"A Heavenly View"

West Jefferson, NC - Look no further for your next heavenly getaway, it's at "A Heavenly View"! This luxurious chalet style log cabin is situated only five minutes from West Jefferson in a private location that offers panoramic long-range views.
For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

Inside you will find an open floor plan with a great room that includes vaulted ceilings, leather seating, a stone fireplace, central heat and air, satellite TV, dining area and modern kitchen. The cabin also offers 2 master suites each with king beds and private bathrooms. One located on the main floor with private access to the porch, picnic area and hot tub.

The other master suite is located on the second floor alongside an open loft that serves as another bedroom with a daybed and trundle with vaulted ceilings and windows that can be used to enjoy the heavenly views.

A Heavenly View, Absolute High, Bluff Mountain Retreat, Picture Perfect and Rest Assured are all located in the same neighborhood, offering lodging for family reunions, church gatherings and corporate retreats.

Note: Pets allowed with a $75 per stay per pet. Airbnb/VRBO will only automatically charge one pet. The host will add an additional $75 for each pet if you are bringing more than one pet.

Post Christmas Birthday Getaway

Reviewer Comments: Great cabin with an incredible view and very close to the town center of West Jefferson, which is a very nice NC mountain town that has a lot to offer. Although there are other houses close by, the location is very private. Just FYI, if you are in the downstairs bedroom, you can hear any and all movements from guests in the upstairs bedroom just above. Also, the paved road to the cabin becomes very steep, so bringing a 4 wheel drive car would be a good idea.

The house was perfect! Clean with everything we needed. The views magnificent! The weather was rainy and cold most of the week but that did not bother us at all. Sat in front of the fireplace and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Enjoyed the firepit when not raining. Would definitely recommend this home and will likely stay here again.

The cabin was lovely and very clean. But it lacked several items to really enjoy it. First the fireplace was wood which we have a wood fireplace at home. We thought it was gas and didn’t take wood so we ended up buying the fireplace log. We couldn’t use the tv in the living space because we didn’t have our Amazon password. The kitchen had limited cooking utensils and only a kerig coffee maker, we use a drip coffee maker . So we bought a coffee maker for our coffee. Last , you absolutely need four wheel or all wheel drive to get up this road and it’s turns.The view was amazing .

What we were not happy about were the beds. The mattresses should be replaced. We also think the place needs a really good cleaning. There were cobwebs in the bedrooms and dead bugs behind the furniture. We noticed this because we had to reach behind things in order to plug chargers in. We still enjoyed our stay but I’ll be sure to bring my own cleaning supplies along with a good frying pan next time.

Fan (in main living room) makes noise when runningKitchen sink disposal does not workSink backs up ... All week this went on..Called property management and they sent person or who snaked the sink... But it kept backing up...Windows in back of the house on first floor did not have screens on them so you couldn’t open the windows unless you wanted to have bugs come in ...What else ohh right when we showed up on first day the lawn crew showed up upon our arrival to cut there grass... What a rude greeting.

Didn’t disappoint

My husband and stayed here for our anniversary. Our experience was phenomenal. The cabin was private yet 5-10 minutes away from the grocery store and downtown west Jefferson. It rained the first 2 1/2 days of our trip and it didn’t matter it was still perfect. The hot tub gave a front row seat to the breathtaking views. This is definitely one of our favorite locations and will return.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really enjoyed the location of the cabin, the porch, and the view. The kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking. Unfortunately, the beds are incredibly uncomfortable, so it was very difficult to get quality sleep. The couch was nearly as uncomfortable as the beds so relaxing and watching a movie at night wasn't as enjoyable as it should be. I would love to say that I would be back soon, but without being able to rest inside while it rained or sleep at night, it's not the getaway I dream of.

The house is comfortable and well stocked. The only negative is that both of the beds while they look comfy when walking into the rooms are very uncomfortable. Mattresses seem to be old and springy, so very little sleep, but the rest of our time was very enjoyable.

Great location, decent cabin.

Cabin was nice. Property manager told me someone would be out to fix a broken porch light by hot tub. Never happened, and communication stopped thereafter. However, i did leave something behind and the property management company quickly called me to get shipping information. Thanks for that!

Beautiful winter stay

The property was just as expected. It was the perfect cozy winter getaway for my husband’s birthday. There were Christmas decorations up and on when we arrived. The property included everything we needed.

Beautiful location

This cabin did have everything that is needed, and it was a great location as well. The cabin was clean, homey and nicely decorated for Christmas. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the washer was SO over the top loud and it kept stopping and had to restart several times. We got to see quite a few of deer right up the hill from where the cabin sat, and the weather was absolutely what we were praying for. Snow snow and more snow the first 3 days.

Heavenly is right!

This property is amazing! It's a gorgeous cabin with breathtaking views. Close enough to West Jefferson to pop out for lunch or groceries, but absolutely quiet if you just want to sit on the porch and watch the birds circling in the valley below. The hot tub was exactly what we were looking for - relaxing under the stars or watching the sunrise over the mountains. The rental staff were so friendly and communicated early and often enough (but not too often) and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back soon!

Truly A Heavenly View!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The location was great and the view was heavenly. It was amazing to sit on the deck and enjoy the 4th of July neighborhood fireworks, along with fireworks from WJ and others! We loved seeing the deer and wild turkeys. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. The only problem was with the WiFi. It was terribly sloooow and frustrating. We felt for the price we were paying, the WiFi should be upgraded. One star off for that. Otherwise, it was all great and we’d love to come back.

A Heavenly View

It was indeed a heavenly view. The cabin was very well maintained and we would recommend it to any of our family or friends. The views were wonderful and location very close to everything we had planned to do. The only thing I would add to this wonderful cabin is a swing and a couple of rockers to the porch. The outdoor furniture there was ok but the swing and rockers would put it over the top. Millers stayed June 23-29th 2024
