Family getaway

Mary Ann is fantastic host! We absolutely loved our stay. Just couple of minutes from the beach. We do recommend renting a golf cart to get around.

Wonderful visit

We had a lovely time at your house. The house and kitchen are stocked with everything you could ask for. Great neighborhood and very close to town.

Great Getaway Weekend

This was a very nice home, well appointed. Everything was clean and comfortable and the hostess was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again! 5 stars!

Comfortable and everything we needed

We had a great time. Communications with our host were prompt, kind, and thorough. The home is full of lovely inviting furnishings and everything you could need is there. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. The neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed being close to the state park.

Host has thought of everything!

Mary Ann has set up a lot of nice little touches so you either don't have to pack everything or if you forget something. This was our first time being able to bring our dog and our gal loved the fenced in yard. This house is the perfect size for a small family.

Needed solitude

I needed a week of quiet reflection and this house was perfect. It was a long way from the beach, so there was no noise or commotion, but close enough to walk or drive to the beach when needed. Nice house!

Nice Beach Getaway

Such great attention to all the details of an easy stay! All you need to bring is your food, drinks, your clothes, and family. We enjoyed our time with the sound of the waves and the sea breezes on the porch. Such a comfortable house. And a great host. And a wonderful part of Galveston! Just need to know the beach isn’t an easy walk because of the small drainage ditch that runs the width of the neighborhood. But that said it’s a quiet pretty area and we enjoyed walking our dog through the neighborhood as well as the beach. Looking forward to next time!

Wonderful Place to Stay

My husband and I, along with our two little dogs, had a wonderful, relaxing 10-day stay at Coconut Villa in October. Mary Ann is the most accommodating host ever. Her home is very comfortable and she has equipped the kitchen with everything you could ever need. The two decks are nicely furnished—perfect for enjoying the breezes and cooking on the new, top notch, gas grill. The backyard is well maintained and completely fenced which was a big draw for us with our dogs and much appreciated. We rented a golf cart that was delivered to the home when we arrived making our daily trips to the beach super easy and enjoyable. Last but not least, the location is in Pirates Beach which is our favorite place to stay on the island.

Fabulous Property

The pictures just don’t do this property justice. It’s even more beautiful in person. Everything is there that could be needed for a stay. We wanted for nothing. Owner is a pleasure to do business with and returns text and calls promptly. Very easy to book, and coordinate. We just loved it. So many great things to do in Galveston. While it’s close to town; it’s far enough away to give that private feeling. Neighborhood is beautiful, close to the beach. Everything was perfect. We will definitely stay at CoconutVilla again in the future. Thank you MaryAnn for everything!!!

Fully stocked house

It is very apparent the owners love and take care of this home. It is fully stocked with spices, dishes, soaps, shampoo, lotions, beach towels, beach shoes, and just about anything else you can think of. Some of the furnishings has an older, antique type feel to them. Some of the furniture was a bit wobbly (end table and a bar stool). The home swayed a bit at times either due to wind or people moving around. Not sure if that is normal in a beach home on stilts as this is our first time staying in one. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the location. While it may only be a 5 minute walk, it's not ideal access. One thing to note about pet-friendly... Owner has to approve your pet and pet fee was $150 for a 15 pound dog for 4 nights.

I'm glad you enjoyed the amenities in the home! The houses on stilts do move a bit unlike homes built on the ground. It is two long blocks to the beach but there are places to park cars at the end of the subdivision streets if guests want to drive, which is recommended if carrying chairs, coolers, etc.

Gals-veston Beach getaway 2021

Our trip was nothing short of perfect and this house has everything! In all of the years I have stayed in VRBO's, Coconut Villa, hands down, was the most fully stocked home I have had the pleasure of staying in. Although not on the beach, the location was perfect and off the main street to Pirate's beach which was nice. You could still enjoy the ocean breeze and hear the crashing of the waves at night. The home is very inviting and comfortable and Mary Ann's extra's were a welcomed treat and the beds were most comfortable too! Being a newbie to the Galveston beach scene in summer, I didn't rent a golf cart early enough and the few places I called were sold out. As an added bonus, Mary Ann went above and beyond to facilitate a golf cart rental for us which turned out be be a better deal than the more advertised places!! Although you can walk to the beach, the golf cart rental is recommended - makes it easy to dash back home for anything you may have forgotten and easier to carry chairs and beach toys. This home is pet friendly too which was of utmost importance to me. Great yard and hose down stairs to rinse off your pets after the beach before coming up to the fabulous deck (there's even a shower for us with HOT water!!) You'd be remiss to pass on this property and the great service provided by Mary Ann! Thank you again for everything Mary Ann! Look forward to returning.

Loved our stay!

We had a wonderful stay with our entire family, including dog and baby, for thanksgiving! Mary Ann was so helpful and communicative. She even helped us make sure we had all kitchen appliances and pans we needed to cook our thanksgiving meal. Great location in pirates beach!

Great home

Great place for a long weekend near the beach. We have two small dogs and the property is very pet friendly with fully fenced yard. Property owner very accommodating and accessible. Will stay again.

Lovely property.

We had a wonderful time at the property. It is so accommodating. The place is very clean. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen we have ever used. We cooked every night and it lacked for nothing. Lots of nice little extras all over the house. Beach equipment, sunscreen, beach towels, wonderful toiletries, flip flops, bug spray, so many nice touches! The beds are so comfy and the AC keeps the house very comfortable. Beautiful deck with a nice grill. Great neighborhood. Wonderful location. Fenced yard made it so easy for our dog, and the gated deck. Wonderful experience.

Cozy house for our family with new baby

We loved this house for my husband and I who stayed downstairs and our daughter and husband and new baby who took the upstairs bedroom. There was plenty of room and the outside deck is wonderful for relaxation. Our small dog enjoyed the space and there is a gate to keep everyone safe at the top of the stairs. The house was immaculate and the kitchen very well stocked. It’s a very quiet location and furnished beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with our family.
