This was the perfect beach house for our family and dog! We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck and playing corn hole on the side yard. We would watch the boats go by and the people were always friendly. The screened in porch was very relaxing too. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The walk to the beach wasn’t too long and kept us in shape! We had a great time!!!

Summer getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The back deck, screened in porch and canal were the perfect outdoor spaces. The owner was very easy to communicate with and he responded back immediately. The neighbors were all nice too.

Great place to stay

My family has been coming to OCMD for a few years and this was hands down our favorite place! The owner was helpful and easy to reach. Everything was as described. The house was beautiful, clean, and had plenty of space for our family of 5 and our dog. All the beds were very comfortable. The outdoor space and sunroom were amazing and the area was pleasantly quiet. We also really enjoyed the quick walk to the beach. Overall, it's a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us and making our vacation memorable! We hope to return next summer.

Ocean City canal home.

We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s home! The large dock was a favorite for crabbing, fishing and paddle boarding! We enjoyed the screened in porch every day and had just a short walk to the beach. The layout of the home was great and we will definitely stay again! Thanks Brian!

A nice week at the beach

We had a very nice week at Channel Buoy. The house was great. It had everything we needed and was very clean. It was great having access to the pier so we could use our boat for fishing or just to watch the sunset.

Great Stay

As usual, this was a great stay at OCMD. Very clean and as described. Location is great and nice to walk and eat along with going to the beach. All amenities you could want, it had.

Very quiet

Quiet and clean. Nicely stocked kitchen. Newer, updated furnishings. Enough seating and space for a family of 4. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and the screened in porch. Very quiet residential street. Would recommend the description be updated to clearly indicate bath towels and bed sheets are not provided. Overall, a relaxing week at the beach with family!

Home away from home

Check in was seamless. The property was as described. I loved that the kitchen was fully stocked & had all the amenities I needed minus ice maker not operating but this is a convenience I enjoy at home. Only comment I have is they may want to invest in new over toilet organizer shelf as they are rusting. Overall beautiful home😊

Hat Trick Summer on Channel Buoy!

Just checked out of another wonderful two week stay on Channel Buoy! Brian and Heather’s place has everything needed for a wonderful get away! There is a fully stocked kitchen (where they have thought of everything that you may need), to a large deck, fenced in yard, and screened in porch! Whether you are relaxing with a glass of wine overlooking the canal or in a challenging corn hole tournament showing up your young adult children in the side yard you’re bound to have fun! Truly the best part of this Channel Buoy treasure for us was being able to bring our dog to be with our family while we had another wonderful year making memories with our twenty something young adults and their girlfriends! Looking forward to more fun and relaxation on Channel Buoy in summer 2024!!!

Another great vacation at Channel Buoy! We are always very happy with our stay here the house is always clean and welcoming. Our son loves the dock and the yard works well for our labs. The street is quiet and the short walk to the beach is very convenient. Brian is a great host checking in and keeping us updated as well as quickly responding when something unexpected comes up. We had an awesome stay. No complaints whatsoever. Our family loved this house. Great outdoor space along the canal. Used our kayaks. Well stocked. Great place that allowed our small pets. Neighbors were friendly. Highly recommend!

Family-friendly house on the canal, with a quick walk to the beach.

What a great week we had! We love staying in the northern part of Ocean City - still close to restaurants, mini golf, etc., but far from the Boardwalk/night life/younger renters. The street and surrounding ones are quiet and offered a nice area for a morning walk. The street the house is on has a crosswalk across Coastal Highway steps away from public beach access, so it's a straight shot each day. Our feet were in the sand after an under-10-minute walk. The lighted intersection also means that it's an easy left turn onto the house's street - no OCMD U-turns needed. The house was great for our family of three, but we easily could have had another couple (or a couple more kids) with us and it still would have been comfortable. The living area is bright and open, with no bedrooms adjacent. The kitchen has a nice pantry with open shelving for food and supplies for the week, and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and spices. The main bedroom has a big TV that my gamer husband was glad to see (be sure to bring a HDMI cable so you can connect your gaming system or a laptop for streaming). Having the washer/dryer in the main bedroom's en suite also was really convenient, as I could do late-night laundry without waking my kid in the next bedroom. We loved the rear deck with the canal view and nice-sized screened-in porch (with overhead fan - a great place to enjoy your morning coffee) - plenty of spots for relaxation. Brian, the owner, was nice and very responsive when we were reserving the house, the week leading up to our reservation, and during our stay. Any questions were promptly and completely answered. I really appreciate being able to work directly with the owner rather than a property management company responsible for multiple properties. Thanks for a wonderful week - we hope to be able to stay here again!

We had another great year on the bay! This is a house and location you can never go wrong with. Being able to bring our labs along for vacation makes it even more enjoyable. Thanks for being pet friendly yet so clean you'd never know there were dogs there. Can't wait for the 2023 season!!

⛱️ Channel Buoy Beach House ⛱️

This little north ocean city gem has everything you need for a great beach getaway. Well-equipped kitchen, super comfy living room sofa and can't say enough about the stainless steel washer and dryer - towels dried faster than my full size dryer at home! Owner also has a beach cart and cornhole as well as many little extras....ran out of Old Bay- there was some in the cupboard! Made crab dip- she had a casserole dish! We've been coming to Ocean City for 50 years- have stayed up and down that strip - we just love this little house. Only thing missing is a scale- so many good restaurants and boozy drinks within walking distance. ❤️ Will stay again in the future.

Fabulous

Perfect location for an amazing vacation. The home is equipped with all you need. We spent most of our time on the deck or at the beach. We cooked our meals and basically just hung out. It was just what we needed. Friendly neighbors, a few blocks to the beach, you can’t beat it!

Great place and excellent time in OCMD.

House was very clean and perfectly located to the bay and ocean. You could walk to the beach or sit on the back dock and relax. Host went out of his way to make sure everything was good to go.

Fun Thanksgiving!

We had a great time in this beautiful and well kept cottage over Thanksgiving. It had everything we needed. We were happy to find it well stocked with kitchen gadgets to cook a great dinner. The deck and porch are also great. The street is quiet and the cottage is within walking distance to several stores. We visited with our family staying in the high rise condos easily, as it’s less than half a mile down the road and there is a crosswalk across the highway to easily get to the beach (cool bonus for the kids- the beach is under construction in the off season- really cool to watch the pipe being laid!). It was easy to communicate with Brian, and we had no issues the entire time. Exceeded my high expectations !

Vacation 2021

I had been very excited about this trip with my immediate family including my dogs. The first time ever vacationing with our dogs. Our plan didn’t go as I had hoped when my daughter called to tell me the day before our trip she has covid so of course she couldn’t come. So I didn’t know how the trip would be without her and then worrying about her. We ended up having a wonderful time having my dogs there and being able to have a boat was a great distraction. If I would of booked our normal spot it would of been different. We all felt at home and comfortable whether sitting on the deck or in the screened in porch or just watching the boats and kayaks go down the canal. Location was excellent too. Not too busy like downtown and close to spots we enjoy too. Thanks again.

OC MD 2021

We typically come to OC Md every year but stay over in the ocean pines area. We loved staying in this new location, near the beach, shopping, and restaurants while still able to bring our boat and the dogs! :) Fishing wasn’t the best this year but that didn’t spoil the fun! House is lovely….well maintained and kitchen nicely stocked. Small but nice yard for the dogs. Very quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

My name is Brian and I live in the Washington DC Metro Area. I have been visiting Ocean City for over 20 years. I have always dreamed of owning a home here and a few years ago my family and I invested in this property. We spend as much time as we can there but we can't spend our entire summer there so we want to open it up for rentals.

We looked at many properties but it was the deck, dock and screened in porch that sold us on this place. The close proximity to the beach and shopping (Walk to the original Green Turtle!!) was also a huge bonus. We have spent many evenings eating crabs and steaming clams on the porch. We hope our renters love it as much as we do!

The large dock and the easy access to the bay really makes this ideal. This part of Ocean city is also very residential. There are many full time family residents who live on this street. Even in the middle of July the top of this street is very quiet and ideal for families. Unlike every other street in Ocean City, this street has all its utilities underground. This makes for a very clean and pleasing view on the street.
