Captains Watch 8 | 1 Block to Main South Beach

Located at Captains Watch Condominiums, Captains Watch 8 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath vacation condo, situated in a perfect South Tybee location. The condo is bright and airy, with a private balcony, within one block to the main beach. This is a great option for multiple couples or family groups. The unit sleeps up to 6 people, with the use of the sunroom and convenient sleeper sofa. This nicely furnished vacation rental faces East in the building and is a corner unit.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter-tops and stainless appliances, a Keurig to brew a fresh cup of coffee and breakfast bar with seating for 4 - making it a perfect space to start your day. The open floor plan includes a kitchen, living room and sunroom with dining table. The living area is comfortably furnished with a sofa and occasional chairs and a flat-screen TV, perfect for gathering after a day at the beach. The sunroom has an additional sofa with a queen-size size sofa-bed for additional bedding options, and the sunroom has a convenient pocket sliding doors to add privacy to the additional space. The dining table seats 4, and the breakfast bar has seating for 4.

The Primary bedroom has a King size bed and a flat-screen TV. The attached primary bathroom has double granite vanities and a large glass-enclosed walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a Queen size bed and flat-screen smart TV. The full guest bath is located next to the guest bedroom and includes a tub/shower combo. This condo is located in a prime location only a short walking distance to the Tybee Pier, many great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and more.

Reserved garage parking for 2 cars (Oversized SUVs and Trucks may not fit.) High-speed Internet/WIFI is available for guest use. Handicap friendly (elevator building). The rooftop pool is open for the summer season, and closed from September to May.

Please note: There are exterior security cameras in the parking garage.

Great location

We loved the easy walk to the beach and many restaurants. Not much view from the outside space but it was comfortable and clean. Had a great time!

Staying at Tybee

Location made it easy to access beach, food, shops without having to worry about parking. I could let my kids be independent since items were so close Property instructions were straightforward No issues that would not have been encountered anywhere else (noisy neighbors). That would be anywhere we could have stayed.

Nice condo, but info was misleading

The condo we stayed in was nice and the location was near the beach and shopping. We were very disappointed in the “pool”, though. We had 2 ten year olds who love swimming as much as the beach, so we purposely selected a condo with pool availability. The pool at CAPTAIN’s Watch is extremely small and only 3.5 feet deep. The girls were very disappointed.. we will not be staying there again.

South Tybee Island

Great location across the Coastal Hwy from the beach and 1 block from Pier. Overall, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well labeled and easy to locate items. The rooftop pool was a nice area to catch the sunset. A few minor opportunities: a few dishes needed cleaning, master bath shower door and the main entry door sticking/difficult to close, microwave turned itself off before the timer finished and the dryer lint trap was torn. One elevator was out of service. The elevator was back in order before our visit ended, just would have been helpful to post signage during the outage.

Nice place, great location

I had a good experience with this properly. It was clean and well kept, the beds are comfortable and everything functioned properly. It was in a great location. The only issue we had was the noise from upstairs neighbors - which isn’t within the control of the property owner or manager.

A little disappointed

I stayed at a TVR rental before and this was not the same experience. It was very noisy and doors slamming all night. There were alot of broken items inside the unit like blinds and so forth. The temperature was extremely hard to maintain. We could never get the wi-fi to work, so my sons used there cell phone data for school. I was disappointed, I won't say that I am done with TVR, but I will never stay at this location again.

It's ok. but not what you would expect for 300 bucks a night. first the worse thing is that if you want to sleep forget it. there are no curtains in the house and there are so many lights outside that 2 AM looks like 2 PM in the entire place and if you are wanting to try and sleep you just can't. not anywhere in the place. So first thing they need to do is buy some curtains. second thing is the parking. it is almost impossible to park if there is someone already in the parking space next to u. good luck not hitting the post and ruining your car. this parking is a joke. For 300 bucks a night it's just not what you would expect. the floor in the master bedroom is coming unglued. not a big deal but again for the money. the "balcony" is funny cause there is a view of absolutely nothing. well you can see the power lines....the pool on the roof. there is no shade. So when the sun is out there is no escape from the heat. no umbrellas no shade of any kind. Just not what I would expect for the money. it says it

October 2018 Stay

This was our third visit to Tybee and second visit staying in Captain’s Watch condos. Location is perfect being close to beach, Tybresia shops and restaurants, as well Tybee Social Club and Sting Rays. Very much enjoyed our condo and our vacation!

April 2018 Stay

Overall we had a great trip and look forward to coming back next year! We had a rough start to our stay with coming back to the room infested with termites! But fortunately they moved us to brass rail 316 which is beautiful and big. Very well kept and smelled fresh! The pools and hot tubs are checked daily and everything is gated which is a plus! Thanks TVR for helping us out with the bug situation and relocating us to a beautiful place! Here is a photo we took from Captain Derek’s Dolphin Tours.

July 2018 Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Captains Watch 8. Location was just a quick block walk to the beach and there were plenty of restaurants and shops walking distance as well. We enjoyed The Social House, Fannies and the Sno Balls ice cream shop (caramel cookie dough was amazing!) There is also a grocery store about 1/4 mile away which was very convenient. The condo was nice and clean. The roof top pool is small, but was perfect for our needs. If you’re looking to stay here I would highly recommend it! Great place! We had zero issues and were very happy! One thing I would suggest to the owners is to add black out curtains to the bedrooms. The bedrooms face the hotel next door and lets in so much light at night. Also, toilet paper was not provided so be sure to bring your own!

Nice and Beautiful place to stay! Good Location!

Captains Watch 8 is nice place to stay! My wife and kids loved that design! Rooftop pool was a plus! We would love to rent that place again when have the opportunity in the future! Only one star was taken away is parking garage under the condo due of my Nissan Titan Pro4X truck, it can fit but these posts (that supports the house) between parking slots made me very nervous and it could get very tight especially if other vehicles are parked there. Captains Watch 8 property location, it does have parking space outside but only drawback is that we had to pay extra for the parking outside the property (Tybee Island parking services) to be able to park outside. They give us parking pass to park inside the garage but not for outside of property. I wish they could put this in consideration to include parking permit to be able to park outside around Captains Watch's property. They have parking slots around the Captains Watch 8 and it looks like these slots belong to the city of Tybee Island. Other than, it was great experience and enjoyable vacation for us! Good places to visit!

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

Great location. Garage is small, I drive a 4x4 truck not lifted and it nearest cleared the entrance. Had a great time.

Great condo, excellent location

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and bright, and we were provided ample towels and linens. Great location - we loved being able to walk to everything! The only negative was that the WiFi wasn’t working, so our son couldn’t use the tv in the back bedroom. Not a huge deal to us, but worth mentioning.

Great Beach Condo

This is a bright, modern, conveniently located condo complex. I wish it provided online booking. Tybee Vacation Rentals are pros, but it was a little disconcerting to be taken off-line after I submitted my inquiry through HomeAway/VRBO.

Great location! Clean property

This was a great location for a tybee vacation. Very close to everything. Parking quarters were pretty tight, but we knew that going in. Still plenty of room for the 5 of us! Great vacation!
