Take a step back in time with one of these 3 newly restored cottages in the heart of Laguna Beach. Built as a seaside retreat in the 1930’s, our cottages have endured as a magical escape to California’s “Surf and Sand” fun. Freshly restored in 2015 with our unique vision of the 1930s to 1950s beach ambiance. Located only 1/2 block from Coast Highway you will have easy access to the beach and all of the great restaurants, and "outdoor fun” that Laguna has to offer. Bring your guitar, favorite books, and festive party spirits. Large front yard for relaxing with views of the ocean. Easy parking. (2 cars per cottage). Internet, laundry, fully stocked kitchens, & queen sized beds in each cottage.

There is an electric vehicle charger in our parking lot available for guest use.

Three charming 1935-1955 cottages only 500 steps from the waves of the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the best places to recreate and that Laguna Beach has to offer.

The property is on a large 10,000 sq ft parcel, in the very heart of the city. Take a trip back in time to stay in California’s last surviving intact beach community.

Check-In is anytime after 3:00 pm and Check-Out is 11:00 am.

- Large front yard for relaxing with views of the ocean.

- Easy parking for 2 cars per cottage. Internet, laundry, fully stocked kitchens, queen beds in each cottage.

Sweet cottage in a great location

The cottage was exactly as described, very charming and beachy, and we loved it! The beds were really comfortable. The only thing lacking was any kind of tin foil, saran wrap or any pantry items, other than salt/pepper, but there is a Ralph's close by.

Relaxing Girls Weekend

We loved staying in this cute cottage! It was very clean and bright and we had everything we needed. We were able to walk everywhere and never needed our cars. The owner is very responsive and check in was easy. Highly recommend!

Stay Summary

Good Location, easy access, nice yard, the house was clean. Was very hot inside on arrival and took a while to cool off, could use a fan in the downstairs bedroom (we brought our own) as I got hot in there even with A/C on, a posting should mention limited closet space if any. Some repairs need to be made, cabinet door by the refrigerator, lamp lense in the living room (was that way on arrival). Very minimal pots and pans. Overall the property worked for our stay.

Not as listed; poor communication.

Property was in a good location but the accommodation was not as advertised. Furniture and fixtures were broken and poor quality. Not enough seats for our family of four. Bare bones kitchen that we never used as it was inadequate. This is a step or two up from camping. Repeated attempts to communicate with property management went unanswered.

Beautiful stay

Beautiful accommodations and perfect location. So close to everything that we just parked and walked everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the area and loved the quick beach access.

Great location, basic kitchen

The house is in a fantastic location in downtown Laguna Beach, easily walkable to the ocean, shops, restaurants and a Ralph's two blocks away. It's very clean, and the bed in the upstairs room was very comfortable! The kitchen is basic -- salt and pepper only, and none of the items like olive oil, spices, etc., you hope to have if you're planning to do some cooking. Similarly, I asked for dish towels (there's no dishwasher), and got one dishtowel. Some of the photos online are outdated and/or appear mixed up with another property. The living room is now a three-person sofa (no chaise portion), and the kitchen table has been swapped out (the chairs would benefit from new cushions that haven't been repurposed from outside). There is one small outdoor area, with a picnic table. Response times and communication from the owner were mixed.

Perfect Beach House

We rented this place for my daughters 18th birthday weekend. It couldn’t have been more perfect! Great location! Great parking. Walking distance from downtown Laguna Beach. We were very happy, we’ll rent again & highly recommend:)

Blue Cottage Review - Recommend But Could Use Some Enhancements

Clean, old style beach cottage. Very easy check in and out. Could use a patio table and chairs out back vs the old picnic table and maybe some beach chairs and a sun umbrella. No instructions as to how to turn on the patio lights and mgr did not respond to my text. Not a big deal. Could use a pedestal fan downstairs and upstairs to help direct the AC air. The fees and charges pushed the nightly cost over $400. Quiet, nice neighborhood and close to everything.

Perfect stay by the beach!

My friends and I loved the cottage! It is very well taken care of. It is in a perfect location. Right down the street from the beach, Ralphs, shops, & coffee shops.

Perfect cottage by the beach

The location of the house was ideal - close to the beach and restaurants. The house itself was clean, well-stocked and comfortable. The perfect size for our family. If I am being picky, the upstairs bedroom gets a little warm, but this is easily solved by planning ahead and turning on the a/c unit a few hours before bedtime. We would definitely stay here again!

The good and the bad…..

Location is great for walking to Orange Cafe for breakfast, smoothies right around the corner, a great gym right across the street where you can get day and weekly passes, Ralph’s for groceries and a 10 minute walk into the Village for dining and shopping. The courtyard is very quaint and private. Spent a lot of time there. The cottage is very small with slanting ceilings on the second floor so plan on putting small kids upstairs. The condition inside is very worn. Bathroom and kitchen sink area could definitely use new caulking and some freshening up. Rent this space for the convenience of the location and not so much for the interior of the cottage.

Perfect

This is the perfect place to sleep if you're just wanting to hang out at the beach all day. It was a little low on extra blankets and towels, so bring some beach towels of your own, and since there's no dishwasher, I'd recommend bringing disposable plates and cups, but otherwise, the beds were super comfortable, and it's been beautifully decorated. We loved being within walking distance of downtown Laguna and a 3min walk to the beach. Since the house is clean, crisp, and white, I also recommend bringing a sleeping mask if morning sun waking you up might be an issue ;) We would definitely book again.

Loved this property and Neil was great to work with! The only drawback is the one bathroom but it worked out fine ! The location is pretty central to everything but the house is secluded and peaceful!! It was a great time!

I want to start by saying thank you for opening up this jem of a home to people looking for a nice get away. Location couldn't be better. Walking distance from everything Laguna has to offer yet tucked away for privacy. Well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bath. If I ever visit Laguna again I hope the dates work out to stay with you again. Very professional care from the reservation until our departure. Mahalo again..
