bed all with high quality linens.
The quiet neighborhood is safe and secure. There is a restaurant, dive shop, national park, and an outdoor sunset bar all within a five minute drive!!! A bike trail 1 mile away.
A big grocery store is a few minutes away. Downtown Crystal River is a 8 minute car ride where you can enjoy shopping searching for antiques or strolling the sidewalks. A large mall with 8 theaters is a 10 minute drive. You will love the location, having so many restaurants, banks and shopping so close and having nature even closer!!

The house was roomy and the porch areas were great. We saw lots of birds, turtles, and alligators! The kayaks were very convenient and it was a short paddle to the larger bay. It was great that dogs are allowed and our pups loved the porch. Our family went for Thanksgiving and spent a lot of time at the house enjoying the large living area. The house was a bit dusty. Make sure to take your own toiletries, kitchen towels, cleaning spray, and toilet paper. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes/flatware but the dishwasher doesn't work well, so we hand washed everything.

We seen 4 manatees and some herrings had just hatched in a nest just outside the screen porch. Very relaxing stay. A 10 minute paddle will get you to the river.

Beautiful, Quiet Getaway

We loved staying at this waterfront home in a quiet neighborhood in Crystal River. It was a perfect location and setup for our family, traveling with three kids and grandparents. The house is a bit rustic, which suited us well, and is equipped with comfortable beds, kayaks, and a lovely screened in deck for enjoying the natural setting.

Girls get away

We had a girls get away weekend and stayed here. The place was very clean and the patio overlooking the canal was absolutely beautiful. Communication with the hosts was super easy. And the location for wanting to visit different springs was perfect. One of our favorite things to do was kayaking right off the deck into the canal and out into the bay where we saw manatees and great birds every time. It was a wonderful stay.

Area is quiet and tranquil. House is large enough for a big family or two small families. Added downstairs space could use more air conditioning to accommodate anyone sleeping. The home needs a major deep cleaning and some remodeling/tlc. Kitchen pots and pans should be updated. Bring your own paper products for more than a two day stay. The canal to get to the house can become very low during lower tides, so larger boats will not be able to get to the house. Internet and dish tv went out on our stay. Owner was very responsive on trying to fix it, but it never came through. Overall our trip was enjoyed for Scallop season 2025.

Wonderful

Property was in a beautiful location, we saw so much wildlife and the kayaks were a hit. The house does need updates, but it has charm. I would recommend bringing your own pans lol. The house was as described, except there is no sauna that was stated. Pete was great and on top of it

A wonderful getaway

Palm Springs House was a perfect place for our family to spend time. It was spacious and clean, in a nice neighborhood and conveniently located. The owner was very responsive and even stopped by at one point to make sure all was ok.The highlight of the house was the screened in back porch overlooking the canal where we sat to play games while watching the wildlife.

Crystal River Canal Hang

We wanted to see and swim with the manatees while seeing the central costal springs. This house was old school pine wood walls on a quiet street with a beautiful screen porch looking over a canal. We saw a manatee swimming up the canal our first night! We spent most of our time in the house sitting out on the porch because it was so beautiful to look out over the water with jumping fish and hear the multitude of birds calling. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed. The house was centrally located to the town of Crystal River and there were a multitude of restaurants to choose from. A minor complaint...not enough toilet paper for a one week stay. Otherwise a great stay and we would return again.

the home is older and in need of some updating. but the location is outstanding in a quiet neighborhood. the screened in porch is a perfect way to spend a very relaxing day watching all the wildlife. kayaking the area was easy and very enjoyable. i will definitely be returning.

Very close to the marina where you rent boats for scalloping. Air conditioning does not work very well on lowest floor. Otherwise everything's great

The good and the needs improvement

What to love: Location was very convenient to grocery and restaurants, plenty of parking, itā€™s on the water, comfortable seating on the deck and the provided kayaks. What needs improvement: House is showing its age and is in need of updating and brighter lighting inside, because it was chilly when we stayed extra blankets would have been welcomed.

Our family lives just outside of Orlando which is approximately 1.5 hours from Crystal River. We currently have three vacation rental locations in Crystal River with this location being our first private home.
We are all Florida natives; Pete grew up in Inverness which is the town next to our vacation home and why we chose Crystal River. We like the laid back sleepy little town feel and fell in love with the areas springs, specifically Three Sisters. What started as a weekend get a way has turned into a wonderful place we are happy to share.
We chose Crystal River because I grew up close to the springs and remember swimming in them as a kid. I enjoyed frequent field trips and summer camps to see the manatees and swim in the springs. My first scuba trip was in King Springs, around the corner from our place. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we have....
Crystal River is a quiet little town with plenty to offer. The springs are beautiful and Kings Springs is less than a 10 minute paddle from our dock. On any given morning you can see manatees and dolphin swim in the natural spring near our boathouse. From our back yard, you can boat or paddle to waterfront restaurants and enjoy the nature preserve in Kings Bay. A 7 mile scenic boat ride takes you to the Gulf of Mexico where there is fantastic fishing, nature viewing and in the summer, scallop harvesting. You will enjoy near by Homosassa Wildlife Park and Indian burial grounds which leave a lot to explore. Golf courses, bike/hiking trails close will allow for an active vacation if desired.

We really liked this home in particular because there is nature in front of us and nature behind us (including a natural spring). We also loved the layout of the house with a private master suite on the 3rd level which includes a private bathroom, large walk in shower and private balcony. The middle level offers a large screened in porch a step away from the kitchen for easy morning coffee or dinner outside. We like being on the water and close to nature with the luxuries of town close by which made this home the ideal place....
