Island Tower #1903 is a west corner gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 19TH floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1600 sq ft with 9-foot ceilings, 20 inch tile floors, floor-to-ceiling tinted windows and sliding glass doors. The kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances with double ovens all set in granite counter tops. The condo has 8 foot interior doors and high efficiency air conditioning system. The master en suite bathroom has double vanities, jetted tub and separate shower. The two guests bathrooms have tub/shower combinations. 21 year age limit to rent.

Island Tower is a 26-story building with 62 units (three on each floor) with covered garage parking (clearance 6' 8") and NO oversized vehicles are allowed on property. Island Tower is located 0.5 miles West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. The property has an infinity outdoor pool and an infinity climate-controlled indoor pool. The exercise room offers a dry sauna and workout equipment overlooking the gulf. The property also has a picnic/grill area. Island Tower is a smoke-free facility. No Monthly Rentals

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Host seemed welcoming. However, cleanliness was sub par. there was mold in master bathroom shower tub, rust on master bathroom shower head, scratched up chair in master closet. Peeling wall paint in bathroom of guest suite. Stained floor around toilet in hall bathroom. Kitchen seemed un organized with numerous coffee makers stored inside cabinet as well as on counter top. Trashy storage room in indoor pool area.

Great location. Beautiful property.

Overall this property is very nice, but the dryer needs replaced/ repaired because it takes way too long to dry clothing.

Great stay at a beautiful place

The condo was even better looking and bigger than the pictures. Of course there were miscellaneous things that were needed/being worked on, but that’s expected due to the hurricane damage that Gulf Shores experienced. The place was pretty quiet and peaceful and both elevators were working, so all in all - a pretty nice stay!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The places was nice overall. Unfortunately there were some cosmetic issues in the baseboards of the bathrooms. The place had cameras everywhere which was nice for safety concerns. They were intense about parking though. Had "security" looking at the car park constantly. My pass ripped and so it was sitting on top of the dash (obviously ripped) and they still booted my car even with the tag fully visible. This is the same "security" that didn't even check up when there were multiple groups coming off of the street and into the pool.

Our sincere apologies on behalf of Gulf Shores Rentals, Inc and the owner of Island Tower 1903. To our understanding the Association of Island Tower gives 3 warnings before a vehicle gets booted. They also have signage posted on property and printed on back of parking pass. The owner of 1903 just recently did some remodeling including new living room furniture that boasts a king size sofa sleeper, new bedding and accessories through out the unit.

great property - not a great time

This is a great property. However, we were caught there during Hurricane Sally and the property managers have still yet to return my calls or emails. Property is great. Managers are unresponsive during a not so great situation.

Thank you for taking the time to review this property, it is a beautiful condo. Our area sustained substantial damage and our company was without electricity, internet or phones for an extended period of time. We did try to reach out to guests prior to landfall and suggest that they should probably consider leaving although a mandatory evacuation was not in place. Emails were answered remotely when possible after the storm. Our records indicate that we did speak with you after the storm at which time you informed us that the local authorities would not let you leave since the area was declared a disaster and that you had to walk the 19 floors with water and other necessities. Our records also indicate that we refunded you 3 nights of your stay which included the night the storm made landfall and the two additional paid nights. As a management company we feel that we have gone above and beyond in a situation where a guest made the decision to stay in an area with a major storm approaching.

The dryer had to run through multiple cycles to dry clothes. The AC struggled to maintain 72 degrees, the oven didn’t function properly when attempting to not use the convection feature, one the two elevators was down for a day and a half which cause 20+ minute waits.

Spot on reviews

I left a list of things needing improved on We needed 3 king size beds and only got 2, listed for 3. Which was main reason we ignored the bad reviews. However they was spot on. I feel like with all the bad reviews those should of been resolved and hadn’t been. That’s just laziness and disrespectful to your guest staying in what could be a really nice condo. I don’t think the fun and sun package is very good. Better house keeping and beach supplies would be more accommodating. View was outstanding

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was nice but that’s about all this unit has going for it. Cleanliness was horrible (don't use the ice or water from refrigerator, there’s mold in there), furnishings are very worn and stained, and they failed to mention in the pre arrival email to bring basically everything you need to cook with (there wasn’t even a spatula but three keurigs!) Disappointed!

Very disappointed

I don’t like being negative but this place was a complete let down. When we arrived, none of the elevators worked, making us walk up 19 floors with all of our luggage. They would fix them and then they would break again. When they would work, you would have to wait 10 minutes for the elevator to come down. There were 2 pools, neither of them open. The gym was closed. The whole property was under construction and no one told us. The air in our condo didn’t get below 70 (good luck to anyone who books it this summer.) Shower pressure about tore off your skin or hardly worked at all. It was such a let down, especially after being so excited for this trip for the past 6 months. The pictures on here of the condo would have you completely fooled.

We are very sorry this guest didn't enjoy their stay. Before the guest arrived, we informed them about the pool situation and offered to move them to another unit, which they declined. Instead, they requested a discount, and we provided a price reduction. During their stay, they did not contact us with any other issues, so we were unable to address any concerns. We regret that their stay turned out this way, but we would have been willing to help if we had known about the other issues.

Worn out & Dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nothing worse than traveling all night to get to your condo that rents for $500ish a night to walk into dirty nasty grim everywhere. Walls and trim destroyed with 3" of grim on the edge of tile. Light switches covered in grim. Dryer did not work well and they came to "fix" it. Didn't work as the pipes are full of lint. After going to Target to buy all new pillows and bed sheets we felt like we could sleep in the beds. All remotes were dead and the condo just lacked all amenities you'd expect like a spatula to flip an egg or hot sandwich. Furniture was worn out and needs to be replaced. We thought about what we would do if we own this until and we both said we'd replace everything. We were blessed with jackhammering above us on Sunday morning at 8AM. We didn't mind it later in the day as we were at the beach but they didn't wait and we couldn't hear ourselves talk

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed staying in this condo. It was spacious and fit the 8 of us perfectly. I loved how there was a balcony from every bedroom. Beautiful view of the water. It was clean and kept up. It was nice to be right on the beach. There are 2 pools you can use, one outdoor and one indoor, both are nice. The beds were nice and comfortable. There is a washer and dryer available for use, but the dryer takes FOREVER. We wanted to wash our towels we had been using and it took several hours tor them to dry. There were a few things we didn’t care for, but it didn’t ruin our trip, by any means. The TV was not working in one of the rooms. There is no door separating the bathroom from the master bedroom. Which was such a strange thing. So showering and using the restroom was not very private. The handles of several of the doors were sticky, as if they just hadn’t been wiped down when it was cleaned. The water went out in the unit(and the entire building) one afternoon, but it was fixed fairly promptly. We did have issues with parking on site. The first day we were there we ended up having to park in public parking due to there not being any parking available on the ground level. My husband and myself have large vehicles and could not go up the ramp for the parking garage. It is stated in SEVERAL areas for smaller vehicles to park on the higher levels. There were compact cars parked on the ground level!! It was very inconsiderate of these people to not park on the higher levels. There’s a security guard that can ask them to move, but can’t make them. Therefore forcing people with larger vehicles to park offsite. Which is ridiculous. There were PLENTY of parking spots available on the upper levels. Something needs to change when it comes to that. Overall we had a great stay, we loved eating our breakfast and drinking our coffee on the balcony each day. Plenty of room for all 8 of us. We never felt like we were o

Green family beach vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent accommodations. Condo was beautiful. Only criticism I have is the elevators for the complex are very slow and somewhat unreliable. An upgrade in this area would be welcome.

Beautiful views and elegant taste but.....

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is nice! 2 balconies, beautiful views of the ocean and bay plus its location is great!On the flip side..Its a little pricey for the sq footage.NO BATHROOM DOOR of the main bedroomThe shower head pressure in the guest and main bathroom was so hard that it hurt to shower.The dryer barely worked. Had to run 3 cycles to dry 4 towels.MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!!!!!If you drive anything the size of a SUV or larger plan to have a HARD or almost impossible time parking on the property. You can only park downstairs or across the street in Free Public Parking. If its peak season or during a event/concert its gonna suck. Gulf Shore Rentals asked me to "go eat somewhere and come back" after driving 9hrs to get there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself was nice. The cleaning job, not so great. Immediately upon check-in, we noticed several things that were filthy. I'm not one to be petty, so I won't list all the things we found. Suffice it to say that for $4500/wk, I expect it to be spotless. Other than that, we had a great stay. The accommodations were nice. It needs a little more maintenance on little things. But we really liked how quiet the place was with only 3 units per floor. I'd sray here again, but the housekeeping needs to pay more attention to detail.

A Great View and Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was very nice; only complaint were dirty baseboards and some paint issues in the bathrooms; molded baseboards around the tub. Shower curtains were way too long for the tub, making for an awkward shower. Other than the bathroom issues, the condo was perfect for our family and offered a wonderful view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a great location and our family enjoyed being in this unit. It provided a beautiful view and there was very good dishes, pots and pans, etc. The living room rug looked dirty and could be replaced. The toilet tank in the front bedroom was full of mold and needs to be cleaned. Overall, we were very happy.

Great property. Kitchen cooking pots/ pans disappointing. Actually terrible. Oven non functioning. Maintenance kindly brought us small toaster oven. Furnishing are lovely.
