Birds of Paradise, Across the Street from Beach, Amazing Balcony View

Birds of Paradise is located at one of North Padre Island's newest vacation destination resorts, Padre Beach View Townhomes. It features a 2 story townhome with an open floor plan on the first floor and 3 bedrooms plus a loft area on the second floor.

A full kitchen with a large granite island and everything needed for cooking and dining including plates, cups, silverware, and pots and pans is on the first floor. Also on the first floor is a large dining room table that seats 8 and a spacious living room to accommodate a large gathering. There is a cabinet bed in the living room that opens up into a queen size bed. A 1/2 bath and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer are also conveniently on the 1st floor. Outside, there is a fenced in patio with a picnic table and extra seating.

All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, an en suite full bathroom and a private balcony with a stunning view of the beach. Guest bedroom #1 has a king size bed and guest bedroom #2 has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom and twin size bed on the top plus a pull out twin size trundle bed. A loft area with a day bed plus the second full bathroom are also on the 2nd floor.

TVs are provided in every bedroom, in the loft area and in the living room. Cable and wifi are provided.

This unit has 2 reserved parking spaces and extra parking is available along the street. Only one other unit stands between you and the beautiful salt water pool or you can take a short walk to the beach. Restaurants and stores are just a short drive away.

Pros: location was great, close to the beach and community pool. Had WiFi available- but spotty. Cons: Not cleaned properly, dishwasher smelled horrible, fridge-the ice kept coming out when you would close door, water filter needed to be replaced, had to wipe down the entire inside. Couch recliner did not work properly assuming from wear and tear.

Good place to stay

The Location was great, had some problems with the plumbing and electrical on that unit but was not that big of a deal. The View from the balcony was awesome.

Perfect Beach House

My family had a wonderful stay. The location of the property is amazing and overlooks the ocean! Plenty of room for everyone and the large sectional was perfect for movie nights. We will definitely be staying again!

Weekend at the beach

Great location. Pool was nice. Lots of comfortable beds. The close proximity to the beach was nice and there is a great view from the upstairs balcony. The cleanliness could have been a little better. Overall a great weekend.

The condo is in a wonderful location. There were some concerns when I checked in… the owner came by to address them, however they really were not resolved. He mentioned that he will be getting a new refrigerator, which is essential!!! I recommended some other issues that I hope he addresses before renting again.

Quick get a way

Overall the location was great for my family! Whenever I had a question the owners responded quickly. The beach was in walking distance which was perfect and the kids had a blast at the pool. Other than being a great spot, the only thing I’d suggest is get universal remotes for all of the TV’s. I would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed with the condo

Very dirty, needs remodeling, new towels, sheets, kitchen supplies, disposable didn’t work, ran out of toilet paper and trash bags, not enough hot water, no trundle bed as promised and cabinet bed was so dirty. Faucet pulling out of wall in upstairs bathroom, no soap in showers, grill is miniature. Very disappointed in almost everything about the place and much better off to stay somewhere else.

Beautiful condo, great location, great owner!

We rented this place for a mini vacation and arrived to a very clean welcoming place. We were 6 adults and 5 kids with plenty of space. All the basics are provided in the kitchen. The location is great, right across the street from the beach. Upon our stay we encountered some issues that Randy (the owner) responded to promptly. We will definitely return! Thank you Randy!

Nice stay

Didn't get to check in on time due to condo being cleaned. Nails sticking out of bunk beds. Missing blades on one of the ceiling fans. Overall nice stay.

Great condo, would stay again.

The condo was almost completely as advertised. The grill on the back patio was not the full size Weber as in the pictures, but a miniature (the size I had on the balcony of my first apartment). There were 2 TV's not working but the manager called me to say he was coming to replace them before we realized. You can in fact see the gulf from the upstairs balcony, but not the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Summer Vacay

Great location. Excellent communication with manager. Was roomier and nicer than the pictures looked. Very nice and had everything we needed for our stay. So lovely to watch the ocean and the full moon from the balcony. Quiet and coneneint beach access. We will definitely book here next time. Wondering if you need a golf Cart? I would definitely biok the cart for your “on the beach” days for sure. Make it very convenient to go to and from without having sand in your car. 💗🌴🦀🐠☀️

Almost Perfect!

We loved the townhome themes, colors, and layout. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, glass plates, bowls, and cups. Mixing bowls, pots and pans, small Tupperware, large cutting boards, and a decent coffee maker and blender in addition to the large appliances made our stay smooth and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable, the linens seemed fresh and smelled like mild detergent. The bathrooms were perfect, the water pressure and cleanliness of the bathrooms was on point. There were plenty of shower/pool towels, although we didn’t end up using the pool. The beach was visible from the balcony across the sand dunes and the home was very near to a parking area for beach access that offered a ramp down to the beach with changing rooms, showers, and restrooms nearby. Be sure to bring a wagon to cart your belongings from the parking spot to the doorway as it is a small distance. The only improvements I could recommend would be to provide a baking sheet and dishwasher soap for the kitchen, repair the sensitive ice button on the freezer, and maybe focus on cleaning more thoroughly. We found a lot of sand on the dining table when we arrived and some empty candy wrappers under the loft bed, but easily cleaned it up.Overall it was a fantastic stay and I would recommend to friends and family, AND I would gladly rent again!

Crab shack condo

We enjoyed our maiden voyage to padre island seashore. With a 5 year old in our family group, plus some wind and rain we did not explore much but instead focused on specific locations such as the aquarium. We did tour the Lexington which proved to fascinate our granddaughter along with the rest of the family. We chose Mexican ( loved the Acapulco), then seafood (enjoyed the water street oyster bar, and then BBQ (at rudy's). Spotted a sea turtle early by mile 218 and called "ark" who sent a supervisor within 15 minutes. The turtle was weak and beached as the tide went out, the rescuer said it was infected by a virus but could be healed! Those things don't happen (to me) everubday.

Disappointed

A great location, but disappointed in many things in the unit. Such as: Bathtub didn't work TV's didn't work upstairs No deadbolts Fan for the third bedroom did not work, had to buy one. Dirty floors Lipstick on glasses Refrigerator light out Warped cookware Cheap coffee maker with carafe that didn't fit properly Furniture very used and in need of cleaning This condo was not the standard we expected for the price we paid!

6 day stay

So we got to our condo on a monday. Called the property manager about tvs not working in two of the bed rooms. Both being kids rooms he sent someone over to check it out. They still could not get them working and said they would get them replaced for us. Never happened. The AC is also not working. Condo never got under 83. Had to run to walmart and buy multiple fans to make it barable. There were multiple thinga broken in this unit. The fridge is beoken in multiple areas. The couch recliner is broken. The kids room bunk beds is said to have a trundle for but there is no matress in it. The location is amazing and we did enjoy sitting on the balcony late at night. Condo over all is beautiful just needs some things updated to make more comfortable. The swiming pool is great for the kids!!

Needs cleaning

We wanted to have a girls weekend and planned a few months in advance, we went knowing a hurricane was approaching and despite the bad weather we need enjoy the location and time away. However the townhouse needs to be cleaned throughly baseboards, food in cup holders on couch, huge nasty dust bunnies throughout, and missing selves in the fridge. I suggest bringing your own towels as the ones provided are so worn out they don’t absorb water. Bring your own toilet paper, paper towel. Hand soap, and dish soap as there was very little provided. They balcony door, door at bottom of the stairs, and small window in living rooms leak water in the rain so they may want to fix. Directions for parking and explanation of entrance should be rewritten as we were unaware of where our spots actually were located because they aren’t directly in front of our unit. We appreciated the manager coming back to earn us if possible power outages during the storm. We had a fun weekend and would Be back just need to clean more and update somethings.

Disappointed is an understatement.

Impressions: DIRTY, disappointing, not what we expected for the price we paid, and wayyy overpriced! Kitchen counter full of crumbs. Fridge took until the next morning to actually get cold. Bought freeze pops for the kids, and they never froze! Every single dish we used we had to hand wash it first. They were caked with food remnants. Which makes sense when the closing instructions say to start the dishwasher, but they leave no pods or soap to use in it. We stayed for 4 nights, and were left with 1 trash bag, 1 roll of paper towels, and 1 roll of toliet paper in each bathroom. Extras would have been helpful, especially for the price you are charged. We assumed that they would have beach vacation home items such as a wagon, cooler, pool and beach toys, etc. Not the case, there was nothing. This place has not had more than a clorox wipe swipe on any surface, baseboard, high touch area, or wall in a very long time. Again, I am on vacation, paying a very high cost to stay (much higher than the listed nightly price for some reason).... shouldn't it be clean? There were inches of dust on most surfaces, fans, and decor. Then couch was big, but was so dirty, it felt crusty to sit on. There were nails sticking out of the bunkbed. The kids room had a broken fan with no blades, and mangled metal. There was open food in the bunkbed stairs. There was food smeared inside the trundle bed. Was refunded the cleaning fee. Not good enough. I would never stay here again.

Overall good experience

My family visits these condos each year, for the past four years. You can see the beach from the balcony and having so many outdoor shower options nearby was nice just to wash the sand off your feet. House is well stocked with equipment you may need during your stay and check in was a breeze. Overall, good time. Thanks!

Would Stay here again - GREAT VIEW

My family, my dad especially really enjoyed our stay. So much so my dad is ready to go on another vacation next year!! This condo was perfect, really loved the giant island in the kitchen, to the open living area. washers and dryers on site. and a GREAT view of the beach for the morning sunrise and coffee. If you need a reset this place will give it to you.

it here as much as we do. We would like to share a little about us. We enjoy the beach and it has always been a part of who we are. We loved it so much we were
married on the beach on Mustang Island located between North Padre and Port Aransas. We have six children, 7 grandchildren and
counting, who all live either in Corpus Christi or close by. Although our
Home is in Corpus Christi, we spend most of our Holidays and family
time here on the island.
We started with one unit at Beach Club on Whitecap but have
quickly grown to multiple condos on North Padre Island. We are always
excited to find “the next great condo” and have fun as we try to figure
out what theme and charm to bring to that one. We currently have
several new units under Construction, Aside from our own units; we
manage other units for some of our friends or family.
We enjoy decorating and giving each unit its own unique and fun
personality. and try to incorporate “fun colorful beach schemes” that we
wouldn’t be brave enough to use at home.
We try hard to give our guest the vacation of a lifetime, with all of the
amenities and comfort you would find at home. We pride ourselves on
the fact that we try to go above and beyond and are always open to
suggestions from our guest. We are available 24/7 for any questions or
needs you may have.
