Spring 2023 update - An amazing kitchen renovation has just been completed. Now the perfect centerpiece to a house made for entertaining friends and family.

This beautiful contemporary beach house sits just steps from the beach and Jenkinson's boardwalk - east end of Ocean Ave. Convenient, yet secluded. Large private pool and multi-level backyard perfect for entertaining.

20 ft+ ceilings and great natural light throughout the main living area. 5 bedrooms (2 downstairs / 3 upstairs) and 3 bathrooms - new Tempurpedic mattresses in 2018.

No need to worry about street parking - large private driveway capable of holding 4-5 cars.

We really strive to maintain a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at our home. For that reason, we find that families and groups seeking that type of experience tend to make the best fit. Until we find a better means of evaluation, those responsible for booking should all be 30+ years of age.

we loved our stay- the house was clean and comfortable. the pool was great for the kids and the proximity to the beach, boardwalk, shops and restaurants kept everyone happy. we wil definitely consider staying again!

The pool with the gate on the patio was a hit with everyone. It was good coming back to the pool and the gas grill after spending time on the beach. Bradshaw Beach was just a short walk around the corner. The new kitchen with an electric stove had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was very good. Definitely will be back.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The locking gate around the pool is perfect for children and you canā€™t beat the location! The kitchen was fully equipped with anything youā€™d need to cook a family dinner. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing

A mishap in the beginning but it all worked out, thanks to the owners. This place was loved from my entire family. The yard and pool was fantastic. My grandchildren Had a ball. Plenty of room inside the house to accommodate everyone. A few minute walk to the beach and a short walk to the boardwalk. Oh yeahā€¦the kitchen was large and beautiful. Thank you Janet for allowing us to enjoy your home

This was just an amazing vacation the property was a 10 perfect quiet relaxing stay just far enough from Jenkinsons Board walk but close enough to walk you canā€™t beat this location Bradshaw beach is the go to place if you want to keep low key and itā€™s just rite around the corner the property owners have done an amazing job a must stay

Terrific location. Space worked well for 3-generation family.

Common space had plenty of room to hang together. Kitchen had what we needed. Pool was perfect way for our infants and 3-year-olds to enjoy swimming..Easy walk to beach and boardwalk. Our last night we enjoyed boardwalk fireworks from second floor balcony. Host was very responsive when we had questions.

Great location, spacious and clean

Really nice visit for a moms weekend away. The location was great and the house was very clean. I would just say it is dated and there could be some maintenance attended to - lights not working, kitchen very old, towel racks falling off walls. Also the pool was very cold a heater would be a great touch if they considered adding. Didnā€™t impact us but there are not enough beach badges for how many fit in the house just FYI. Otherwise very nice stay and friendly owner who reached out immediately when we had questions which was very much appreciated!

Disappointed about beach access

Disappointed about beach access. Being second from the beach I assumed the beach access would be right in front of the house. It was disappointing to have to walk a bit down the street to the beach access. That aspect should be clearer in the ad. Otherwise, the house was very nice and it is a big house with a lot of room.

Very nice house but camera made it uncomfortable

The house was very nice just a description listed. What we were not aware of in the beginning was there was an active camera recording the backyard and pool activity. This should have been told before we arrived when we reached out to book. We know owners watched because they reached out to tell us to turn off pool light after it was left on my mistake the next morning. Made us a little less comfortable after we knew they were watching us on our vacation. Should have been upfront about the camera so we could have made a decision to book or not knowing it would be there.

Great location! Property needs to be renovated.

This property is well located. Easy walk to the beach and close to the boardwalk. The space was perfect for our stay - 2 families with a total of 4 kids. Very nice that two bedrooms had king sized beds for the adults. The bedrooms were private and the overall layout of the house is a big plus. However, the house needs major updates. The kitchen cabinets are filled with odds and ends; they need to be cleaned out and restocked with fresh housewares. The furniture is ghastly - uncomfortable sofas with horrid slip covers that do not fit and look terrible. There is broken furniture held together with tape and boasting sticky notes telling you to be careful when sitting in it! Every wall is covered with outdated wall hangings/artwork and there are fake floral arrangements that were in style 20+ years ago. This does nothing to create a relaxing feel. JUST GET RID OF IT! The bathrooms have tile floors that are cracked and broken. Also, the vertical window blinds throughout the house are broken and/or missing panels. The condition of this home is really quite shameful. The location and overall layout and space could make this a premier rental property in Point Pleasant. The owners would be smart to make some very necessary repairs and updates to this home.

Great overall stay!

We had such a great experience staying in this spacious house. The layout was great, we had six adults and three children ages 5 and under and there was more than plenty of space for everyone! Overall, the house was clean and well-kept, the proximity to the beach and boardwalk were just what we were hoping for, and communication with the owner was excellent. Will be back!

Place is dated. Everything in working order. Could not bring pop ups onto beach.

Not being able to bring a pop up to beach hindered 2 people of my group from spending any time on beach. Brought 9 people total , only 4 beach passes. House located on a very busy street. Oven door did not close all the way , which could be a safety issue for small children. The pool was nice to have. All of us used it daily.

The customer service was really bad, we were treated with no respect at all

We wanted to have a great weekend, but instead they made us feel really bad, they told us that our money was nothing when we tried to talk about to change the air conditioner, because the house was so hot, we couldnā€™t sleep well and the children either, also

Lovely location

The location of the home is perfect! The beach is gorgeous and so easily accessible, just a short walk around the corner. Close to downtown Point Pleasant and plenty of other towns. The pool and outdoor space is excellent for at home entertainment. The indoor space is great size for a group with enough space for everyone to spread out. I agree with some previous reviews about the interior being a bit dated, though it is functional with enough entertainment room, plenty of bedroom and bathroom space. I would recommend bringing your own towels, especially with a larger group. Important to clarify check in procedures prior to arrival, the communication through the reminder email was incorrect but the details within the app were correct. The host/property manager were responsive and were able to quickly sort things out!

Pay close attention to the rules

Overall, our stay was as expected. As others have noted, the finishings and decor are dated but that didnā€™t effect the quality of our time. The home is situated behind a beachfront property so there is no immediate beach access. If you step foot on the neighboring driveway, you will be accosted by the neighbor and scolded by the owner of this property. In summary, the house is fine - itā€™s a quick walk to the beach and close to the attractions.

Weekend away

Had a great time at this house! It was plenty of space for our group. Liked the common areas. The pool and outdoor space were really nice to have. Very close to the beach - not super crowded in this area which was what we wanted in the midst of Covid. Plenty of parking space. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is great but the property is run down and outdated.

The property is very outdated and is not cleaned out. Everything is older and falling apart. Too much junk in the cabinets and closets as if someone lived there 20 years ago. I would rent for the whole summer because of location but the kitchen is in great need of an update, patio chairs and tables old and rickety, carpet in bedrooms filthy, screens falling off. Felt like I was staying in my great aunts old house...too bad because with a little clean out and updating it would be great.

False advertising to start- last 2 pictures should be removed from rental site. There is no beach/water/ocean view. We were sent an email from property owner the day before stating there would be 4 beach badges(home sleeps 10) and that children under 5 were free.not true- children under 3 are free and badges are $10.00 per day. This turned out to be an additional 420.00 we did not budget for. In addition, he stated the house was 3 houses from beach access, yet it was 5 houses- not "steps away" as stated on the website. To make matters worse...grill was left for us with no gas - both tanks were empty. Screens had multiple holes and tears that scotch tape had been place to cover... we were eaten alive.the last 4 days we had no air conditioning...it was 89' degrees in the house.Tile in downstairs bathroom cracked and loose - children cut their foot while entering bathroom.Upstairs shower did not drain.Worst of all no contact numbers left for us.We called homeaway and was able to obtain a cell number for property owner.. no return call. We have be coming to the beach for many many years. This was the worst vacation week we have ever had!

Location Location!

It was just what we were looking for our family to spend time together! Enough room for everyone without being on top of each other, the large spacious and very well stocked kitchen made it feel more like a home than a vacation rental. We were able to stage some beautiful family photos on the pool deck and the balconies. We were there at the end of September, and there were a few things that had obviously taken a beating over a busy beach summer (screens torn, a window or two that wouldn't open) but no double with winter downtime and annual maintenance those small items will be taken care of. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a beach getaway!
