Welcome to Villa Tortuga! Tortuga means "turtle" in Spanish. It is a gated, well maintained property in a well-established neighborhood in Christiansted. This lovely home sits on just under an acre of lush, tropical paradise. Brilliant flamboyant trees and sea views greet you as you enter through the gate. Your first steps through the front door of this vacation paradise draws your eyes immediately to the spectacular view. As you step out onto the newly built, incredible 1000 square foot deck, the views become even more breathtaking. The expansive deck has several vignettes to enjoy breakfast, dinner, relax, read a book or soak up the sun. The views this home have are paramount. On clear days you can see St. John to the left. As night falls, the view becomes a stargazer's paradise. The home decor is both elegant and tropical. It has dark mahogany furnishings, accented with vibrant Caribbean colors. There's a 50" flat screen TV in the living room (complete with Netflix) and a flat screen TV in the master bedroom. The master bedroom also features an en suite bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen size bed. Villa Tortuga is serene and peaceful, yet it's only 5 minutes from downtown Christiansted, shopping and restaurants. If you choose to cook at home, Villa Tortuga is also only a few minutes away from the local supermarket. Open the doors to your Caribbean getaway at Villa Tortuga!

Stunning views and beautiful property

We came here for a long weekend and already are looking to come back! This property is in the perfect location with an absolutely unbelievable view of town! The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had and the house is complete with anything you would need. We love love love this property and can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

Outside Christiansted

Had a very nice stay. Breezes were great up on the hill. Just a couple minutes to Christiansted. James was very easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

Reunion with daughters

My two daughters and I spent a lovely week in this fabulous villa! This was my 7th visit to Villa Tortuga and I hope to return for many more! The views are unparalleled and all the comforts of home are available. Who could ask for more!?!

The house was exactly what we were expecting. The view was a million-dollar view. We would come stay there again for work or actual vacation. The owner was very quick to respond to any inquiries that we had. He was also very informative about the house with the guest manual.

The best place ever.

Let me start off by saying this was the best experience our group could have asked for. The manager Matt pick us up from the airport and showed everyone the whole property and its amenities. The owner and the house manager made this experience one that I will always remember. Thanks so much for bein professional and going above and beyond for our trip.

Beautiful View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful deck in the hot tub, dining, or just gazing at the view. The house was nicely furnished, with plenty of beach towels and bath towels. We also used the sand toys, nice beach chairs, snorkel gear, and washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable and sleeping with the breeze coming in was the best! We would recommend this house to anyone! Thank you James!

Central Location with Amazing Views

We loved our stay at Villa Tortuga! The home had lots of nice accommodations including beach towels, water bottles, beach chairs etc. The location is great - outside of busy Christiansted but also a quick drive to amenities. Also very easy to drive to Frederiksted/Cane Bay etc. We spent a few nights in the hot tub relaxing after long beach days which was such a nice addition. The gate/house code was easier to figure out. If you type in "Villa Tortuga" into Google Maps, it navigates you right to the house which is helpful in the dark! If we return to St Croix, we will certainly stay here again!

Private home with scenic views

We had a lovely stay at Villa Tortuga. While near Christiansted, the property is very private and secluded with gate entry. Situated upon a high hill, views of the harbor are splendid. We did not miss a sunrise, which can be enjoyed from the deck or living room, which has expansive windows and sliding glass doors. The kitchen had a few items to help us get started, which we appreciated. The host was very responsive to all of our questions. If you don’t mind a bit of a hike, go to Jack and Isaac’s beach. Stunning!

Wonderful home, great views and relaxing atmosphere

Thank you for a wonderful vacation. It was only a short trip from Puerto Rico, but it felt like home when I arrived. The entire property was so tropical. I especially liked the flamboyant trees. And of course the views were amazing. Everything I needed was at the house. We cooked most nights and made good use of the dining room and the outdoor dining. One of my favorite things to do was to sit under the tree by the fire pit on a cozy night. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and expect to be there again next year.

The guest bath toilet leaked and flooded the guest bath on the first night. We reported it, and the bathroom was unusable for the trip. I would have expected a couple hundred bucks back but the host didn’t offer and didn’t respond to my request for partial refund which was disappointing. The stay was otherwise pleasant.

Wonderful property in a great location

I am never really sure how a property will be when you look at photographs but the photos for Villa Tortuga do not do it justice. This is a lovely home in a beautiful location. The views from the deck are outstanding and I could sit out there all day with a drink in hand taking in the beauty of St. Croix. The home is well maintained and extremely comfortable and clean. The home has everything you could possibly need but if something did come up I have no doubt the property manager would take care of it. He was very attentive and the owner of the property was easy to reach as well. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return myself!

Amazing House with Amazing View

We had a lovely stay at this house for a week. James was very responsive with any questions we had. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. House is beautifully decorated with nice furniture. The most scenic drive was out towards Point Udall and around the southeast shore. The prettiest beach was Carambola. You can park just before the entrance and take the stairs down through the resort. The best swimming beach was Sandy Point out by Frederiksted. There’s also a really good restaurant on the beach, called Rhythms at Rainbow Beach. We also had two friendly cat brothers who came to visit us every day. I would definitely stay here again.

Dream Honeymoon at Tortuga!

When we arrived, we were stunned by the beauty of the property! It feels like you're in a secluded tropical oasis and the view from the balcony is priceless. We spent a lot of time just looking out across the island throughout the day. The home is incredibly quiet and peaceful - we did not want to leave. The inside of the home is open with high ceilings, nice rooms, and great showers. We enjoyed the 3 setting rain shower in the master room! The Jacuzzi was also a wonderful touch especially on our honeymoon and after adventuring during the day. One suggestion would be providing a more invited and welcomed guest feel - at times it felt like we did not always have ready access to what we needed. For example, working batteries for flashlights during the power outage or a newer, more user-friendly coffeemaker. Very minor things though. We absolutely would return to Villa Tortuga! We were so sad to leave and would love to go back one day.

Spectacular home away from home!!

Several other reviewers have said the pictures don't do this place justice, and they are right! This is a wonderful home up on the hill overlooking Christiansted and Buck Island. The view captivates you as soon as you enter the home, and there are two private galleries to take in the view. The place is impeccably cared for and has a well-equipped kitchen. In fact, we ate supper in most nights...nothing against the great food on the island, but supper with that amazing view was hard to pass up! The yard was well tended and the beds were comfortable. Even though there are air conditioners in the bedrooms, we left the windows open and let the caribbean breeze cool us off at night. The home gets a good steady breeze that will lull you to sleep. There is also a well-equipped laundry room there as well. This place has it all. James was a wonderful host, with good communication throughout the process from initial booking through follow-up to make sure we had a good time. He and property manager Matthew (who was awesome as well!) also had good recommendations for things to do on the island. We were very well cared for...not just a nice house, but great customer service as well. We made some unforgettable memories and will be back...as repeat customers!

I work in the healthcare industry in Atlanta and Ramon is an IT manager. I'm a military brat and have lived in many places here and abroad. I started going to the Caribbean about 20 years ago. After many trips and several islands later, we decided to buy a home on St. Croix. Ramon is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, so moving to St. Croix was like going home for him. This island is the Caribbean's best kept secret. We hope you enjoy this jewel of an island as much as we do!

When looking for a home in St. Croix, we couldn't decide if we wanted a great view or more land. Fortunately with this property we were able to get both! The property is about an acre with incredible views of the both the ocean and hillside.
